Abstract: A cosmetic container system comprises: a first elongate piece having a lengthwise penetration opening and defined by a circular lower periphery and a main periphery extending from the circular lower periphery, wherein the main periphery has at least two elongate openings each open to the penetration opening, wherein the elongate openings are configured to fittingly, detachably hold cosmetic cartridges each carrying a predetermined cosmetic therein; a second elongate piece rotatably engaged over the main periphery to the lower periphery and having a selection opening to selectively choose the cartridges through the selection opening by rotating the lower periphery against the second elongate piece; and a third elongate piece detachably engaged over the first elongate piece further into the lower periphery, wherein the third elongate piece is at least twice a diameter of the lower periphery in length.

Abstract: A hair-smoothing tool includes a supporting base, a carpeting structure on or over the supporting base, and optionally bristles and a cushion member. The bristles and the cushion member, if present, are formed on a first surface of the supporting base. The hair-smoothing tool further includes a carpeting structure on either the first surface of the supporting base or an opposite second surface of the supporting base, or both. The carpeting structure, for example, may be a hook structure or a loop structure of a Velcro® hook and loop fastener.

Abstract: A hair extension for a ponytail is described. The hair extension may comprise an elastic band having a looped end and a free end. A plurality of hairs may be connected to the band by weaving or sewing the plurality of hairs into a track or weft that is then attached to the band. The elastic band may have a taut and a relaxed configuration. The track or weft may be attached to the band while the band is in the taut configuration such that when the band is relaxed, the track or weft is wavy. The looped end of the band may be formed by folding a tip of the band over and securing it to a portion of the band. The loop may have an opening through which a user's natural hair may be inserted.

Abstract: A cosmetic container that converts unusable broken pressed powder into loose powder. The cosmetic container pulverizes broken pressed powder into loose powder via a “screw press” mechanism. In one specific implementation, the pulverized loose powder is held in a sealable sifter enclosure; the enclosure can be locked to prevent leakage during travel. In some variants, the portable cosmetic container may further include storage space for an applicator brush, make-up pad, or other assorted cosmetics.

Abstract: A method of compensating for a refractive error, including manipulating eyelashes to project into a line of sight of an eye at least when an eyelid from which the eyelashes extend is partially closed or when the eye is moved relative to the eyelid. The method may further include manipulating at least one of spacing, orientation, direction, contour or shape of the eyelashes to create an optical effect that improves visual acuity when the eyelashes project into the line of sight and training an individual whose eyelashes are manipulated to position the eyelid from which the eyelashes extend, the eye or both the eyelid and the eye from which the eyelashes extend to achieve relative positioning of the eye and the eyelid to obtain the optical effect that improves visual acuity when desired.

Abstract: A hair comb with improvements in the design of the individual comb tines that result in a more thorough alignment of the individual hair strands when the comb is used on the hair. A comb that uses the individual tines to align the individual hair strands in a primary and a secondary manner. A hair comb with tines that have more than one alignment function. A hair comb with appropriately spaced tines that can aid in the removal of unwanted debris in the hair.

Abstract: A curling device comprising a flap and a channel connected to each other. A curling member having an elongated shape and a curved cross-section is implemented in the channel. The curling member is capable of transitioning between an extended configuration and a curled configuration. The channel has a curved cross-section corresponding to the curling member's curved cross-section, which creates a trough, whereby hair can be positioned in the trough and held therein by wrapping the flap over the trough and around the channel. Transitioning the curling member from an extended configuration to a curled configuration holds the flap and the hair in a curved configuration, which imparts a curl to the hair when the hair is held in the curled configuration for some time.

Abstract: A cosmetic jar container configured with a collar insert to help distribute loose powder product on an applicator. An illustrative cosmetic jar includes a cap, ajar having a reservoir and a neck, and a collar secured to the neck of the jar. The collar includes a manipulation surface inside the neck for use in distributing a powder product on an applicator and/or removing excess product from the applicator.

Abstract: A jar, in particular for a cosmetic product, includes a base configured to contain said product, a lid configured to be screwed reversibly onto the base along a screwing axis, the jar further including an intermediate piece ensuring a pivotal mounting of said lid on the base along an axis transverse to the screwing axis. The lid includes at least a first interface wall the is a first lateral skirt positioned opposite a lateral ring of a second interface wall that is an intermediate piece. One of the interface walls is provided with at least one helical groove in which a counterpart formed on the other of the interface walls engages by sliding between a lower position and an upper position, enabling pivoting.

Abstract: A toothbrush holder which has a case having an inside portion adapted and sized for holding a toothbrush in the inside portion. The bottom portion of the case having at least one opening enabling liquids to drain from an inside the case. The top portion of the case having an aerosol restrictor, which allows liquid from the inside of the case to evaporate through openings in the aerosol restrictor, but which prevents aerosolized liquids from an outside of the case from reaching the inside of the case. The aerosol restrictor includes multiple inwardly facing baffles, each baffle blocking a portion of an opening on the top portion of the case, and the multiple baffles collectively blocking any direct path for aerosolized droplets between an outside of the case and the inside of the case. Each baffle includes an upwardly facing spike which forms a high point of the baffle reaching towards a top of the case and a downwardly facing indent which forms a low portion of the baffle.

Abstract: A nail care tool having an ergonomic elongated handle and a removable operational head attached to the handle is presented. The tool also has a removable scraper or end tip inserted in one of the ends of the handle, useful in cleaning critical cuticle areas. The operational head has adhered to it a lining of material commonly used in the nail care and maintenance processes; for instance, it may be a nail polish removal material or a nail buffing material. In some embodiments of the invention, the ergonomic handle and the head are interconnected in a nonpermanent manner by a male/female system; in such embodiments, the head may be engage or connected to the handle by screwing the head to the handle and, it may be disengaged or disconnected, by simply unscrewing it from the handle.

Abstract: A hair styling device includes a first and a second arm each having first and second gripping sections mounted to be articulated between the open and closed configurations; a reservoir mounted on the first arm and designed to contain a fluid to be vaporised; a vaporisation device mounted on the first arm and designed to produce steam; and a fluid conveyor element secured to the reservoir and designed to convey the fluid contained in the reservoir towards the vaporisation device. The reservoir extends at least partly in the first gripping section and is mounted such that it can move between a vaporisation position in which the vaporisation device is configured to vaporise the fluid conveyed by said fluid conveyor element, and a resting position.

The splint may include a locking mechanism including a lower section and an upper section. The lower section may be attached fixedly to the mandibular jaw. The lower section may include a horizontal locking pin moveable along a horizontal axis. The upper section may include a vertical locking key attached fixedly to the maxillary jaw. The vertical locking key may include a horizontal pin receiving hole provided along a diameter of the vertical locking key. The horizontal pin receiving hole may be configured to receive the horizontal locking pin. The maxillary jaw and the mandibular jaw may be fixed together responsive to the horizontal pin receiving hole is aligned with the horizontal axis and the horizontal locking pin is inserted into the horizontal pin receiving hole.

The makeup applicator may apply a beauty mark to skin with the stamp. The stamp may pivot with respect to the brush. The stamp may be used as a stamp for a winged eye look. Accordingly, the stamp may be bend to the left and the right to allow for the winged eye look to be created on the left and right eyes. Abstract: The present invention relates to dental suction devices for capturing aerosols and managing fluid accumulations in a patient's mouth during a dental procedure. The dental suction devices comprise a housing tube having a first end connectible to a vacuum source; a funnel demountably engageable with a second end of the housing tube; a pliable tube extending throughout the housing tube and extending outward from the funnel. The first end of the pliable tube is connectible to the vacuum source and its opposite end is positionable in a patient's mouth. The second end of the pliable tube has a plurality of apertures, and one or more pairs of retaining collars adjustably spaced-apart therealong. The pliable tube may be looped around the end of a row of teeth and secured in place by a tie that is secured to the spaced-apart pair of retaining collars between two adjacent teeth.

Abstract: A dental implant includes an insert element of a titanium-based material inserted and soldered into a blind hole in an anchoring element of a ceramic. The insert element has spacer members to center it in the blind hole, with a uniform circumferential gap space relative to the anchoring element. A portion of the insert element protrudes outwardly beyond an end face of the anchoring element. The blind hole is partly filled with a glass solder, and the insert element is inserted into the blind hole, whereby some of the glass solder is displaced out of the gap space onto the end face of the anchoring element and the protruding portion of the insert element. A thermal soldering process secures the insert element into the anchoring element. The protruding portion of the insert element and remaining excess solder are removed to form a planar surface.
