Abstract: A remote network management platform manages a managed network. The managed network may contain computing devices for executing applications. The remote network management platform may also include a database storing a graph that represents the computing devices, the applications, and relationships therebetween. A computing device may be configured to generate and provide a graphical user interface that includes: (i) a panel containing an active copy of the graph read from the database, (ii) a first selectable control that creates an editable, private copy of the graph and replaces the active copy of the graph in the panel with the editable, private copy of the graph, and (iii) a second selectable control that updates the active copy of the graph with the editable, private copy of the graph, saves the active copy of the graph as updated to the database, and displays the active copy of the graph as updated.

Abstract: A method for determining a proportion of an area in a computer-generated scene that is visible to a user on a display of a handheld device configured to receive touch-based inputs. A location of the area in the computer-generated scene visible on the display of the handheld device is determined, and a touch-based input to the display of the handheld device is detected. A representation of the one touch-based input detected by the handheld device is generated and an intersection between the representation of the location of the touch-based input on the display of the handheld device, and a representation of the area at the location is determined. The intersection indicates the proportion of the area not visible to the user of the handheld device. An indication representative of the intersection is then transmitted to a remote server.

Abstract: Disclosed herein a browser that intelligently places a user interface (UI) element on a webpage such that the UI element appears to be integrated and coordinated with the webpage and not merely overlaid on the webpage. The intelligent placement ensures that the UI element neither obstructs the view of pertinent content displayed via the webpage nor interferes with the functionality of the webpage. Moreover, the intelligent placement ensures that the UI element is completely visible to a user. The placement of the UI element is done by the browser after the webpage has been retrieved from a web server. Consequently, the browser lacks the ability to control or alter the layout and appearance of the webpage. The UI element can be a selectable UI element that the browser associates with a function. In one example, the function can be an image-based search.

Abstract: Systems and methods for a cognitive system to interact with a user are provide. Aspects include receiving a cognitive system profile and observational data associated with the user. Environmental data associated with the user is received and features are extracted from the observations data and the environmental data. The features are stored in the user profile and analyzed to determine a situational context for each of the features based on the cognitive system profile and the user profile. Trigger events are identified based on the situational context for each of the features. One or more proposed actions are determined based at least in part on the one or more trigger events. At least one action is initiated from the one or more proposed actions and are stored in the user profile along with the one or more trigger events and the one or more features.

Abstract: A method for managing annotation surfaces for a document includes receiving a request to add a note to a document, displaying a first user interface (UI) surface for the note, the first UI surface including an editable surface that is editable by a plurality of users and the first UI surface enabling visibility of content to the plurality of users in real-time, and attaching a second UI surface to the first UI surface, the second UI surface being a UI surface for a comment and the second surface UI surface requiring user action for posting the comment.

Abstract: An actionable content generation system (ACGS) and a method for generating and rendering intent-based actionable content in real time are provided. The ACGS, integrated within an input interface, for example, a keyboard, detects and simultaneously analyzes one or more messages being entered by a user in an input field of a user application using the input interface in real time. The ACGS generates tokens from the message(s) and determines intent with a confidence element from the tokens in real time based on a stored mapping and a confidence computation. The ACGS generates actionable content based on the intent using campaign data. The ACGS renders at least one element containing the actionable content on a graphical user interface and/or the input interface for interaction by the user and performance of one or more recommended actions.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for collaborative session including co-browsing in a virtual workspace. The system includes a server-side network node including logic to access a web application using a uniform resource locator (URL) of the web application. The server-side network node includes logic to generate a first model of the web application corresponding to the current state of the web application. The server-side network node includes logic to provide a spatial event map identifying events in the virtual workspace, the events identified by the spatial event map are related to the first model of the web application. The system includes logic to create a second model of the web application as a result of updates to the current state of the web application. The system includes logic to generate an update patch using a difference between the second model and the first model of the web application.

Abstract: A wireless device may display a second content image based on content image data received from an external device which is displaying a first content image, receive touch down input, transmit a first message indicating the received touch down input to the external device through a user input back channel (UIBC), receive touch movement input, and transmit a second message including a command to ignore the first message to the external device through the UIBC, upon determining that the received touch movement input is input for screen magnification.

Abstract: Analytics dashboards for critical event management systems that include artificial-intelligence (AI) functionalities, and related software. AI functionalities disclosed include pattern recognition and predictive modelling. One or more pattern-recognition algorithms can be used, for example, to identified patterns or other groupings within stored critical events, which can then be used to improve response performance and/or to inform the generation of predictive models. One or more predictive-modeling algorithms can be used to generate one or more predictive models that can then be used, for example, to make predictions about newly arriving critical events that can then be used, among other things, to provide optimal response performance and allow users to efficiently and effectively manage responses critical events. Abstract: A system for preventing duplication of a computer source file to a destination file includes a user application accessed by a user of a computer. An agent application hosted by the computer registers for a notification of a user interface action with an operating system (OS) of the computer. The agent receives notice from the OS of the user interface action and determines if the user interface action is indicative of a data file duplication operation of a source file to a destination file location The Agent compares a property of the source file and a property of the destination file location to a blocking criteria, and blocks the user interface action from reaching the application.

Abstract: A computing device is described that outputs a radial interface. The computing device accesses a list that includes multiple time-based events that have a particular duration. The computing device selects, based on the list and the duration of each time-based event, a subset of time-based events determined such that a sum of the durations for each event in the subset is less than or equal to an hour. An order of the events in the subset is the same as in the list. The computing device generates a graphical user interface that includes a graphical selector and a number of graphical representations equal to the number of events in the subset, each graphical representation corresponding to a different event from the subset, arranged around the selector, and having a size proportional to the duration of the event corresponding to the respective representation. The computing device outputs, for display, the interface.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method implemented in software for providing digital audio content to a first user of an electronic device. The method includes displaying digital audio content to a first user, determining a digital audio content to be provided to the first user based on a demographic information, a psychographic information or a preference of the first user. The method may include receiving an input from the first user on a graphical user interface element that is displayed along with multimedia content, and may include triggering playback of the digital audio content in response to the first user performing actions on the graphical user interface element. The method has particular advantages as a method of providing a customized user-experience for a prospective or possible real estate transaction.

Abstract: An acoustic parameter editing method is used in a plurality of terminals configured to receive editing of an acoustic parameter and a management apparatus individually connected to the plurality of terminals and including a preview memory configured to preview the acoustic parameter before reflecting the acoustic parameter in a sound signal processing engine. When a first terminal among the plurality of terminals is connected to the management apparatus and a request for the preview is made from the first terminal, the management apparatus causes the first terminal to refer to the preview memory in response to the request from the first terminal. Thereafter, when a second terminal among the plurality of terminals is connected to the management apparatus and a request for the preview is made from the second terminal, the management apparatus causes the second terminal to share the preview memory referenced by the first terminal.

Abstract: An ultrasound apparatus includes: a display unit configured to display on an ultrasound image a measuring device image including a plurality of measuring points which indicate points on the ultrasound image that are to be measured, and an adjusting portion for adjusting the plurality of measuring points; an input unit configured to receive a touch input for changing a position of the adjusting portion; and a controller configured to adjust a position of at least one of the plurality of measuring points based on the changed position of the adjusting portion, and to obtain a measurement value based on positions of the plurality of measuring points including the at least one measuring point, the position of which is adjusted, wherein the plurality of measuring points are disposed apart from the adjusting portion.

Abstract: A two way communication assembly includes a display housing that is positionable on a support surface such that the display housing is visible to a pair of users. A pair of displays and a pair of qwerty keyboards is each integrated into opposite sides of the display housing. A translation unit is integrated into the display housing and the translation unit stores a database comprising a plurality of languages spoken around the world. The translation unit translates language between the qwerty keyboards to facilitate a patient who speaks a first language to communicate with a caregiver that speaks a second language. In this way the translation unit facilitates the caregiver to communicate with the patient.

Abstract: Techniques discussed herein relate to managing service provider resources. The techniques may include receiving a first request to organize a first workload and a second workload into a space. The first workload may be associated with a first computing resource of a first service provider and the second workload may be associated with a second computing resource of a second service provider. The techniques may import data associated with the first workload and the second workload into the space. The techniques may cause an action to be performed for the first workload and the second workload by implementing a first workflow for the first workload and implementing a second workflow for the second workload.
