Abstract: An optically transparent hydrogel forming material comprising a copolymer of an optically transparent polyester having a molecular weight of 1,000 to 100,000 and at least one of polymerizable group in its molecule and N-vinyllactam. The hydrogel forming material has an excellent optical property, high gas-permeability and excellent mechanical property.
Abstract: An electrolytic sterilizer for contact lenses comprising a main body accommodating a power source unit and a sterilizing container detachably mountable on the main body and having electrodes electrically connectable, through container-side contacts and main body-side contacts, to said power source for electrolysis, wherein the main body has a groove for a waste solution, and the main body-side contacts are located outside of the groove.
