Abstract: Techniques and arrangements for facilitating synchronization of order ticket functionality utilized by point-of-sale (POS) devices with kitchen display systems. In some example, a POS device and a line buster device collectively receive a plurality of customer orders associated with a transaction between a merchant and plurality of customers. Based on individual customer orders, the POS device determines when to fire off the orders to the kitchen display system irrespective of the sequence in which they are received. In some examples, the kitchen display system then synchronizes with a customer device to provide real-time or near-real time updates on the status of the order.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a system and method for utilizing an automated aerial vehicle for determining the content of items included in bins within a materials handling facility. In some implementations, the automated aerial vehicle may fly along a flight path past one or more bins (e.g., for imaging the bins to determine the content of the bins and for which the images may be correlated with the bins). The flight path for the automated aerial vehicle may be determined based on various parameters e.g., for most efficiently imaging the bins, etc.).

Abstract: A computer system can implement a network transaction service by receiving a transaction request from a computing device of a requesting user that has a customer account linked to the network transaction service. Based on the transaction request, the computer system can determine a merchant account of the registered merchant that is linked to the network transaction service. The computer system can then execute a remote transaction operation to transfer funds from a shared account of the network transaction service to the merchant account to fulfill the transaction request, where the shared account is different from the customer account of the requesting user.

Abstract: A method implemented using a computing device in communication with one or more memory devices is provided. The method includes receiving a request from a client computing device to provide financial performance data for at least a first merchant of a plurality of merchants, retrieving transaction data associated with the plurality of merchants from the one or more memory devices wherein the transaction data is associated with payments processed through a payment network, comparing the transaction data associated with the first merchant to the transaction data associated with each of the plurality of merchants to determine at least one ranking of the first merchant relative to the plurality of merchants based on at least one financial performance factor, and transmitting the at least one ranking to the client computing device, in response to the request, without providing a name of the first merchant.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage devices for an electronic label for use within shelf label tracks in stores. Such electronic labels receive initial information associated with an item being sold and begin displaying that information. When a change occurs such that the label needs to be modified, a record of the original information is retained within memory in the electronic label, such that the modified display can be used until the need for the modification ends. At that point, the electronic label can be restored to display the original information again using the stored record.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for facilitating the automatic transmission of an electronic receipt to a user conducting a financial transaction at a computing device. The systems and methods described herein enable a series of operations whereby a user can conduct a transaction at a computing device and the computing device can automatically read user-account information and one or more electronic contact addresses which are stored in the memory of the user's personal transaction device. The system can also process the transaction and automatically transmit an electronic receipt to the electronic contact address providing an automated transaction experience that does not require the user to actively input an electronic contact address into the computing device in order to have the receipt transmitted electronically. In addition, the system thereby facilitates private transaction as opposed the unsecured and time-consuming process of manually entering a contact address.

Abstract: A method and system may provide automated passenger seat assignment procedures for an airline. A server device may determine passengers for a departing flight who are eligible to receive seat assignment notifications. When an eligible passenger is next in a standby or upgrade queue, the server device may transmit an electronic communication such as an email, short message service (SMS) message, push notification, etc., to the passenger's network-enabled device. The electronic communication may indicate that a seat assignment is available and may provide instructions for accepting or declining the available seat assignment. If the user accepts, for example, by transmitting an electronic reply message to the server device accepting the available seat assignment, the server device may transmit an electronic boarding pass to the user corresponding to the available seat assignment.

In some example embodiments, the methods and systems collect information from titles of items available for purchase within a network-based publication system, generate a title for a container of uncategorized items available for purchase within the network-based publication system that is based on the collected information, and associate two or more uncategorized items available for purchase within the network-based publication system to the container based on a comparison of titles of the two or more uncategorized items and the generated title for the container of uncategorized items.

The method includes assigning a unique first device identifier, associating the first device with an object, and storing the unique identifier and an identifier for the object associated with the first device in a location server. The method also includes transmitting a first message containing the unique identifier, but not the first device location, receiving the first message at a second device, and transmitting a second message from the second device containing the unique identifier and a second device location. The method also includes, at the location server, receiving the second message, associating the location of the second device with the first device, storing the location of the second device, receiving a request for the location of the object, and in response to the request, providing the unique identifier and the second device location.

In an implementation, a candidate paywall metric is created that corresponds to an increased propensity of users to engage in a paid transaction when exposed to a paywall. In this way, providers of digital content may increase the proportion of users that perform a transaction when exposed to the paywall.

The gateway device is wirelessly linked to one or more digital audio playback devices to provide a gateway to the Internet for the digital audio playback devices. In addition to functioning as a gateway, the device provides additional functionality and may act as a cache of digital audio data for the various digital audio players connected in the wireless network and may also act to automatically update digital audio content on the audio players, synchronize digital audio content and playlists between the digital audio players and continue automatically or upon user request a particular playlist as the user moves from one digital audio player to another.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to systems and methods that enable access control for digital objects based on measured physiological signals of a user. A method of operation of a human mind interface (HMI) system includes measuring, via a physiological sensor of a HMI device, a brain pattern of a user while the user retrieves a digital object after training. The method includes identifying, via a processor of the HMI device, the measured brain pattern stored in a memory of the HMI device, and determining, via the processor, the digital object stored in the memory that is associated with the identified brain pattern. The method includes accessing, via the processor, the digital object and retrieving information contained in the digital object and providing, via the processor of the HMI device, the information contained in the digital object to a recipient on behalf of the user.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for determining a materiality threshold of a local data value for a group data value. In one example, a method includes receiving a group data file and a local data file, identifying a local data value from the local data file and a corresponding confidential group data value from the group data file, determining whether an error or an omission in combining the local data value with the confidential group data value impacts a materiality threshold of the confidential group data value, and generating and displaying a materiality indicator that visually indicates whether the local data value is going to impact a materiality threshold of the confidential group data value. According to various aspects, a user can quickly identify whether a coding process is doing to affect a materiality of a data value from a larger group.

Abstract: A document management system includes first and second terminals and a server, wherein processing tasks of the first terminal is offloaded to the server and results of the processing tasks are delivered to the second terminal. The first terminal transmits document preparation data and a destination address corresponding to a user. The server receives the document preparation data and the destination address, generates a document code indicating a classification of document contents and the document, stores the document, and controls transmissions of the document code and a storage address of the document to the destination address. The second terminal receives the document code and storage address, downloads the document based on the information indicating the storage address of the document, and stores the downloaded document in a storage device of the second terminal at a location determined based on the classification of document contents included in the document code.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a technology for automatically triggering delivery of a digital receipt for a financial transaction based on a previously stored electronic address for receiving digital receipts. In at least some embodiments, the technology includes a digital receipt system working in coordination with one or more merchants' POS device to deliver receipts for current transactions based on a previously stored electronic address from past transactions. The first time a user utilizes a payment card in a transaction, the system associates and stores a user-provided electronic address with the card. The next time the user utilizes the card in a new transaction, the system identifies the card has been used in a past transaction, determines the electronic address associated with the card, and automatically triggers receipt delivery to the electronic address, regardless of the new transaction being with a same or different merchant than the one in the past transaction.

Abstract: A method of creating customized beverage products includes providing a multiple stream filing system suited for producing an array of beverage products. The method also includes receiving an order for a customized beverage product from the array of beverage products. The order indicates at least one characteristic of the customized beverage product. The at least one characteristic comprises one or more of the following: a beverage formulation, a beverage additive, a package size, a package shape, or label content. The method further includes instructing the multiple stream filling system to produce the customized beverage product. The multiple stream filing system produces the customized beverage product without performing an operation to reduce contamination of the customized beverage product with ingredients from a previously produced beverage product.

The controller calculates the discharge amount per container of syrup used to produce the selected beverage on the basis of the data indicating the dilution ratio of the selected beverage, and the data indicating the supply amount per container of the beverage. Next, the controller calculates the number of selected beverages available for sale on the basis of the data indicating the remaining amount of syrup used to produce the selected beverage and the calculated discharge amount, and displays available-for-sale numbers.
