The method includes receiving a job at the multi-function device for a pre-defined operation. The method further includes providing a user interface at the multi-function device including an option for adding the content from the external medium. Once the option is selected, a code generated corresponding to the job is displayed at the multi-function device. Upon scanning the code, the user selects the content to be added and provides details of the content to be added from the external medium.
