  • Patent number: 11751816
Abstract: A cusp catastrophe approach is provided for predicting an occurrence of an ischemic myocardial event (e.g., acute myocardial infarction) for a human patient based on measurements of a vital sign via one or more sensors. The one or more sensors may comprise a user-wearable device. A cusp catastrophe model is used to process the vital signs measured. In some aspects, the cusp catastrophe model is used for processing a time series constructed from the vital sign measurements. In aspects, the time series may also include historical vital signs of the patient stored in an electronic health record system. A likelihood of the patient experiencing a myocardial ischemia occurrence is determined based on an output of the cusp catastrophe model satisfying a threshold. Based on the likelihood determined, a response action is initiated.

  • Patent number: 11730397
Abstract: An apparatus yields signals that are equivalent to ECG signals and allow determination of a heartbeat interval or heart rate from bio-vibration signals including vibrations derived from heartbeats. An ECG meter acquires ECG signals of a sample, and a piezoelectric sensor acquires bio-vibration signals of the sample simultaneously. The bio-vibration signals include beating vibration signals derived from heartbeats. A learning unit of a prediction modeling apparatus establishes a prediction model by machine learning in which ECG signals are used as teaching data, and model input signals obtained by performing a specified processing on the bio-vibration signals are input. The learning unit delivers the prediction model to a prediction unit of a signal processing apparatus. The prediction model predicts and outputs pECG signals upon input of model input signals obtained by performing a specified processing on bio-vibration signals acquired from a subject under prediction with a piezoelectric sensor.
