Abstract: A vehicle remote instruction training device that trains a remote commander who issues a remote instruction to an actual autonomous vehicle includes: a commander interface including an information output unit that shows a situation of the actual autonomous vehicle to the remote commander and an instruction input unit for the remote commander to input the remote instruction to the actual autonomous vehicle; a virtual situation display unit that shows a virtual situation of a virtual vehicle with time variation to a remote commander who is a trainee through the information output unit; a remote instruction input recognition unit that recognizes an input of the remote instruction input into the instruction input unit; and an evaluation unit that evaluates the remote commander based on timing at which they issue the remote instruction with respect to the virtual situation of the virtual vehicle or on a content of the remote instruction.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing an interface for construction of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) character model are provided. An example method includes receiving a description of a character from a user via a client-side computing device; generating, based on the description, parameters of the AI character model corresponding to the character; and providing, via the client-side computing device, the interface enabling the user to modify at least one of the parameters of the AI character model. The description includes a guideline for an actor describing how to play the character, an age, an ethnicity, an appearance, a motivation, a habit, knowledge of the character, and a dialog of the character with a further character. Values of entry fields for modifying the parameters of the AI character model are determined based on the description.

Abstract: Contact or movement gestures between a first body part and a second body part can be detected. Sense circuitry can be configured to sense a signal at the sense electrode (e.g., configured to contact the second body part) in response to a drive signal applied to the drive electrode (e.g., configured to contact the first body part). Processing circuitry can be configured to detect contact in accordance with a determination that one or more criteria are met (e.g., an amplitude criterion and a non-distortion criterion). Additionally or alternatively, processing circuitry can be configured to detect a movement gesture in accordance with a determination that one or more criteria are met (e.g., a contact criterion and a movement criterion).

Abstract: A method and system for assessing a machine learning model providing a prediction as to the disease state of a patient from a 2D or 3D image of the patient or a sample obtained therefrom. The machine learning model produces a prediction of the disease state from the image. The method involves presenting on a display of a workstation the image of the patient or a sample obtained therefrom along with a risk score or classification associated with the prediction. The image is further augmented with high-lighting to indicate one or more regions in the image which affected the prediction produced by the machine learning model. Tools are provided by which the user may highlight one or more regions of the image which the user deems to be suspicious for the disease state. Inference is performed on the user-highlighted areas by the machine learning model. The results of the inference are presented to the user via the display.

Abstract: An avatar or avatar environment to visualize data may be provided within a social networking system or service, for example as part of the Internet, and/or within a desktop widget, panel, gadget, or the like. The avatar may further evolve or alter its appearance, animation, or other visual or audio characteristics in response to the data or other input such as athletic activity performed by a corresponding user. In particular, the avatar of an embodiment may respond to and provide visualization of athletic or sport performance data.

Abstract: Systems and methods for universal menu integration. A digital key is issued to a vendor to access an interface. An uploaded menu is received from the vendor. The uploaded menu is in a universal format based on pre-determined criteria. The menu may be received from the vendor via HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP). The uploaded menu may be submitted in a format different from the universal format and then subsequently translated into the universal format. The uploaded menu is posted for receiving online delivery orders. An online delivery order is received from a user device. Last, the online delivery order is transmitted to the vendor. The interface may be an application programming interface (API) utilizing an API library including post, get, and patch functions, as well as out of stock and item availability fields. The system may be configured to receive menu updates after posting the uploaded menu.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein enable a browser to display content of a web page that is incompatible therewith. When such a page is to be traversed, the first browser causes a virtual machine that executes an instance of a second browser with which the page is compatible to be instantiated. The browsers communicate via communication channels utilized to share information therebetween. For instance, the first browser provides a URL of the page to the second browser for traversal thereby. Graphics information corresponding to the page is provided to the first browser. The first browser generates an image corresponding to the page based on the graphics information and renders the image in a tab of the first browser. This enables a visual experience for the user where it appears that the page is being rendered by the first browser when it is in fact being rendered by the second browser.

Abstract: Systems and processes are disclosed for operating a digital assistant in a media environment. In an exemplary embodiment, a user can interact with a digital assistant of a media device while content is displayed by the media device. In one approach, a plurality of exemplary natural language requests can be displayed in response to detecting a user input of a first input type. The plurality of exemplary natural language requests can be contextually-related to the displayed content. In another approach, a user request can be received in response to detecting a user input of a second input type. A task that at least partially satisfies the user request can be performed. The performed task can depend on the nature of the user request and the content being displayed by the media device. In particular, the user request can be satisfied while reducing disruption to user consumption of media content.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for linearizing interfaces within computing applications. In some embodiments, the techniques include defining a sequence of user interface elements, where at least a subset of user interface elements in the sequence of user interface elements correspond to controls for affecting a session state. Responsive to receiving an input value through a user interface element, a linearization process adds the input value to at least one dataset for evaluating a current state for each respective user interface element subsequent to the user interface element in the sequence of user interface elements. The process further evaluates the current state for each respective user interface element subsequent to the user interface element in the sequence of user interface elements based on values within the at least one data set. The process may disable and/or enable one or more user interface elements based on the evaluation.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to systems and techniques for executing a documentation application displaying a graphical user interface having an editable field configured to receive textual input. The system receives a first portion of a textual input in the editable field, which includes a command character designating the first portion of the textual input as a link insertion command. The system receives a second portion of textual input in the editable field and, before entry of the textual input is complete, the system analyzes the second portion of the textual input to identify an external platform service. The system then accesses, using an application programming interface, first hosted data hosted by the external platform service. The first hosted data may be displayed in line with the textual input and used to generate a complete link path. Once complete, the link path is replaced with a selectable graphical object that is operable, when selected, to redirect the user to the external platform service.

Abstract: Systems and processes are disclosed for operating a digital assistant in a media environment. In an example process, a primary set of media items can be displayed. An audio input containing a media-related request can be received. A primary user intent corresponding to the media-related request can be determined. In accordance with a determination that the primary user intent comprises a user intent to narrow the primary media search query, a second primary media search query corresponding to the primary user intent can be generated. The second primary media search query can be based on the media-related request and the primary media search query. The second primary media search query can be performed to obtain a second primary set of media items. Display of the primary set of media items can be replaced with display of the second primary set of media items.

The detailed data may be retrieved in response to a search, with only the high-level data graphically displayed first, with the additional data and stored templates be ready to instantly produce the nested, detailed charts upon use activation.
