Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of and an apparatus for generating a space for sharing augmented reality content among multiple participants. With the method and the apparatus, an object for configuring a virtual space, which is proposed in an actual space, can also be proposed, in a spatial matching manner on a per-user basis, inside a common sharing space in augmented reality content by utilizing the technology of generating a space for sharing augmented reality content among multiple participants.

Abstract: In an example, a companion user account is generated without a user specifying a username of the companion user account, wherein the companion user account is different than a primary user account of the user. A first interface, that provides access to resources associated with the primary user account, is displayed via a client application. A second interface, that provides access to resources associated with the companion user account, is displayed via the client application. A content targeting profile associated with the companion user account is generated based upon activity associated with the companion user account and/or one or more interests selected by the user. A subset of content items is selected, from among a plurality of content items and based upon the content targeting profile, for presentation via the second interface associated with the companion user account. A content item of the subset of content items is displayed via the second interface.

Abstract: Edge server cache techniques are described to prepopulate an edge server cache. The edge servers are configurable to maintain a first set of digital content that is currently made available via content requests to client devices. The edge servers are also configured to maintain a second set of digital content, separately, that is to be launched. The second set of digital content is not made publicly available until launch, but rather is “pre-warmed” in the caches of the respective edge servers. In an implementation, prelaunch access is provided using respective credentials, e.g., to verify operation of the second set of digital content using software and hardware resources at actual edge servers that implement the caches.

Abstract: The techniques disclosed herein provide dynamic permissions for controlling the display of messages directed to a presenter of a communication system. For example, during a presentation of an online meeting, a system may selectively permit private messages to be sent to a presenter from designated participants. The private messages sent from the designated participants are displayed to the presenter in a manner that does not allow the other participants to see the messages. For instance, if the presenter is sharing a screen from a computer, the system can determine a set of permitted users allowed to send messages to the presenter. The system configures permissions to cause the messages to be displayed in a manner that allows the presenter to view the messages along with their presentation content, while filtering pixels of the messages on the display of non-permitted users.

Abstract: A method using media arbitration includes, while a first assistant-enabled device is performing a first long-standing operation, determining the first assistant-enabled device satisfies a co-presence condition with a second assistant-enabled device, and determining that the second assistant-enabled device is performing a second long-standing operation that conflicts with the first long-standing operation performed by the first assistant-enabled device. Based on determining that the first long-standing operation and the second long-standing operation conflict, the method also includes executing an operation arbitration routine to identify one or more compromise operations for at least one of the first assistant-enabled device or the second assistant-enabled device to perform, and instructing the first assistant-enabled device or the second assistant-enabled device to perform a selected compromise operation among the identified compromise operations.

The method includes: receiving (S101) a service request message, and sending (S102) the service request message to a corresponding storage unit through N tiers of computing nodes, where N is an integer greater than or equal to 2, and the closer the tier is to the storage unit, the larger the number of computing nodes in that tier is.

Abstract: A method for use in a first layer-3 switch, the method comprising: learning, by the first layer-3 switch, a first layer-3/layer-2 (L3/L2) cache, the learning of the first L3/L2 cache including generating a first cache entry that maps a layer-3 address of a first device to a layer-2 address of the first device, the first device being part of a first LAN portion; and transmitting, over a wireless network, contents of the first L3/L2 cache to a second layer-3 switch, the transmitted contents including at least a portion of the first cache entry, the second layer-3 switch being part a second LAN portion, the second LAN portion being connected to the first LAN portion via the wireless network.

Abstract: A delayed messaging application that allows a user to leave future messages for one or more recipients. The application maintains regular contact with the user and release of the messages is initiated upon a failure to confirm the continued existence of the user. A user first writes one or more messages they would like delivered to one or more recipients at some point in the future, based on a triggering event. For each message, a ping controller configurable in a secure message mode wherein the message is inaccessible and the ping controller periodically pings an electronic device according to the settings and receives responses to pings. Responsive to a lack of one or more responses to one or more pings the ping controller is configured to enter an unsecured message mode wherein the message is accessible.

Abstract: Systems and methods for delivering content to user equipment are described. The content may be delivered using Internet Protocol (IP) delivery, Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) delivery, or another delivery format. For example, the system may receive content including a plurality of segments. The system may use manifest data to identify each of the plurality of segments. The system may also use the manifest data to generate index data for the plurality of segments, and the index data may be delivered to user devices with the plurality of segments. In some aspects, the system may use location information (e.g., timestamps, such as program clock references) for one or more data packet of the one of the plurality of segments to generate location information for other data packets.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques related to medicine administration in dynamic networks. The techniques may involve identifying an amount of medicine for delivery to a patient and determining a communication path toward a first medicine administration device of a plurality of medicine administration devices in a mesh network. The plurality of medicine administration devices may further include a second medicine administration device that is prioritized over the first medicine administration device for delivering medicine to the patient. The techniques may further involve causing delivery of the amount of medicine to the patient by the first medicine administration device based on communicating the amount of medicine toward the first medicine administration device via the communication path when the amount of medicine remains undelivered by the second medicine administration device.

Abstract: Devices, computer-readable media, and methods for pre-loading video chunks of a video program at an edge server are disclosed. For example, a processor may receive a manifest file for a video program, determine a bitrate for a first segment of the video program, request a video chunk of the first segment at the first bitrate from an edge server in accordance with the manifest file, and request a subset of a video chunk of a second segment of the video program from the edge server.

Abstract: An email message delivery system is described that provides a fast and reliable managed email delivery service using MTAs and proxy servers. An email message is selected by an MTA for processing. The MTA determines a sender and an intended recipient associated with the email message. The MTA then identifies a pool of usable source internet protocol addresses for the email message based on the sender and selects a particular source IP address from the pool. The MTA then identifies a particular proxy server that is configured to handle the selected particular source IP address and communicates to the particular proxy server, information including the particular source IP address and the destination IP address. The MTA then transmits the email message to the destination IP address using a connection established by the proxy server between the particular source IP address and the destination IP address.

Abstract: A receiving logic of a network subscriber can be configured in a first filter setting to forward telegrams having first and second addressing techniques to first and second processing units, with a transmitting logic configured to forward the telegrams to a transmitting port. In a second filter setting, the receiving logic can be configured to duplicate the telegrams and forward to the first and second processing units, with the first processing unit configured to discard telegrams using the second addressing technique and the second processing unit configured to discard telegrams using the first addressing technique. The receiving logic of a third filter setting can be configured to duplicate telegrams and forward to the first and second processing units, with the transmitting logic configured to forward only telegrams using the first addressing technique from the first processing unit, and only telegrams using the second addressing technique from the second processing unit.

Abstract: Methods are provided for synchronizing task execution and/or data collection on multiple network devices. The methods involve obtaining a command to be executed on a plurality of target network devices and splitting the command into a plurality of single device execution tasks. Each single device execution task is for a respective network device of the plurality of target network devices. The methods further involve providing each of the plurality of single device execution tasks, via a command line interface or an application programming interface, to a respective one of the plurality of target network devices. The plurality of single device execution tasks being provided within a bounded time interval.

The routing engine is operative to transmit the message thread to a message queue associated with a live agent and to receive a reply from the live agent and transmit the reply to the user. The agent interface includes an active chat thread displaying the message thread and operative to receive the reply from the live agent, and a support window operative to display contextual information to the live agent about at least one of the user or the message thread. A method, performed by at least one processor that implements at least one server includes: obtaining a group identifier of a pair of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and a controller of the UAV, or a respective group identifier for each of the pair; provisioning Quality of Service (QoS) for communication of the pair, using the group identifier of the pair or the respective group identifier for each of the pair; and determining whether a condition of the communication satisfies a pre-defined QoS requirement for the communication of the pair of the UAV and the controller, wherein the pre-defined QoS requirement includes a UAV originated QoS and a UAV terminated QoS.
