Abstract: A material system for producing a water-soluble casting mold, comprising at least one water-soluble material for building a casting mold in a layering method, as well as comprising at least one material for sealing the surface of the casting mold. The water-soluble material is a material for building the casting mold using a powder bed-based layering method. The sealing material is preferably water insoluble. The material system may also include a free-flowing, hardenable material, which is preferably a hydraulically setting material. The materials of the casting mold are preferably dissolved with the aid of an aqueous solution, and in particular with the aid of a heated aqueous solution.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for constructing a laminar body from a plurality of superimposed layers of free-flowing material, in particular particulate material, and a build platform within a working area. The layers are solidified in locally predetermined regions by the action of binders and are joined together so that at least one moulded body is formed by the solidified and joined regions of the layers. The device comprises a discharging device movable back and forth over the working area in at least one discharge direction and having at least one discharge opening from which the free-flowing material can be discharged in individual superimposed layers during the movement of the discharging device.

Abstract: The invention relates to methods and devices for constructing models in layers. A region for constructing models, preferably a construction platform, and a material applying device for applying material onto the region are provided. The material applying device is arranged in a movable manner over the region. The material applying device is designed as a portal such that the material applying device can be moved over the region at least via two linear guides arranged at opposite sides of the region, and the material applying device is arranged around the region such that a portal is formed by at least two portions that extend laterally with respect to the region.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for applying fluids, particularly in a method for producing three-dimensional shaped parts, wherein a coating device comprising a blade, a fluid outlet and a reservoir is provided, and the blade is displaced across the working field such that it can implement a rotational movement type vibration, said vibration occurring as the result of a stroke by a linear actuator.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method, a device, a binder system, and a material system for producing components using layering technology, wherein the temperature in the building space and/or in the applied material is set to at least 70° C. and maintained for at least 2 hours. Areas on which binder has been selectively applied, solidify and form the component.
Abstract: The instant invention relates to a method for changing characteristics of a plastic component, wherein a medium is introduced into the plastic component, which encompasses a porosity and wherein the medium forms a homogenous compound with the plastic component by at least partially dissolving the plastic component.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for producing three-dimensional objects based on computer-provided data. Material is extruded on a surface of a workpiece (e.g., in two-dimensions). The workpiece is then moved incrementally so that additional material can be extruded on the new surface of the work piece. These steps are repeated until the 3-dimensional object is completed. The present invention also relates to a device including an extruder system for extruding a build material in multiple directions on a surface of a workpiece, and a conveying component for moving the workpiece incrementally for extruding additional material on the new surface. The method and device preferably allows for the continuous construction of three-dimensional objects.

Abstract: A method for producing molded parts (16), a water-soluble casting mold (6) being produced in a first step using a layering method, in particular using a powder bed-based layering method. In a second step, the surface of the casting mold (6) is sealed with the aid of a material (9; 10). A casting of the molded part (16) is then formed by filling the casting mold (6) with a free-flowing, hardenable material (13), in particular a hydraulically setting material. After the casting has solidified, the casting mold (6) is dissolved with the aid of an aqueous solution (18), in particular a heated aqueous solution (18). The present application furthermore relates to a material system for producing a water-soluble casting mold (6), comprising at least one water-soluble material for building a casting mold (6) in a layering method, as well as comprising at least one material (9; 10) for sealing the surface of the casting mold (6).
