  • Patent number: 10956693
Abstract: An RFID-based item tracking system may use statistical methods to determine whether a tag or tagged item that does not respond when inventoried is present in a particular zone or reader antenna field-of-view. In one embodiment, the item tracking system may determine an observability of an item based on one or more initial trials. Upon not detecting the item in one or more subsequent trials, the item tracking system may estimate whether the item is still present based on the observability.

  • Patent number: 10952016
Abstract: System, device, and method of secure and location-aware garage door actuation for efficient delivery of packages. For example, a delivery vehicle or a courier carries or has a device able to determine its geographic location. Based on the geographic location, the device receives wirelessly, from a remote server or a cloud-based platform or from a nearby Home Automation System, an incoming wireless message indicating to the device how to construct and transmit an outgoing wireless message that would cause actuation of the particular garage door of a particular venue at which the device is located or for which a package delivery is required. Accordingly, a single device is dynamically configured on-the-fly, to selectively open a variety of garage doors of various houses or venues.

  • Patent number: 10932016
Abstract: A data processing device for processing telemetry data obtains sampled data based on output data from a plurality of sensors associated with a vehicle. The data processing device generates first and second sets of sampled values using the sampled data. The first set of sampled values are associated with a first sampling time and the second set of sampled values are associated with a second, subsequent sampling time. The data processing device derives a set of data elements, a data element being indicative of a measure of a change between a sampled value in the first set and a corresponding sampled value in the second set, a position of a given data element in the set of data elements having been determined based on at least one mapping rule. The data processing device encodes the set of data elements and outputs data comprising at least the encoded set of data elements for transmission to a remote data processing unit.
