Abstract: A point of sale system includes a merchant terminal and a customer terminal. The merchant terminal is configured to display a user interface (UI) window on the merchant terminal. The UI window on the merchant terminal displays a merchant-specific version of a screen displayed on the customer terminal. The merchant terminal receives updates from the customer terminal regarding the status of the payment portion for a transaction. The merchant terminal can provide an input to the UI window which is sent as a message to the customer terminal. Control of state for the point of sale system is shared such that when the system is in a first state, the merchant terminal is the state control terminal, and when the point of sale system is in a second state, the customer terminal is the state control terminal and has control of state for the system.

Abstract: It is desirable for a merchant to not store customer PCI (Payment Card Industry) data in the merchant's system, because this would reduce cost and risk to the merchant. But the merchant still wants access to the customer primary account number (PAN) and other PCI data elements for customer authentication, customer relationship management, etc. Therefore, this specification discloses systems and methods that allow a pPOS (personal Point of Sale) device to create a mirror of the original transaction and provide that to the merchant. Then the merchant would still have access to the customer PAN and other PCI data elements, but there are no PCI or payment data in the mirror transaction, so cost and risk are reduced for the merchant.

Abstract: A transaction terminal dynamically and regularly changes a unique transaction terminal identifier (ID). The transaction terminal ID is reported to a remote manager. During a transaction, a mobile device automatically reads a current transaction terminal ID from the transaction terminal, appends a mobile device ID for the mobile device, and sends the transaction terminal ID with the mobile device ID to the remote manager. The remote manager links the mobile ID to details associated with a user of the mobile device and sends the details to the transaction terminal. The transaction terminal uses the details to customize a transaction being conducted by the user at the transaction terminal.

Abstract: In a stock rebalancing method, separate inventory holding clients are registered, each as individual publishers of inventory level data, and further, separate transporter clients also are registered each as individual publishers of transport capacity. Then, an indication is received from one of the inventory holding clients, of an overstock condition of a specified item. Contemporaneously, an indication is received from another of the inventory holding clients of an understock condition of the specified item. In response, one of the transporter clients is identified as indicating excess capacity sufficient to bear transport of the specified item in a quantity indicated by the understock condition, the clients are messaged indicating the conditions, and the identified transport client is directed to transport the specified item in the indicated quantity from the one of the inventory clients indicating the overstock condition to the one of the inventory holding clients indicating an understock condition.

Abstract: Implementations of the present application provide data interaction and offline credit payment methods and devices. In one implementation, a credit payment code generated by a server is obtained by scanning and parsing a two-dimensional code presented on a mobile computing device for making a payment. The credit payment code is then decrypted based on asymmetric key decryption to obtain a credit payment token. The credit payment token is parsed to obtain security content included in the credit payment token. The payment associated with the credit payment code is then determined to satisfy the security content and the payment is verified with the server that generates the credit payment code at a predetermined time.

Abstract: Methods and systems of applying retroactive adjustments to financial data. An example method includes: receiving one or more adjustment records associated with a financial account; saving a snapshot of the financial account, the snapshot comprising a plurality of transaction records reflecting previously processed transactions associated with the financial account; merging the adjustment records and the transaction records to produce a plurality of adjusted transaction records; processing adjusted transaction records to produce an updated state of the financial account; comparing the saved snapshot to the updated state of the financial account to produce one or more adjustment events; and processing the adjustment events using one or more event processing rules.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for cloud-based management of payment devices includes connecting a point of interaction device (POI) to a terminal management engine (TME) through a computer network, downloading operating software for the POI and configuration files for the POI from the TME to the POI, initializing the POI using the operating software, and configuring the POI using the configuration files. An alternative computer-implemented includes connecting to a POI through a computer network, receiving a transaction request from a TMC through the computer network, confirming access to the POI, transmitting a request for consumer information to the POI, receiving requested consumer information from the POI, transmitting the requested consumer information to the TMC, receiving a transaction approval message or a transaction decline message from the TMC, and transmitting the transaction approval message or the transaction decline message to the POI.

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for determining whether a transaction may be finalized with a user that exits a facility. To do so, the inventory management system may first determine whether the inventory management is to resolve any events prior to finalizing the transaction. In some instances, the inventory management system may refrain from finalizing a transaction with a user that exits the facility if the user is associated with a low-confidence result/event, if the user remains a candidate user for an unresolved event, or if a global-blocking event is in place at the time of the user's exit. In some instances, meanwhile, the transaction with a user may be finalized upon the user's exit of the facility if the user is associated with high-confidence events/results, is not associated with any low-confidence events/results, is not a candidate user for an unresolved event, and if no global-blocking event is in place at the time of exit.

Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating delivery of goods from a retail location to a customer are disclosed. In one method, a request is received from a customer user which includes an order for goods to be delivered from a retail store. One or more delivery users within a predefined geographic area shared with a location of the customer user are identified. A delivery user agrees to pick up the customer's order and deliver the requested goods to the customer's home. Confirmation messages are automatically sent and received when the delivery user picks up the customer's order and again when the order is delivered to the customer. The delivery user can earn rewards or payments upon completion of successful delivery.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a computerized method item correlation including: receiving an indication of an order comprising at least one item; determining if the order is urgent based on an amount of time remaining until the items must ship to a customer; determining a location of each of a plurality of pickers; iteratively, for items in the order: identifying a picker closest to the item, the picker having a current job priority; correlating the closest picker and the item in a data structure; re-correlating, in the data structure, at least one item previously correlated with the closest picker to an alternate picker in response to the current job priority not being urgent; sending, to a user device of the closest picker, a location and item identifier associated with the item; and storing, in the data structure, a completion flag in correlation with the item upon receipt of an item-complete message.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods directed to authentication. Authentication data may be determined by previous authentications of a plurality of products. Sensor data, related to a first product, may be received. A current authentication of the first product may be executed based on the sensor data and at an authentication device. The execution may include identifying the first product based on the sensor data. The execution may further include identifying whether the current authentication is substantially similar the previous authentications based on whether the first product is substantially similar to the plurality of products. The execution may further include that when the current authentication is identified as not being substantially similar to the one or more of the previous authentications, authenticating the first product according to remote data and the sensor data. Otherwise, the first product may be authenticated according to the authentication data.

Abstract: In various embodiments, an application and platform comprising systems and methods for staging equipment rentals is given. In association with an equipment rental facility, a mobile application can be utilized to identify the nature, quantity and maintenance condition of selected equipment assets that can be rented. The mobile application can identify the staging status of a specific equipment asset, facilitating efficient selection of desired equipment assets in advance of arrival of a customer. Staging status, and additional parameters, can be displayed and acted upon based on visual elements in association with the mobile application such as color, icons, or other visual elements, and first and second visual elements can be used to provide significance.

Abstract: In some cases, a handheld device that includes a microphone and a scanner may be used for voice-assisted scanning. For example, a user may provide a voice input via the microphone and may activate the scanner to scan an item identifier (e.g., a barcode). The handheld device may communicate voice data and item identifier information to a remote system for voice-assisted scanning. The remote system may perform automatic speech recognition (ASR) operations on the voice data and may perform item identification operations based on the scanned identifier. Natural language understanding (NLU) processing may be improved by combining ASR information with item information obtained based on the scanned identifier. An action may be executed based on the likely user intent.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving one or more selected options for one or more of multiple contract conditions generated based on transaction information associated with a request to create a blockchain-related invoice and generating instructions for a blockchain-enforced contract based on the transaction information and the one or more selected options. The instructions for the blockchain-enforced contract correspond to a first nested contract including a first contract condition required for a transfer of a value and a second nested contract including a second contract condition required for at least a partial reversal of the transfer of the value. The method also includes, in response to receiving an input regarding the second contract condition, cause the instructions for the blockchain-enforced contract to be executed on a blockchain network.

A handheld device of a waiter is used to automatically associate a check with a table at a restaurant and to recall and modify that check. In an embodiment, two waiters use one or more handheld devices to automatically transfer a customer's check to one another.
