Abstract: Methods and systems are described for improved techniques for consuming and interacting with media content. Specifically, a media guidance application may present a holographic structure using a holographic interface. Moreover, the media guidance application may monitor the user and/or area about the holographic interface for user interactions that may cause the media guidance application to alter the holographic structure based on a user interaction. The media guidance application may also after altering the holographic structure, generate for display a media asset associated with the holographic structure.

Abstract: A data replacement apparatus according to one aspect of the present invention includes an acquisition unit, a determination unit, and a replacement unit. The acquisition unit acquires first control data having a value based on the position of a first device which can be mounted on a user's head and the position of a second device which can be gripped by a user. The determination unit determines whether or not a prescribed condition is satisfied. The replacement unit replaces the first control data with second control data when it is determined that the condition is satisfied. The second control data has a value not based on the position of the first device and/or the position of the second device.

Abstract: A computer-implemented technique is described herein for efficiently and reliably interacting with a nonconforming application component in a windowing environment. The nonconforming application component corresponds to a type of application (such as, but not limited to, an immersive-type full-screen application) that was not originally designed for presentation of application content in a windowing environment, or was not originally designed for presentation of application content in a windowing environment of a certain type. In some implementations, the computer-implemented technique generates a composite window by: creating a system-owned frame; receiving an application-owned window; and creating the composite window by combining the frame and the application-owned window. The technique can thereafter control the composite window by performing operations on the composite window via its system-owned frame.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for assigning differential weight to participants in a meeting, and for automatically generating summaries of meetings. A transcript of the meeting is generated or obtained; and meeting data and meta-data is analyzed, optionally utilizing textual analysis and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Roles or titles are determined for each participant; and a differential weight is allocated to utterances of each participant based on his role or title. Optionally, the weight is modified based on the relation between the participant's role and the topic of an utterance, or by taking into account the level of activity or passiveness of each participant. Optionally, a high-ranking participant is assigned a prevailing weight, with regard to all topics or with regard to a subset of topics. The system generates automatically a summary of approved decisions, approved action items, rejected proposals, or other insights.

A display interface of a display screen includes a main display interface and a secondary display interface. The method includes: receiving a component call request sent by a user; switching the main display interface to the secondary display interface according to the component call request; and displaying preset component content on the secondary display interface according to a preset component display mode. Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for displaying content without obscuring key details on a computer screen. After the computing system detects the display of overlapping application windows, objects in the application windows are detected using an object recognition service. A determination is then made as to which of these detected objects correspond to objects that are being focused by the user, will be focused by the user and/or have been focused by the user based on the tracking of the eye gaze of the user and/or prior recorded patterns of activity. A score may then be generated for each of these focused objects indicating a level of obstruction using the location of the focused objects, the location of overlays and/or prior recorded patterns of activity. An optimal layout of the overlapped application windows is determined in response to the score for the focused object(s) exceeding a threshold value.

Abstract: Techniques for customization of user interfaces in a computing system are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, at a server, data representing a change signal from a first client device of a first user. The change signal indicates that the first user has modified a display layout of profile information of a person of interest viewed by the first user on the first client device. The method also includes identifying a second user having a viewing context that is sufficiently similar to the first user. The method further includes automatically applying the modified display layout of the profile information on a second client device corresponding to the identified second user upon receiving a request from the second user for viewing the profile information of the person of interest.

Abstract: A remote control device for a manufacturing equipment and a method for detecting manual control are provided. The method for detecting the manual control on the manufacturing equipment includes the following steps. A cursor pattern is created. When the user interface is automatically controlled, a history location of the cursor pattern shown on a user interface of the manufacturing equipment is detected to obtain a location distribution. The location distribution is stored. A current location of the cursor pattern shown on the user interface is detected. If the current location is not within the location distribution, it is deemed that the user interface is manually controlled.
