  • Patent number: 10728385
Abstract: A system for ring suppression facilitates notification and handling of unwanted calls as desired by a recipient, and in particular without disturbing the recipient. A new social dimension of call presentation logic is now available to callers. A telephony device is configured to receive an incoming call. The incoming call includes a calling line identity (CLI). On the telephony device, individual contacts in an address book are searched for a match to the CLI. If a match is found, a first phone action is activated (such as ringing the phone). If a match is not found in the address book for the incoming CLI, a second phone action is activated (such as not ringing the phone, and displaying the CLI). In other words, a call that is not in the address book of the recipient (B party) is silenced.

  • Patent number: 10701662
Abstract: A wideband, radio-frequency localization system may estimate the one-dimensional, two-dimensional or three-dimensional position and trajectory of a static or moving object. These estimates may have a high spatial accuracy and low latency. The localization may be determined based on phase or amplitude of a wideband signal in each frequency band in a set of multiple frequency bands. The localization may be based on a single shot of measurements across a wide band of radio frequencies, without frequency hopping. The measurements of the wideband signal may be taken over time and over space at multiple receivers. The localization may be based on measurements taken while a backscatter node remains in a first reflective state or in a second reflective state, rather than when the backscatter node is transitioning between reflective states. In some cases, the localization achieves sub-centimeter spatial resolution in each of three spatial dimensions.

  • Patent number: 10616858
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for determining a location of a user equipment (UE) communicating over a shared communication medium in unlicensed spectrum. In an aspect, the UE receives a unique or distinct positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration for each of a plurality of secondary cells, where each PRS configuration includes a common set of positioning occasions and where the plurality of secondary cells are in contention for the common set of positioning occasions. The UE attempts to measure a PRS for each of the PRS configurations in each positioning occasion and typically measures a PRS for just one PRS configuration in each positioning occasion due to the contention for positioning occasions. The UE reports the PRS measurements and the identities of the measured PRS configurations to a location server which uses the reported data to determine a location for the UE.
