  • Patent number: 11662027
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for mitigating fluid loss or leakage from a fluid pump with a rotating shaft driving a pumping mechanism. A packing gland component can have an internal seal formed by two dynamic O-rings that allows for use of lubricants at high pressures, as well as an outer seal for greater prevention of fluid loss. Further, the packing gland component can be a retrofit for existing packing gland components to provide for greater life and efficiency as compared to the existing packing gland components. Additionally, in some implementations, a sleeve may be fixedly attached to the rotating shaft between the packing gland and the shaft to provide a wear point for the packing gland.

  • Patent number: 11619303
Abstract: A ringset is configured to be arranged on a piston for sealing a gas in a high-pressure region of a cylinder in the absence of oil or other liquid lubricant. The ringset includes one or more rings made from a high-strength material as a sealing element. The ringset also includes a solid lubricant applicator configured to provide lubrication between the one or more rings and a bore of the cylinder. For example, the ring can support pressure loads from high-pressure gas without breaking, while the applicator need not act as a seal. As the piston reciprocates in the bore, the applicator slides against the bore and applies solid lubricant material to the bore, resulting in a solid lubricant film on the bore against which the sealing element may slide. The applicator includes a material such as a graphite, a polymer, or other suitable solid lubricant.

  • Patent number: 11603931
Abstract: A high temperature secondary seal between a rotating seal face adaptor sleeve and a rotating shaft does not consume additional axial space beyond the axial space occupied by the secondary seal. The seal includes a single ring drive collar comprising a plurality of radial directed bolts in tapped holes. As the bolts are tightened they enter a cylindrical cavity in the drive collar and impact therein a sloped surface of a crush ring. The vertical force thereby applied to the crush ring displaces the crush ring axially into a secondary graphite sealing element, thereby crushing the secondary sealing element against the adaptor sleeve and shaft, and forming a seal there between. The crush ring sloped surface can terminate in a vertical face, so that upon sufficient displacement of the crush ring the bolts abut the vertical face and impact the shaft, fixing the drive collar to the shaft.
