Patent number: 5567368Abstract: In the present invention, a preliminary extruding operation is carried out for each section of a movable die moving pattern DA corresponding to the configuration of an article, thereby determining a suitable back pressure at which a desired cross-sectional dimension is obtained. The movable die is secured to a position DA1 corresponding to a side section of the article, then screw revolutions are changed while extruding a molding material. Thus, determined as a suitable back pressure BPO for the side section is a specified value of the back pressures BP at which the molded product has the desired cross-sectional dimension. Likewise, a suitable back pressure for the upper section is also determined, so that a pattern of the suitable back pressures BPO is determined. In view of the time delay, timings of change in an initial setting pattern R1 for the screw revolutions are advanced for periods of times T.sub.11, T.sub.12, T.sub.13 and T.sub.14 from the timings of change in the pattern DA.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1995Date of Patent: October 22, 1996Assignee: Tokai Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yukimasa Ando, Katsutomi Kishino

Patent number: 5558828Abstract: A flange of a panel is inserted into an extrusion port of an extrusion molding die through an insertion slit which opens laterally of the extrusion port to thereby form between the extrusion port and the flange a molding space which corresponds to a trim member. A material for a trim member is extruded forwardly of the extrusion port through the molding space, and the die and the flange are moved relatively to each other while adjusting the amount of insertion of the flange into the extrusion port so that a distance between a reference position on the panel and the trim member is maintained at a constant distance. Thus, a trim member is extrusion molded on the edge of the flange of the panel and is mounted thereon simultaneously and yet accurately in a desired outer shape.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 1995Date of Patent: September 24, 1996Assignee: Tokai Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yukihiko Yada, Takeaki Niwa

Patent number: 5552194Abstract: The invention relates to a glass plate having a molding formed on a peripheral edge thereof. The present invention provides an extrusion die having first and second void spaces formed therein. The first void space is provided for supplying an adhesive to the peripheral edge, and the second void space is provided for supplying a molding material to the peripheral edge. The first and second void spaces are specifically arranged relative to each other. With this, while the glass plate is moved relative to the extrusion die, the molding is extruded on the peripheral edge simultaneously with the formation of the adhesive layer on the peripheral edge. Thus, the formations of the molding and the adhesive layer are conducted in one production process. With this, the production efficiency is much improved.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1994Date of Patent: September 3, 1996Assignees: Central Glass Company, Limited, Tokai Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tosikazu Ito, Yutaka Yamauchi

Patent number: 5536459Abstract: An extrusion molded article is extrusion molded through an extrusion opening of a die. Then, in a vulcanizing bath, the cross-sectional configuration of the extrusion molded article is modified by utilizing shaping means during the process from the start of vulcanization of the extrusion molded article to a semi-vulcanization thereof, and subsequently, vulcanization of the extrusion molded article is completed. In this way, a long elastic member having required elasticity and having a cross-sectional configuration changed to a required one can be easily manufactured.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 1995Date of Patent: July 16, 1996Assignee: Tokai Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Hiroyuki Morita
