  • Patent number: 10336158
Abstract: Methods and system for providing heat to a vehicle are presented. In one example, a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) heater provides heat to a passenger cabin and an engine via heating engine coolant. Additionally, a heat pump may supply heat to the passenger cabin via heating the engine coolant.

  • Patent number: 10335885
Abstract: A method and apparatus for teaching a programmed controlled robot at least one of two set up position coordinates by use of a tool having a first surface aligned with the end of a stud welding gun collet when the tool is mounted in the collet, a second surface on the tool spaced from the first surface by a predetermined set up distance. A probe carried by the stud welding engagable with the second surface on the tool to establish a predetermined set up distance. A third surface on the tool spaced from the first surface and engagable with a work piece to establish a minimum stud-welding gun set up dimension. The coordinates of the stud-welding gun when the third surface is engaged with the work piece are transmitted to a robot control program to establish the predetermined stud weld gun travel distance dimension.

  • Patent number: 10288316
Abstract: A dip tube for use with a water heater having a pipe nipple, the dip tube including an upper end and a tubular body, where the upper end is located above the tubular body. The upper end has an outer wall, a top portion and bottom portion, and further includes a flange located at the top portion. The flange extends outwardly from the outer wall to retain the dip tube at the pipe nipple. The upper end also includes a reinforced connecting portion located at the bottom portion for connecting the upper end to the tubular body, where a portion of the tubular body is located within the reinforced connecting portion.

  • Patent number: 10278531
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for manufacturing food products. In a general embodiment, a system for manufacturing a food product is provided and includes at least one heat exchanger, at least one food product tank, at least one steam source having a steam valve, a computer having a computer processor, and a computer-readable medium accessible to the computer and containing a software program therein that is programmed to cause the computer processor to automatically control the steam valve to move from a first position to a second, calculated position to maintain a temperature of a heating medium that is sufficient to maintain sterility of the food product during a recirculating water-to-food product transition in the heat exchanger. Methods for manufacturing food products are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10272515
Abstract: A method of resistance spot welding steel workpieces—at least one of which includes a high-strength steel substrate having a tensile strength of 1000 MPa or greater—involves passing a pulsating DC electrical current between a pair of aligned welding electrodes that are pressed against opposite sides of a workpiece stack-up that includes the steel workpieces. The pulsating DC electrical current delivers sufficient power through the weld site by way of electrical current pulses to initiate and grow a molten steel weld pool at each faying interface within the workpiece stack-up that solidifies into a weld nugget of uniform hardness. In other words, each of the weld nuggets formed by the pulsating DC electrical current does not include soft, coarse, and alloy deficient shell regions that tend to reduce the strength of the weld nugget.

  • Patent number: 10264910
Abstract: A disposable strainer (1) for tea infusion comprises a base (10) and a deformable infusion container (11) with a moisture-permeable body (110) attached to the base (10). The base (10) is foldable, the disposable strainer (1) includes a squeezing mechanism (12) connected to the body (110) of the infusion container (11) and adapted to squeeze the infusion container (11) once the base (10) is folded, and the squeezing mechanism (12) consists in a first thread (121) adapted for drawing out of the disposable strainer (1).
