Abstract: A pipeline debris shearing device includes a forwardly positioned, self sharpening, wear compensating, diameter conforming elastomeric member that forms a peeling edge having a negative rake angle to peel away debris from the internal wall of a pipeline. The peeling edge is formed at the point of meeting between a concave-shaped, curved forward face surface and a substantially straight outer peripheral surface. Radial slots may be provided to lessen the force being exerted on the peeling edge and provide for bypass flow to carry away debris removed by the peeling edge. Spaced-apart narrow stripper teeth may be added to help in removing harder deposits of debris. The peeling edge may be arranged substantially perpendicular the central longitudinal axis of the pipeline pig or arranged oblique to it. Further, the peeling edge may spiral about at least a portion of the pipeline pig.

Abstract: A hair clip for styling hair comprising a pair of clipping elements with two to three clipping fingers having toothed ridges and/or an overlay of rubbery material, with or without holes in the center of the clipping fingers, to facilitate gripping and holding hair strands and segments of hair on the head while blow drying wet or semi-wet hair to create volume and height to the resulting hair style without the use of mousse or gels. The hair clip is configured with an elastic connecting arrangement comprised of the thumb and forefinger grips of the clipping elements held together by a torsion spring or other compatible spring at the base of the hair clip.

Further, the comb can be deformed flexibly. The comb has a concave-convex surface formed in a back face part of a comb main body, and the holes are formed in concave parts of the concave-convex surface. Curving surfaces are formed in side face parts on both sides of the comb main body, and through-holes communicating with the holes are formed in concave parts of the curving surface. When the user applies his/her fingers onto the back face part, the concave-convex surface and the holes function as a slippage preventing part. When applying the fingers onto the side face parts, the curving surface and the through-holes function as the slippage preventing part.

Abstract: Disclosed is a hair comb capable of reducing the resistance and improving the smoothness of combing hair, and the hair comb includes a slab-shaped main body, a plurality of parallel slash-shaped teeth implant areas disposed on a surface of the main body, a plurality of serial comb teeth sequentially implanted in the teeth implant areas and disposed opposite to the slash-shaped teeth implant areas respectively, a vacant area without any implanted tooth and disposed on a surface of the main body and the width of the vacant area falling between the serial comb teeth is greater than the distance between two adjacent comb teeth to achieve the effects of reducing the resistance of combining hair by the hair comb and the occurrence of tangled hair and providing a smooth combing operation.

Abstract: Hairbrushes having removable handles, kits, methods of use, and methods of sale are provided. The hairbrushes attach to the handles with a rod-and-socket quick-release system that provides a single-button quick-release coupler between a hair brush and a hair brush handle. The system facilitates easier hair curling using the brushes to curl up the hair and then releasing the handle to allow the brush to remain in the hair. The kits comprise brush-heads, at least one handle, and a container. The method involves creating a hairstyle for a customer using the brushes and then providing the customer a custom kit of the same types of brushes for use at home.

Abstract: A new hair extension apparatus and method are employed to adhesively secure a hair weft at areas of exposed skin behind a wearer's ears to avoid damage to the wearer's natural hair. Two separate pieces of a flexible sheer material are each connected to a seam of the weft adjacent a respective one of two opposing ends thereof, thereby providing surfaces that face away from the seam and the strands adjacent the opposite ends of the seam for attachment of the hair weft behind the user's ears.

Abstract: A first method of systematizing hairstyling tools includes defining hairstyling steps, defining indicia for the steps, determining hairstyling tools to perform the steps, and displaying the indicia on the corresponding tools. A second method of systematizing hairstyling tools includes additionally defining hairstyles, selecting the hairstyling steps to implement the hairstyle, and packaging the corresponding hairstyling tools together as a set. Also within the scope of the invention are hairstyling tools, sets of hairstyling tools, and systems of hairstyling tools according to the first and second methods.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an application tool (1) and methods to use the same. The application tool (1) comprises two plates (22), connected together. At least one of said two plates (22) comprises a fluid control zone (50), which run along the perimeter edge (30) of said at least one plate (22), a displacement zone (60), which at least partially separate said fluid control zone (50) from a containment zone (70). A hair treatment composition may be loaded onto the containment zone (70). Application of hair treatment compositions through the application tool (1) according to the invention allows for a precise, non-messy and clean targeting of the hair treatment composition on a hair strand and it is especially useful for highlighting and dyeing compositions.

Abstract: An orthodontic flosser comprising an elongated handle and a head coupled to the handle at a vertical angle is disclosed. A first and second projection extend from the head for suspending floss, the first projection is sized for insertion of floss between a wire affixed to a tooth and the tooth. A source spool of fresh floss is configured to feed fresh floss incrementally into suspension between the first and second projections while a take-up bobbin is configured for taking up used floss and applying tension to the suspended floss. A button may be used for releasing the source spool to rotate, and for holding the source spool against rotation. The source spool and take-up bobbin may be disposed in separated chambers to reduce cross contamination.
