  • Patent number: 11861916
Abstract: A method for monitoring driver alertness in a vehicle is disclosed. Image data representing images of an eye of a driver are obtained, the images having been captured while the driver is operating the vehicle. An eye openness measure of the eye of the driver is computed, based on the image data. A determination is made that the driver is in an unsafe state for driving based on the eye openness measure, and an alert is generated, while the driver is operating the vehicle, based on determining that the driver is in the unsafe state.

  • Patent number: 11837348
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

  • Patent number: 11830302
Abstract: In some examples, a control system for a vehicle can detect a set of ultrasonic signals generated by a mobile computing device of a user. Additionally, the control system can determine a pin code from the set of ultrasonic signals. Moreover, the control system can perform one or more vehicle operations to initiate fulfillment of a transport request that is associated with the determined pin code, upon the user being determined to be within a given proximity distance of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11804091
Abstract: A cloud door lock control system identifies time varied 2D codes and images. A cloud device transmits the encryption codes of doors to be opened, the time periods for opening the doors, and the user's encryption codes to the mobile phone. The mobile phone stores these values in a memory. A mobile phone APP receives these values and encrypts them by using a specific encrypting code. The encoding way for the encoding unit is time varied. When the cloud device receives the QR code from a card reader, it is decoded and is compared with those stored in the cloud device to determine whether the door is necessary to be opened. The cloud device stores mobile phone holder's images which is transferred to the APP. The mobile phone holder's image is displayable on the mobile phone for determining whether the mobile phone holder is acceptable to pass through the door.

  • Patent number: 11788982
Abstract: A device for measuring a wear condition on the plain bearing surface of a sensor plate comprises a measuring apparatus, which has wear sensors of a sensor plate integrated into the plain bearing surface. To capture the material removal at the plain bearing surface due to wear an evaluation apparatus is in signal connection with the wear sensors. The evaluation apparatus is designed, with respect to programming, in such a way that a change, in particular an increase, in the ohmic resistance value of the electrical conductor of a certain wear sensor can be captured in dependence on its own material removal, in order to thereby ensure that the amount of the material removal at the plain bearing surface and/or the remaining thickness of the plain bearing surface at the location of said certain wear sensor can be inferred from the detected change in the resistance value.
