    Abstract: An electronic amusement device and a method for operating the device are disclosed. In accordance with the present invention, a slot machine server controls a secondary game of chance played at a client slot machine. The server receives a player identifier corresponding to a player and a client identifier corresponding to a client slot machine. The server retrieves registration data relating to a secondary game of chance corresponding to the player identifier and the client identifier. The server further receives an outcome from the client slot machine and analyzes the outcome based on game requirements associated with the secondary game of chance, thereby determining whether the outcome satisfies at least one of the game requirements. Once all of the game requirements have been satisfied, the server updates a session status indicating the completion of the game requirements.

The selection is terminated when the virtual Bingo card or player Bingo card obtains a predetermined Bingo. Also the player can select a row, column or diagonal and use the selected cards to form a Poker hand. If the player obtains a predetermined Poker holding, the played receives and award.

    Abstract: In molding coils wound around a motor rotor with resin material in a die assembly, the coil ends projecting from either axial end of the motor core are compressed radially inward by small diameter portions formed in the die surface. Because the unnecessary deposition of the resin material over the coil ends is minimized, the material cost can be reduced. Also, the elimination or the reduction of the need to eliminate excess resin material from the coil ends simplifies the production process, and reduces the production cost. Additionally, the reduction in the mass of the resin material over the coil ends, as well as the constraining of the coil wire into a relatively radially inner parts reduces the moment of inertia of the motor rotor, and can thereby improve the performance of the motor.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a novel form of entertainment in which participants compete in a “tug of war” against opponents who are remotely located, stored in electronic form in memory, or are virtual opponents graphically generated in real-time by a computer. One embodiment implements “tug of war” in a manner compatible with international standards for Tug competitions. The invention consists of a rope attached to a motor to supply a counterforce to the pulling team. A tensiometer is attached to the rope to determine the force being applied to the rope by the pulling team. In one embodiment, there is a corresponding assembly being used by an opposing team and in data communication with the first assembly. The motor applies a counterforce to the rope being pulled by one team based on the force being applied by the other team to their own rope. In this manner, the system works as if the teams were each pulling on the same rope.

    Abstract: A method for providing C4-type bumps which are higher than conventional C4 bumps. A dielectric substrate is copper cladded on both sides. At each prospective bump location, a via is laser ablated through the cladded substrate. A copper core is deposited within the vias to thereby connect the two claddings. A photoresist is applied to both claddings, a photomask having a predetermined exposure pattern is placed over the claddings, the photoresist is exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light to thereby polymerize in the exposed areas thereof, and the resulting photoresist image is developed by use of a developer solution to wash away of the unpolymerized areas of the photoresist. Now, the photoresist image provides a retainer wall spaced from, and circumferentially around, the vias. Next, a lead-tin solder alloy is electroplated, such as by a lead-tin fluoroborate bath, at the vias into the volumes defined by the retainer wall at each end of the vias.
