  • Patent number: 11291197
Abstract: A trotline deployment apparatus for safely deploying a trotline from a watercraft, the trotline having a plurality of hooks each attached to the trotline via a trotter line and a swivel, comprising a trotline canister, and a support frame having an upper assembly and a base. The trotline canister has an interior space adapted to foldably store the trotline, an opening which allows the trotline to be pulled away from the interior space, and a guide slot which sequentially engages the swivels and prevents the trotline from becoming entangled. The trotline canister is detachably secured to the upper assembly via a retaining collar. A hook holder adapted to selectively enclose the hooks prevents unintentional contact with the hooks. The upper assembly further has one or more hook separator arms from which the hooks are suspended and separated to facilitate application of bait.

  • Patent number: 11252952
Abstract: A trap has a housing including an entrance. Internally, the trap has a trigger structure including a trigger plate and a latch mechanism, coupled with the housing; and a pivoting structure pivotally coupled with the housing and adapted to releasably engage with the latch mechanism of the trigger structure. When the trap is triggered by a rodent, the pivoting structure disengages from the latch mechanism and the pivoting structure pivots towards a rear wall of the housing and the trigger plate, and the trigger plate pivots toward the pivoting structure, moving the rodent against towards the rear wall of the housing and trapping the rodent between the pivoting structure and the rear wall. Once the trap is triggered, the rodent is contained and in most cases, killed, within the trap.

  • Patent number: 11252951
Abstract: A holding system for fishing hooks and other items having an eye, such as a needle, is formed from a flexible and resilient first section of line that is formed into an infinite loop having a large loop having a bulbous portion in its relaxed state, and a small loop, each on either side of a crimped sleeve. The held items are fed onto the line via each item's eye and the items held between the bulbous portion and the sleeve such that the bulbous portion prevents the items' discharge from the line. When the bulbous portion is squeezed, it becomes flattened allowing the items to slide off of the large loop in orderly fashion. When the bulbous portion is no longer squeezed, it resiliently returns back to its bulbous state. A second section of line can coextend with the small loop and be held by the sleeve.
