  • Patent number: 10181962
Abstract: Wireless access points detect neighboring wireless access points in different subnets. Upon connecting with a wireless client, a wireless access point determines predictive roaming information for the wireless client. Predictive roaming information identifies the wireless client; its home network subnet; and includes connection information associated with the wireless client. The wireless access point forwards the predictive roaming information associated with a wireless client to neighboring wireless access points while the wireless client is still connected with the wireless access point. Neighboring wireless access points store received predictive roaming information. Upon connecting with a wireless client, a neighboring wireless access point determines if the wireless client matches the stored predictive roaming information.

  • Patent number: 10178668
Abstract: In enhanced licensed assisted access (eLAA), providing several approaches to report the CSI measurement may be desirable to provide flexibility in CSI reporting, especially in aperiodic CSI reporting. Further, a difference in using a licensed carrier and an unlicensed carrier may be considered during communication. In addition, assigning different transmit power usage based on different transmission types may be desired. The apparatus may be a user equipment (UE). The apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives a grant for uplink communication. The UE determines a reporting subframe based on the grant. The UE determines whether to select, as a reference subframe, a triggering subframe in which the grant is received or a subframe before the reporting subframe. The UE transmits, in the reporting subframe, channel state information (CSI) measured in the reference subframe.

  • Patent number: 10165603
Abstract: A transmission part transmits a packet by radio. A power detection part performs, at a given cycle, sampling of power of a spatial radio signal in a packet transmission period during which the transmission part transmits the packet. A collision detection part calculates, as an index value, at least one of the average value and the degree of variation of power of the spatial radio signal in the packet transmission period on the basis of sampled data obtained in the sampling by the power detection part. The collision detection part also determines a reference value on the basis of transmission power of the packet. The collision detection part detects whether or not collision of the packet is present by comparing the index value with the reference value.

  • Patent number: 10098070
Abstract: A method and apparatus for power control for wireless transmissions on multiple component carriers corresponding to multiple serving cells associated with multiple timing advances are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may determine transmit powers for a first physical channel for a first serving cell in a first timing advanced group (TAG) and a second physical channel for a second serving cell in a second TAG. The first TAG may less timing advanced than the second TAG. The WTRU may determine a WTRU configured maximum output power (PCMAX) for an overlapping portion, which may be a portion of a transmission of the first channel in a first subframe that overlaps in time with a portion of a transmission of the second channel in a next subframe. The WTRU may adjust the channels such that a sum of their transmit powers in the overlapping portion does not exceed the determined PCMAX.

  • Patent number: 10091749
Abstract: Embodiments for providing reference signal generation redundancy in distributed antenna systems (DASs) are disclosed. To avoid a single point of failure in reference signal generation that could cause components relying on the reference signal to not operate properly, the reference signal generation circuits disclosed herein include a plurality of reference signal generation modules. One reference signal generation module is configured as the master reference signal generation module to generate a master reference signal distributed in the DAS. The other reference signal generation modules are configured as slave reference signal generation modules. If a failure is detected in the generation of the master reference signal in the master reference signal generation module, another slave reference signal generation module is reconfigured to be the new master reference signal generation module to generate the master reference signal.

  • Patent number: 10084647
Abstract: A data forwarding device includes server interfaces virtual network cards, a fusion switch and a network interface. A server interface obtains a data frame sent by a virtual network card driver running on a server corresponding to the server interface and obtains a first fusion descriptor, and sends the first fusion descriptor and the data frame to a virtual network card unit that corresponds to the virtual network card driver. The first fusion descriptor includes a type of the descriptor and a length of the data frame. The virtual network card processes the data frame according to the first fusion descriptor, and sends the data frame to the fusion switch. The fusion switch sends the data frame to a corresponding server via a virtual network card, or sends the data frame to an external network via a network interface.

  • Patent number: 10075931
Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting a synchronization signal for device-to-device (D2D) operation in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) determines that it is out of coverage (OOC). Even though the UE is OOC, the UE continues to transmit a D2D synchronization signal for in-coverage under a specific condition. If the UE determines that it is in coverage before the specific condition is met, the UE transmits the D2D synchronization signal for in-coverage. If the specific condition is met while the UE is OOC, the UE transmits the D2D synchronization signal for OOC.
