Abstract: At step ST2, an assign key changing item is selected from menu items. At step ST3, an assign key to which a function is assigned is selected. At step ST4, a function to be assigned is selected. The selected function is assigned to the selected assign key. At step ST5, a setting result indication screen appears. When one of two paired functions is assigned, a message which prompts a user to assign the other function. After the message has appeared for a predetermined time, the latest assigned states appear. At step ST6, the latest assign key information is stored to a non-volatile memory. To quit an assigning process, a menu button 8 is pressed and the menu is closed (at step ST8).

Abstract: A user interface, in accordance with the teachings described herein, is provided for integrating applications on a mobile communication device. An instant messaging user interface may be included for displaying an instant messaging communication that includes an instant messaging contact. An instant messaging user interface menu may be included for displaying a list of commands, one or more of the commands being specific to the displayed instant messaging contact, and the list of commands including a command associated with a calendar application. The user interface may be operable to automatically launch the calendar application in response to a user selecting the command associated with the calendar application. A field in the calendar application may be automatically populated with the instant messaging contact.

Abstract: In some embodiments, an electronic device displays a playback user interface that is configured to playback content on the electronic device. While displaying the playback user interface that is configured to playback the content on the electronic device, the electronic device displays a scrubber bar for navigating through the content, wherein the scrubber bar includes: a visual indication of a current playback position within the content; and one or more playback time indications that include time values based on the current playback position within the content. A respective playback time indication of the one or more playback time indications is based on a time of day at the electronic device, and an amount of time that it will take to play the content from the current playback position to an end of the content at a respective content playback speed.

Abstract: A selected screen, such as a monitoring tool, operating on a remote desktop is exported to a mobile client device, such as a smart phone, tablet, smart watch, etc. The client device polls the remote desktop for images, pointers, commands, etc. relating to the selected screen. The remote desktop provides the requested data to the client device through a command queue maintained by the remote desktop.

Abstract: A tool for interacting with a rendered environment is configured to render a representation of a real-world environment. Input data is received that is indicative of a position for a zoom window to be placed within the representation. The zoom window is rendered at the position within the representation and has a size that is determined based on one or more criteria. Within the zoom window, a magnified view of a portion of the representation is rendered that is proximate to the position of the zoom window. Input data is received that is indicative of a first gesture applied to the zoom window and is indicative of a resizing of the zoom window. The zoom window is resized on the UI in accordance with the first gesture, and a scale of the magnified view within the zoom window is maintained as the zoom window is resized. Input data is received that is indicative of a second gesture applied to the zoom window and indicative of a change to a zoom scale for content within the zoom window.

The processor when executing the executable instructions: defines a plurality of widgets, wherein each widget comprises a visual representation of a current state of an associated function of the vehicle, displays a subset of the plurality of widgets on a portion of the touch screen display defining a plurality of widget spaces, and displays an icon tray on the touch screen display comprising one or more icons, in which at least one of the one or more icons corresponds to a respective one of the plurality of widgets.

Abstract: The present technology provides a system that enables a user to communicate with one of multiple devices in a network based on context information from another device in the network. The system includes a context manager configured to (1) receive context information from the multiple devices; (2) identify a subject-of-interest based on a user input; (3) determine a set of relevant context information based on the subject-of-interest and the received context information; and (4) transmitting the set of relevant context information to a target device to perform a task associated with the subject-of-interest. The context information managed by the present technology enables a user to conveniently interact with the multiple devices in the network without requiring the user to provide details of his/her instructions.

Abstract: A device, system, and method generate a graphical interface including a map for a set of items. The method includes identifying the items in the set of items. For each item, the method includes measuring a usage characteristic for the item at a predetermined time and generating an icon for the item, a display characteristic of the icon based on the usage characteristic. The method includes generating the map including the icons.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described that include providing, on a touchscreen display of an electronic device, a stream of content items, at least some of which are associated with a corresponding display anchor. Inputs are detected at the touchscreen display and the inputs are associated with a scroll speed. The scroll speed may be based on a detected distance between the inputs on the touchscreen and an elapsed time between at least two of the inputs. In response to determining a lack of input for a predefined time period, a display anchor can be determined and selected. The display anchor may correspond to a content item to be used as a pause location for the stream. The scrolling of the stream of content items can be paused at the pause location to use the selected display anchor to display the content item in a top viewable portion of the display.

Abstract: A client computing system (CCS) receives a download including (i) an image representative of a vehicle component, (ii) symbol data associated with a first symbol, (iii) a set of one or more selectable identifiers, and (iv) supplemental information associated with the vehicle component. Each selectable identifier can indicate a respective portion of the supplemental information. After receiving the download, the CCS displays the image and the first symbol without displaying the set and the supplemental information. While the image and the first symbol are displayed without the set, the CCS receives a first input corresponding to selection of the first symbol. The CCS then responsively displays the set. While the set is displayed, the CCS receives a second input corresponding to selection of a first selectable identifier from the set. The CCS then responsively displays the respective portion of the supplemental information indicated by the first selectable identifier.

The messaging app launches the polling extension app, and the polling context is communicated between the polling extension app and the messaging app through an interprocess communication.

Abstract: Techniques described herein may involve modification of playback based on the proximity of a user to a playback device. An example technique involves a device determining that a listener is within a given proximity of a first playback device and based on determining that the listener is within the given proximity of the first playback device, causing the first playback device to begin playback of first media and causing a second playback device to modify playback of second media.

Abstract: The current subject matter provides a GUI that includes an improved navigation bar for visualizing information related to a data set. The navigation bar can allow a user to navigate through, scroll, and/or selectively visualize, certain data within the data set, while also providing visual representations of values recorded within the data set. In one embodiment, the navigation bar can include multiple sections/segments that can correspond to different groups of subsets of the data set. The subsets can be grouped based on values of a particular property/variable recorded in the data set. Colors of each segment of the navigation bar can correspond to values of the property in each group, thereby providing a user with summarized information about the data set. The navigation bar can eliminate a need for additional discrete graphical objects (e.g., charts, graphs, tables, etc.) that would otherwise be used to provide summarized information to the user.
