Abstract: The present disclosure relates to hair styling apparatuses and related methods. The hair styling apparatus includes a heated barrel defining a hair styling surface and a central axis, and a rotating member disposed at an end of the hair styling surface. The rotating member is configured to rotate around the central axis of the heated barrel. The rotating member includes one or more retaining elements configured to retain the hair and wind the hair around the hair styling surface. The one or more retaining elements projects away from the hair styling surface.

Abstract: A mascara application device, comprising a container for mascara a manually operable actuator, feed mechanism carried by the container to feed mascara to a loading station, in response to operation of the actuator, a belt having applicator brushes to receive mascara at the loading station as the actuator is operated, guide means to guide actuator induced belt displacement relative to the container to position the brushes for mascara application to eye lashes.

Abstract: The invention involves an improved hairpin formed of a wire having two terminal ends and a series of bends that define differently situated prongs for securing a hairstyle of a wearer. In exemplary embodiments, a first prong may be defined by a first leg and a second leg that extend from a first u-shaped bend. A second prong may be defined by the first leg and a third leg that extends from a second u-shaped bend situated opposite to the first u-shaped bend. Moreover, a third prong may be defined by the second leg and a fourth leg extending from a third u-shaped bend situated opposite to the first u-shaped bend, wherein the first u-shaped bend, the second u-shaped bend and the third u-shaped bend are situated on a single plane and the first leg, the second leg, the third leg and the fourth leg are substantially parallel.

Abstract: A hair curling system embodying a novel device and method for overnight use is provided. The hair curling system includes a sectioning tool and a separate curling strip. The sectioning tool may include an elastic cord forming a loop shape, wherein a stopper member is disposed there along. The curling strip may include an elongated strip of material that terminates in a collar. The collar may define a collar opening adapted to receive the stopper member. The user may use the sectioning tool to secure a predetermined section of hair whereby the stopper member may subsequently receive the collar and thus hang the attached elongated strip near the scalp of the user. The user may then twirl the predetermined section of hair using the entire curling strip. The sectioning tool is then removed, facilitating a comfortable sleep with at least one curling strip in place.

The hair press may have a first press member, a second hair press member, a first hinge assembly, and a cavity. The first press member may include a first press surface, a first elongated locking side, and a first elongated hinge side. The second press member may include a second press surface, a second elongated locking side, and a second elongated hinge side. The first hinge assembly may be configured to pivotally couple the first elongated hinge side of the first press member to the second elongated hinge side of the second press member. The cavity may be formed between the first press surface and second press surface when the press surfaces are moved proximate to each other.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a compact type of airtight cosmetic container. A shoulder cap (40) to which a mesh is coupled and a puff storage cap (50) which stores a puff are successively placed onto and coupled to a medial body (30) which contains a cosmetic therein. The shoulder cap and the puff storage cap can be airtightly coupled to the medial body by a sealing member (51) provided under the puff storage cap and a sealing ring (43) provided in the lower surface of the shoulder cap. A pressurizing means pressurizes the puff storage cap onto the medial body such that the sealing member and the sealing ring are compressed, whereby the sealability of the cosmetic container can be enhanced so that leakage of powder or a cosmetic change attributable to water evaporation can be reliably prevented.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a hair accessory includes a base and a curved hollow tube coupled to the base. The base is configured to be positioned against a head of a person. The curved hollow tube is configured to provide structural support to a portion of hair of the person gathered around the curved hollow tube. The curved hollow tube has a first end that is coupled directly to the base and a second end distally located from the base. The curved hollow tube includes a plurality of ridges positioned along a length of the curved hollow tube. Each of the plurality of ridges extends along a perimeter of the curved hollow tube.

Abstract: Hair devices and methods which elongate curly hair by use of gravitational force, as the mass of the device weighs more than the hair section in order to transform curly hair into a wavy or straight coiffure. The device can be used as either a styling tool or an ornamental hair accessory that remains in the hair. The invented device is particularly advantageous for tightly coiled hair patterns of hair. The device can include a first and second curved metal form, each having a plurality of ventilation cut-outs and tab ends which allow each of the forms to attach to one another in an oval configuration, which can be wrapped about a hair bundle, or in which a hair bundle can be inserted therein. Concave curved recesses in the plates can allow for another pair of curved plates that forms a second oval shape to be attached to each other by pin type members.

First and second spaces for tensioning first and second segments of dental floss are formed between tail ends of the first and third arm portions, and the third and fourth arm portions, respectively. A third space for tensioning a third segment of dental floss is formed between tail ends of the fourth and second arm portions. The first and third segments of floss are parallel to the lengthwise direction of the holding portion, with the second segment of floss perpendicular thereto.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for molding a shape of bristles of a mascara brush for eyelashes, a mold in used in the method. Two strands of iron cores are twisted and brush bristles respectively having dorsal portions are radially spread between the twisted iron cores through post-process so as to form a mascara brush, wherein the dorsal portions are formed by the brush bristles of the same length on the basis of the iron cores without difference in the length of the brush bristles, so that a mascara solution contained in the dorsal portion does not run down when being applied to eyelashes, and the mascara provides more volume and a beautiful eyelash make-up when a sufficient amount of the mascara solution is applied.

The heating zones are independently operable arranged along the length of the heater. The sequential arrangement of the independently operable heating zones helps to improve the thermal control of the hair styling appliance. The hair styling appliance may be a hair straightener, curling tong, curling wand or a crimping iron.

Abstract: A hair barrette for securing hair is disclosed. The hair barrette includes a first, second, and third segment. The first and second segments each have a first side having teeth and a catch, and an opposing second side having an ornamental design. The third segment is positioned between the first and second segments and may have a first end, a second end, a first opening adjacent to the first end, and a second opening adjacent to the second end. The catch of the first segment is insertable into the second opening of the third segment and the catch of the second, segment is insertable into the first opening of the third segment. Further the ornamental designs are visible when said the catches are inserted into the openings.

Abstract: There is provided a headband for managing hair of a user comprising an elongate body member defining a full length and configured to be conformable around the head of a user, wherein the body member includes a first layer potion, a second layer portion connected to the first layer portion and an elongate metallic core member arranged between the first and second layer portions, and wherein, in use, when the headband resembling an arch is worn by the user the first layer portion is positioned to be outwardly facing and the second layer is positioned to be inwardly facing, and wherein the body member is user-adjustable in curvature such that the full length of the arch is conformable to specific contour of the head and entire inwardly facing surface of the second layer portion of the member is engageable around the head.
