Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for classifying data sets using associated functions from neural networks. In one example, a system for classifying data sets by corresponding functions includes at least one processor and at least one non-transitory memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor cause the system to perform operations including: obtaining a neural network associated with a data set, the neural network being trained to generate synthetic data sets related to the data set; selecting a test set of inputs to the neural network; obtaining a corresponding set of outputs by applying the neural network to the test set of inputs; estimating one or more functions describing the test set of inputs and the corresponding set of outputs; and indexing the estimated one or more functions to the data.

Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein provide more efficient and more relevant item recommendations to users in large-scale environments in which only positive interest information is known. The techniques use a rank-constrained formulation that generalizes relationships based on known user interests in items and/or use a randomized singular value decomposition (SVD) approximation technique to solve the formulation to identify items of interest to users in an efficiently, scalable manner.

Abstract: A cooking management system is described that identifies a customer and orders a product for the customer based at least on current temporal data. The cooking management system identifies customers associated with previous product requests that occurred during a predetermined range of time based at least on a comparison of current temporal data with temporal data associated with the previous product requests. The cooking management system causes presentation of identifiers of the identified customers on a display. Responsive to determining that the identifier for a particular customer has been selected, the cooking management system automatically causes a cooking device to prepare a product for the particular customer based at least on customer data associated with the particular customer.

The invention therefore allows humans to accurately and automatically track their nutritional input, inventory transferal and in-store purchases in real-time. The invention relates to low-cost, printable electronics with integrated micro-electromechanical (MEMS) and/or Nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS), wireless inductive power and wireless communication, and targets a low-cost solution applicable to consumer applications.

Abstract: Described herein are embodiments of a system that permits various entities (e.g., hiring, staffing, and client computer systems and/or devices) involved in the placement of a candidate to a job to interact systematically to carry out functions that conventional systems are unable to perform. These functions may, for example, include synchronizing systems of different entities involved in placing a worker, effectively tracking a temporary workers during a placement and/or hiring process, and post placement activities. To this end, systems and method are provided that permit a handshake process between disparate systems to complete a candidate placement process, timesheet approval and processing, consolidated invoicing, customized analytics and reporting, supplier onboarding of temporary workers, and post-hiring tracking, among other novel tools, interfaces and functionality.

Abstract: Described is a system and method for presenting event information to a user and, if necessary, obtaining confirmation of different aspects (user, item, action) of the event. In some implementations, an event includes a user, an action, and an item. For example, an event may include a user picking an item from an inventory location, a user placing an item into a tote associated with the user, etc. if the aspects of the event cannot be determined with a high enough degree of confidence, a user interface may be generated and sent to the user requesting confirmation of one or more of the aspects of the event.

Abstract: Temporarily provisioning functionality to a personal device in a multi-device point-of-sale (POS) system is described. In an example, a personal device can be determined to be within a range of a POS system of a merchant. The POS system can include a merchant-facing device and a customer-facing device that is coupled to the merchant-facing device. Functionality can be provisioned to the personal device that (i) configures the personal device to present a customer user interface (UI) via a display of the personal device to enable a customer operating the personal device to interact with the merchant and (ii) enables the personal device to interact with at least one of the merchant-facing device or the customer-facing device. Responsive to determining an occurrence of an event, the functionality can be de-provisioned from the personal device.

Abstract: In some examples, a system may receive, from a merchant device, an indication of a transaction between a merchant and a customer, including transaction information associated with the transaction. The system may further receive, from the merchant device, a signal from a customer device associated with the customer and received by the merchant device. Based on the transaction information, the system may determine a previous signal previously received from the customer device, and at least one previous parameter associated with the previous signal. The system determines at least one parameter associated with the received signal and determines a presence indication based on comparing the previous parameter and the determined parameter. For example, the presence indication may be indicative of the customer device being physically present at or near a geographical location of the merchant device. Based on the presence indication, the system may send an instruction to process the transaction.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include systems and methods for extracting information from a transaction description. In one embodiment, a system is disclosed that may include one or more processors and one or more memory devices storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, performs operations consistent with the disclosed embodiments. In one embodiment, the operations may include receiving a transaction description. The operations may also include identifying known location information corresponding to the transaction description and determining whether information from the transaction description corresponds to the identified known location information. The operations may further include removing location information from the transaction description based on the determination. In another aspect, the operations may also include extracting additional location information from the transaction description that is not associated with the known location information.

Abstract: A computing system can receive a primary authorization request corresponding to use of a prepaid payment means of a user of the transaction service for a transaction with a merchant. Based on receiving the primary authorization request, that system can determine that an account balance corresponding to the prepaid payment means comprises inadequate funds to fulfill the transaction. In response, the system can automatically transmit a secondary authorization request to a financial entity associated with an account of the user, and subsequently receive an approval of the secondary authorization request, which enables the system to utilize the account of the user to make up for the inadequate funds of the account balance of the prepaid payment means. Based on receiving the approval, the system can transmit an authorization to the point-of-sale terminal of the merchant to authorize the primary authorization request for the transaction.

The proxy card can be associated with account data from multiple other cards, such as account data from a driver's license and from various payment cards, such as a credit card, a debit card, and a pre-paid gift card. In some embodiments, a card-holder can associate an additional card with the proxy card using a mobile device. The mobile device associates the additional card with the proxy card by causing updating of stored association information, that represents an association between the card and the account data of the multiple cards, with the account information.

Abstract: Systems, method, and computer-readable storage media for controlling item retrieval processes from an item and storage infrastructure are disclosed. The disclosed techniques utilize an automated guided vehicle (AGV) and real-time feedback to validate the item retrieval process is performed correctly. Item retrieval may be performed autonomously by an AGV equipped with item retrieval components, such as hydraulic arms, pistons, and other components and control logic, or may be performed as a user-aided process, where feedback is provided to the user to instruct the user which item is to be retrieved and the user then loads the item onto the AGV. The AGV is configured to utilize a coordinate system to facilitate automated navigation along a series of determined waypoints during the item retrieval process. Additionally, feedback or instructions may be provided to a user device (e.g., for user-aided processes) to assist with the item retrieval process.

The multi-dimensional recommended order system determines the recommended order for each product configuration with a goal of moving a future supply mix of complex products to an optimized target supply mix. The recommended order can be generated and evaluated based on demand analysis of not only configured products but also based on analysis for demand of particular product dimensions. Thus, the system determines a recommended order for each configurable product by minimizing imbalances between future supplies and target supplies of product configurations and future supplies and target supplies of dimensions of the product configurations.
