  • Patent number: 9208271
Abstract: Embodiments provide methods, systems, and devices involving transaction correlation tools that may record a limited number of run attributes yet are likely to be important in the debugging process. Some embodiments may include novel tabular representations of the runs. Embodiments may allow the user to specify directives for the recording of the runs and the creation of these tables. Embodiments may include comparing sets of failing and passing runs, which may be generated at random. This approach is called statistical debugging, as it employs statistical tools to find attributes of the DVE that tend to co-occur with the failure.

  • Patent number: 9183329
Abstract: A virtual platform simulates behavior of a modular circuit based on a circuit design including both high-level and low-level models of circuit modules. A compiler that converts the high-level and low-level models into executable models prior to an initial simulation also generates a separate “replay engine” corresponding to each low-level module for use during subsequent replay simulations. During the initial simulation, the virtual platform simulates circuit behavior by concurrently executing the high-level and low-level executable models and recording data representing behavior of output signals of the low-level design modules modeled by the executable models. To speed up subsequent replays of the simulation, the virtual platform executes one or more of the replay engines in lieu of executing their corresponding low-level executable models.

  • Patent number: 9176245
Abstract: Systems, methods, and instructions encoded in a computer-readable medium can perform operations related to refining information on characteristics of natural fractures of a subterranean formation. Fracture pattern models are generated based on sampling an initial distribution of values for a fracture parameter. Each fracture pattern model may include, for example, a model of natural fractures in a subterranean formation. Each fracture pattern model is compared to microseismic event data for a subterranean region. A refined distribution for the fracture parameter is generated based on the comparison. Generating the refined distribution may include, for example, selecting values of the fracture parameter from fracture pattern models that correlate with the microseismic event data. In some implementations, an injection treatment may be simulated and/or designed based on the refined distribution.
