  • Patent number: 7173651
Abstract: The invention comprises a wireless camera apparatus and system for automatic capture and delivery of digital image “messages” to a remote system at a predefined destination address. Initial transmission occurs via a wireless network, and the apparatus process allows the simultaneous capture of new messages while transmissions are occurring. The destination address may correspond to an e-mail account, or may correspond to a remote server from which the image and data can be efficiently processed and/or further distributed. In the latter case, data packaged with the digital message is used to control processing of the message at the server, based on a combination of pre-defined system and user options. Secured Internet access to the server allows flexible user access to system parameters for configuration of message handling and distribution options, including the option to build named distribution lists which are downloaded to the wireless camera.

  • Patent number: 7164902
Abstract: Configuration of a connection between an even-harmonic mixer and a filter is simplified, thereby enabling size reduction. An even-harmonic mixer and a high-frequency bandpass filter are connected to each other via a transmission line, thereby forming a filter-integrated even-harmonic mixer. The length of the transmission line is set so that impedance on the transmission line side as viewed from a connection point between the even-harmonic mixer and the transmission line is approximately 0 for a frequency fLO of a local oscillation signal. This allows elimination of an open stub which is used in a conventional even-harmonic mixer and of which the line length to provide equivalent grounding for the frequency fLO is about 1 mm. Thus, the connection portion between the even-harmonic mixer and the high-frequency bandpass filter is simplified and a compact circuit layout for the filter-integrated even-harmonic mixer is obtainable.

  • Patent number: 7158773
Abstract: A wireless LAN base station is provided with a noise signal scanning antenna separately from a wireless signal reception antenna. An attenuation circuit section attenuates the received signal from the noise scanning antenna according to an attenuation factor from an attenuation factor storage section. A distance setting storage section stores a distance between the wireless signal reception antenna and the noise scanning antenna. An attenuation factor storage section holds pieces of data each of which indicates the relationship between the distance between the antennas and an attenuation factor in the form of a table. An attenuation circuit section employs the attenuation factor so as to attenuate the received signal from the noise signal scanning antenna. A subtraction circuit section subtracts an output signal of the attenuation circuit section from the signal from the wireless signal reception antenna, and reduces or eliminates a noise from the received signal from the wireless signal reception antenna.

  • Patent number: 7155191
Abstract: A method and an arrangment for reducing phase jumps in a frame synchronization signal when switching between synchronization signal when switching between synchronization reference sources are disclosed. A new reference signal to which each of the two reference sources (signals) are phase locked, and has frequency n times the respective reference signal, is generated. A selection signal selects the new reference signal to be used, and the selected one is then divided back to its original frequency creating an input signal to a phase-locked loop generating the resulting frame synchronization signal. In this way, the maximum phase jumps are reduced from one period of the original reference signals to one period of the new reference signal. The invention is particularly applicable for reducing phase jumps on a master frame synchronization signal in a PDH system.

  • Patent number: 7142893
Abstract: A method for facilitating identification of a telephone, whereby a determination is made whether a custom ring tune has been set for the mobile telephone. If it is determined that a custom ring tune has been set for the mobile telephone, then the custom ring tune is generated. If it is determined that a custom ring tune has not been set for the mobile telephone, then a unique identifier of the mobile telephone is determined, a ring tune corresponding to the unique identifier is determined, and the ring tune corresponding to the unique identifier is generated. Thus, a mobile telephone may generate a distinct ring tune without requiring a user to program such a distinct ring tune.
