Abstract: Print jobs may include errors, which may be difficult to resolve. In the embodiments described herein, data objects in print jobs are converted into printable features that show the underlying information in the print job, which allows for a visual inspection of the logical structures and relationships between the logical structures and print data objects in a printed output. One embodiment comprises a print controller that stores a first print job comprising one or more data objects, and print job commands that define the data objects for the first print job. The print controller processes the print job commands to identify the data objects for the first print job, and outlines and presentation positions specified for the data objects, and generates a second print job that graphically represents the outlines and the presentation positions of the data objects as graphical shapes, and provides the second print job.

Abstract: One embodiment comprises a print controller that stores a first print job comprising print data objects and print job commands, processes the print job commands to identify the print data objects for the first print job, selects a subset of the print data objects for processing, and encrypts the subset of the print data objects using a key while the print data objects not selected for processing and the print job commands remain unencrypted, identifies outlines and presentation positions specified for the subset of the print data objects, and generates one or more auxiliary print data objects that graphically represent the outlines and the presentation positions of the subset of the print data objects. The print controller generates a second print job comprising the encrypted print data objects, the auxiliary print data objects, the unencrypted print data objects, and unencrypted print job commands, and provides the second print job.

The printing system includes at least one physical memory device to store calibration logic and one or more processors coupled with the at least one physical memory device to execute the calibration logic to generate a uniformity compensated transfer function for each of a plurality of pel forming elements, generate a missing neighbor corrected transfer function for each of the pel forming elements, generate a missing neighbor transfer function based on the uniformity compensated transfer functions and the missing neighbor corrected transfer function and compute an average of the missing neighbor transfer functions to generate an average missing neighbor transfer function.

Abstract: An image forming device includes a communicator that receives a series of image data, a timer that measures a reception time of each of the series of image data, and a storage that temporarily stores the image data received before forming an image based on the series of image data. When the communicator receives image data, and subsequently does not receive the next image data within a predetermined reception time, the controller obtains the time difference between the time of the reception end of the series of image data, and the reception time of the image data last received by the communicator, determines that the last received image data may be incomplete image data when the time difference is greater than or equal to a predetermined time, and determines whether to form an image based on the image data stored in the storage according to the determination.

Abstract: An image forming device including an image former, a primary controller, a secondary controller, one or more sensors, an interface, and a writer. The image former executes image forming processing to form an image on a sheet. The primary controller instructs the secondary controller to control the image former to execute the image forming processing. Each sensor detects a state of the image former and outputs sensor data to the secondary controller. The interface can be connected to a storage medium. The secondary controller generates diagnostic data based on the sensor data. The writer writes the diagnostic data to the storage medium via the interface. The diagnostic data is used by a diagnostic server to perform failure diagnostics and life prediction pertaining to the image forming device, after transfer to the diagnostic server via a transfer device when the storage medium is mounted to the transfer device.
