    Abstract: Techniques for integrating disparate headend traffic ingress services with disparate backend services are disclosed herein. The techniques may include receiving, at a classification and forwarding node of a networked computing environment, a data packet encapsulated according to a first encapsulation protocol that is supported by the classification and forwarding node. The techniques may also include determining, by the classification and forwarding node, that the data packet is to be sent to a service from among a group of services associated with the networked computing environment. The classification and forwarding node may also determine whether the first encapsulation protocol is supported by the service. Based at least in part on determining that the service supports a second encapsulation protocol different than the first encapsulation protocol, the classification and forwarding node may encapsulate the data packet according to the second encapsulation protocol and send the data packet to the service.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Wireless communications systems may support beamformed transmissions between devices (e.g., to improve coverage range). The beamformed transmissions may depend on discovery and maintenance of receive and transmit beams over which a given device may communicate with another device. Various receive and transmit beams for a given device may be compared using reference signals. As the number of devices attempting to access a cell increases, the number of reference signals to be transmitted may scale proportionally. Large numbers of reference signals may flood time-frequency resources of the system and/or require excessive processing at a mobile device. Scrambling sequences for reference signals may be employed to improve efficiency of resource usage. In aspects, the scrambling sequences may be implicitly determined (e.g., based on resources over which the access request was transmitted).

During operation, the system can determine whether to synchronize a registration packet associated with the multicast group with the second switch based on a type of a first ingress connection associated with the registration packet. The system can then determine whether to receive subsequent registration packets for the multicast group based on the type of the first ingress connection and reception of a join request for the multicast group. The type of a respective connection indicates whether the connection includes an overlay tunnel.

The UCI may be configured in the physical uplink channel transmission in a variety of ways. Various amounts of frequency resource (e.g., subcarriers) may be allocated to UCI. The subcarriers may be non-contiguous. In slot aggregation, the UCI subcarriers may frequency hop from slot to slot. The UCI may be encoded differently in different slots, to facilitate early decoding by a receiver (which may, for example immediately prepare a re-transmission in the case of a NACK).

A traffic assignment can have various parameters such as bandwidth, transmission costs etc. Each execution plan has one or more steps, and each step has one or more traffic assignment changes progressing from the first set of traffic assignments to the second set of traffic assignments. The network device can automatically select an execution plan based on an evaluation metric determined for each execution plan. The evaluation metric can be a cost based metric or a quality based metric.

In some embodiments, the OD service uses information from the calculations of ODs for multiple satellites and users to update a model used in the OD calculation, for example, to provide a more accurate model for Earth's atmosphere to be applied in subsequent OD calculations. In some embodiments, the OD service uses a user-provided computer-aided drawing (CAD) file of the satellite to produce or tune models specific to the satellite, for example, to generate more accurate models for solar radiation pressure and ballistic drag.

    Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for forwarding data messages between edge nodes that perform stateful processing on flows between a logical network and an external network. The method identifies a first edge node to perform processing for the flow in a previous configuration and a second edge node to perform processing for the flow in a new configuration according to the algorithm. When the first and second edge nodes are different, the method uses a probabilistic filter and a stateful connection tracker to determine whether the flow existed prior to a particular time. When the flow did not exist prior to that time, the method selects the second edge node for the received data message.
