Abstract: It is important to trap and identify mosquitos to ensure the safety of the population where mosquitos gather. The classification of a type of mosquito is typically accomplished by a unique wingbeat signature that is characteristic of different types of mosquitos. One of the goals of the trap is to quickly identify the mosquito and then quickly release the mosquito. This application will allow the user to obtain an approximate population so that the appropriate type and amount of insecticide can be applied to control the population to insure the health of the human and animal population while at the same time minimizing danger to the environment or surrounding ecosystem.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder alert apparatus for improved ice fishing includes a housing, a rod aperture configured to hold the handle of a fishing rod, and a pivot rod. The pivot arm moves between a side position and an alternate front position. A swing arm moves between an engaged position and an alternate released position and has a line slot configured to secure a fishing line. A plurality of magnets is coupled to the pivot arm. A ferrous strip is coupled to the swing arm and is selectively engageable with the plurality of magnets to secure the swing arm in the engaged position until pulled by the fishing line, tripping a switch sensor to activate a buzzer. A logic module and a battery are coupled to the housing. The battery is in operational communication with the switch sensor, the buzzer, and the logic module.
Abstract: A system for repelling sharks is disclosed. Magnets are connected to a rod along its length. If necessary, the rod may be extended. Additionally, one or more flotation devices may be connected to the rod to manipulate or adjust the buoyancy of the system, depending on the user's objective(s). The rod is connected to a fishing line once a fish is hooked and is in close proximity to the boat or other structure from which the fisherman is fishing. The weight of the rod and magnets cause the rod to slide down to the end of the fishing line, where the rod will come in contact with the hooked mouth of the fish. As the fish struggles during the fight, the rod creates a protective magnetic field around the fish to deter sharks from engaging the fish.
Abstract: A crawfish trap bait guard which, in use, is mounted upon the staking rod of a crawfish trap, inside the mesh of the crawfish trap, above the floor of the trap, and below the water line. The crawfish trap bait guard encloses the bait in such a way as to prevent the access of birds and fish to the bait, while allowing crawfish within the trap to obtain managed portions of the bait by reaching through calibrated open areas distributed around the crawfish trap bait guard so as to allow a large number of crawfish to feed at the same time.
Abstract: A removeable, adhesive wrapper used to augment any existing rodent trap by affixation to the top, side and bottom faces of the rodent trap's operating platform. It is folded about the operating platform and connected to itself, leaving an adhesive layer facing up in the region of the bait station. When the rodent steps on it and stops to take the bait, they are no longer capable of quickly moving when they activate the trap's trigger and the kill bar of the rodent trap is released. Even if the rodent does not reach the bait station, their jiggling efforts to extricate their feet and/or lower body from the adhesive wrapper will activate the trigger. Once dead, the adhesive wrapper may be unfolded and wrapped around the dead rodent for disposal.
Abstract: An insect trap device and methods of using the device are described herein.
