  • Patent number: 11588596
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a configuration associated with a layer to reference signal port mapping. In some cases, the UE may identify, based at least in part on the configuration, that at least one layer of a set of layers for receiving a downlink transmission from the base station is adapted based on at least one interference layer. In some cases, the adapted layer may be mapped to one or more reference signal ports. The UE may receive the downlink transmission and may decode the downlink transmission based on identifying that the at least one layer is adapted and the layer to reference signal port mapping.

  • Patent number: 11576061
Abstract: Aspects relate to beam management in multi-stream communication between a radio access network (RAN) entity and a user equipment (UE). The RAN entity may transmit a plurality of transmit beams from a plurality of transmission and reception points (TRPs) associated with the RAN entity to the UE. For each of the transmit beams, the UE may obtain a beam quality metric on each of a plurality of receive beams of the UE during a measurement period (e.g., in parallel or serially) to generate a respective beam quality metric vector for each of the transmit beams. The UE can then transmit a beam report including the respective beam quality metric vector for each of the transmit beams to the RAN entity. The RAN entity may then select at least two beam pair links, each associated with a respective TRP, for spatial division multiplexing of at least two streams to the UE based on the beam report.

  • Patent number: 11563682
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method generally includes a first edge (E) node in a network receiving an encapsulated data packet, wherein the encapsulated data packet comprises an outer header and a data packet, wherein the outer header comprises a first router locator (RLOC) corresponding to the first E node, wherein the data packet comprises an internet protocol (IP) header, and wherein the IP header comprises a destination endpoint identification (EID) corresponding to a host H. The first E node determines whether the host H is attached to the first E node. And in response to the first E node determining the host is attached to the first E node, the first E node forwards the data packet to the host H. The first E node receives a message from another node after the host H detaches from the first E node and reattaches to another E node, wherein the message comprises the destination EID.

  • Patent number: 11546070
Abstract: A system and method of propagating signal links by using artificial neural networks using a relay link selection protocol to predict an optimal link or path, providing a reliable mechanism to meet 5G-new radio requirements. The artificial neural networks used in the method classify training and testing datasets into sufficient signal strengths and insufficient signal strengths, such that paths are evaluated for predicted propagation links, and such that the strongest propagation link can be selected. Specifically, a multilayer perceptron method is used to identify and characterize new link candidates using the path loss parameter or the received signal strength, such that optimal links can be selected and updated. To determine the sufficiency of a signal, a threshold energy strength is determined (for example, a threshold of ?120 dBm can be used; any energy strength below the threshold is considered a poor propagation and is classified as an insufficient signal).

  • Patent number: 11539466
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards scheduling downlink transmissions using orthogonal resources (that is, resources that avoid or at least reduce interference) when a network configures a user equipment (UE) with a multiple slot configuration to repeat the HARQ-ACK information for a transmission. By using orthogonal resources, a downlink transmission can be scheduled in consecutive time slots instead of waiting for the repeated HARQ-ACKs to complete.

  • Patent number: 11539635
Abstract: Resource allocation limitations include resource limits and resource guarantees. A consumer is vulnerable to interruption by other consumers if using more resources than guaranteed. Resources are designated and/or assigned to consumers based on resource limits and resource guarantees. A constraint programming (CP) solver determines resource limits and resource guarantees that minimize vulnerability and/or vulnerability cost based on resource usage data. A CP data model includes limit elements, guarantee elements, and vulnerability elements. The CP data model further includes guarantee-vulnerability constraints, which relies on exceedance distributions generated from resource usage data for the consumers. The CP data model declaratively expresses combinatorial properties of a problem in terms of constraints. CP is a form of declarative programming.
