Abstract: The playard includes a frame body and a bassinet detachably mounted on the frame body. An opening and a cover that covers onto the opening are configured at the bottom panel of the bassinet. When the cover opens relative to the opening, a folding device at the bottom of the frame body can be operated by a user's hand sticking into the opening for folding the playard to a smaller size without the need of removing the bassinet. A height adjustment device is further configured on the side panels of the bassinet for adjusting the height of the bassinet by selectively setting the bassinet in a first using state that has a shallow depth or in a second using state that has a deep depth.

Abstract: A headrest assembly for supporting a head of a user of a massage device includes a frame assembly and a resilient assembly. The frame assembly is selectively coupled to the massage device, and the resilient assembly is coupled to the frame assembly. The resilient assembly includes an upper resilient member and a headrest platform that supports the upper resilient member. The headrest platform includes a first side section, a second side section, a middle section that is positioned substantially between and is coupled to the first side section and the second side section, and a hinge assembly that connects the side sections to the frame assembly. The hinge assembly allows the middle section to flex substantially downward and the side sections to pivot relative to the hinge assembly when the headrest platform is supporting the head of the user.

Abstract: A baby changing duffel includes a changing pad formed of resilient material, sized and shaped to serve as a changing surface for either an infant or a toddler. The pad is covered with a removable, washable cover. The cover is sized and shaped to fit over the changing pad and has an inner changing surface and an outer surface. An upper pouch is attached adjacent to an upper end of the outer surface. A retaining sleeve is attached to a lower end of the cover and encloses a folded portion of the pad and cover. The side pockets have interior compartments and are attached at the edges of the outer surface of the cover. The side pockets are folded over the inner changing surface for transport. A carrying handle extends between side edges of the cover and is located to support the duffel when folded to fit the retaining sleeve.

Abstract: Playard has a frame body that includes a top frame, a plurality of standing posts, and a bottom frame pivoting to one another so that the playard is foldable. A top corner of the standing post, top rails adjacent to the top corner, and the corresponding post body of the standing post form an arc-shaped surface structure. The top corner is mounted above the post body of the standing post by coupling a plug of the top corner to a socket of the post body. The standing post has two first engagements at two sides of its arc shape post body or on the wall of the socket. The enclosure has a second engagement at one end that can engage with the first engagement by sliding up and down relative to the standing post so that the enclosure is easily attached to or detached from the standing post.

Abstract: A multi-functional hammock assembly for providing user comfort and enjoyment may include first and second elongated rectilinear poles, a hammock, and first and second sleeves slidably positioned about the bottom ends of the first and second poles. The hammock assembly may further include at least one accessory and a mechanism for effectively anchoring the at least one accessory to the first and second poles. The assembly may further include a mechanism for synchronously rotating at least one of the first and second sleeves and the first and second poles about a centrally registered longitudinal axis passing through the one pole to thereby conveniently assist a user to penetrate the one sleeve into a ground surface.

Abstract: An adjustable bed comprises a patient support structure supporting a patient support surface that comprises separately adjustable torso and hip support structures. Lifting mechanisms are provided to elevate the torso and hip support structures to substantially reduce pressure on the sacral area of a patient resting on the patient support surface.

Abstract: A bed has a retractable barrier combining vertical movement and transverse movement. The barrier comprises two parallel arms forming portions of a deformable parallelogram system, and each arm is attached the frame by a two-element telescopic mechanism comprising an inner element and an outer element that are constrained relative to each other by a shape connection suitable for varying the transverse position of the barrier element while it is being moved vertically.

Abstract: A positive lock for an ambulance cot and method thereof which requires lifting an upper frame of the ambulance cot, in order to permit a spring actuator to clear an interference fit of the positive lock, are provided. If the upper frame is not lifted, then the spring force used to pull on the positive lock is insufficient to overcome the interference fit. Clearing the interference fit permits the cot to be height adjusted. Optionally, a light indicator may be provided which illuminates if the cot has not been positively locked in a height adjusted position.

Abstract: An automated rocking bassinet apparatus includes a support that includes a first upper panel and a second upper panel. A plurality of legs is attached to and extends downwardly from each of the first and second upper panels. A housing includes a bottom wall and a peripheral wall that is attached to and extends upwardly from the bottom wall. A pair of receivers is attached to the housing. A pair of mountings is provided. Each of the first and second upper panels has one of the mountings attached thereto and each of the receivers receives one of the mountings to pivotally couple the housing to the support. A driver assembly is mounted in the first upper panel and selectively rocks the housing with respect to the support.

Abstract: A bedframe for medical beds has a height-adjustable frame member and an obstruction detector on the height-adjustable frame member. The obstruction detector has a contact member which is displaceable, for obstruction detection, both upwardly and downwardly relative to the frame member. A sensor detects such displacement to stop movement of the frame member. The frame member may be a height adjustable lower frame member of a bedframe having also a height adjustable upper frame member. The bedframe also has a manually removable panel of its headboard and footboard, to allow access to a patient between columns carrying the height-adjustable upper frame member.

Abstract: A bedding assembly includes a fitted sheet forming opposing side panels when engaging a mattress and including at least one fastener positioned longitudinally along at least one of the fitted sheet opposing side panels. Abstract: A nursing pillow with integrated privacy panels that provide privacy to mothers while breast feeding infants. The pillow is U-shaped having a soft filler material and a pillow case. A neck strap helps keep the pillow close to the mother. The infant is supported on the pillow and kept in close proximity to the mother's body. The pillow folds in on itself for ease of transport and storage.

Abstract: This disclosure described a patient support having an air permeable layer, a plurality of inflatable bladders, a pressure-sensing assembly and a controller. In one embodiment, a combination of transverse bladders and vertically oriented can-shaped bladders is provided. In one embodiment, one or more angle sensors are provided in articulatable sections of the patient support.

Abstract: A patient-support apparatus includes a patient-support deck coupled to first and second lift systems configured to lift the patient-support deck relative to the floor. Abstract: A collapsible furniture construction includes a holder with two substantially rectangular mutually spaced parallel side flanges with two lower corners at the front and back, upper corners at the front and back and a substantially rectangular pivotable frame with a rear end portion inserted between the flanges and rotatable thereon between a substantially vertical stowed position and a substantially horizontal extended or forwardly open position, including at least one cross-member substantially perpendicular to the flanges and attached thereto for engaging a wall or the floor. The cross-member includes wall or floor attachment elements; a transverse pivot shaft substantially perpendicular to the flanges and mounted on the frame with the shaft ends pivotably connected to the flanges in an area adjacent to the upper front corners thereof; and a twist-preventing reinforcing crossbar substantially perpendicular to the flanges, rigidly connected thereto and positioned in the area below the pivot shaft.

Abstract: A linen cover extension device and method of use are disclosed. In one form, a device for extending a portion of a fabric material of a linen cover at a corner edge of the linen cover is provided. The device includes an elongated substrate of flexible material having a length, a first end and a second end. The device further includes a coupling mechanism operable to secure the elongated substrate to the corner edge of the linen cover and extend a portion of the linen cover a distance from a perimeter of the linen cover.

Abstract: A sleeping infant positioning device that will hold an infant in the recommended back-lying position while in a crib or other flat surface. The device includes a pad that has an attached fabric and strap safety restraint, into which the infant is placed. The restraint is designed to fit over roughly the area where a pair of diapers would fit over the infant, with the restraint also including a pair of leg holes to allow insertion of the legs of the infant. A pouch is located on the pad behind where the infant's head is placed, allowing placement of a pillow if desired. An adjustable blanket can also be clipped to the pad, allowing the blanket to be placed over the infant if necessary.
