Each RAR is associated with a corresponding subheader within the header of the MAC PDU. The random access procedure is associated with a first RAR of the one or more RARs and the extended RAPID for the random access procedure is indicated by a combination of one or more bits in the first RAR and one or more bits in the subheader that corresponds to the first RAR.

The smoking article possesses at least one form of tobacco. The smoking article also possesses a mouth-end piece that is used by the smoker to inhale components of tobacco that are generated by the action of heat upon components of the cigarette. A representative smoking article possesses an outer housing incorporating a source of electrical power (e.g., a battery), a sensing mechanism for powering the device at least during periods of draw, and a heating device (e.g., at least one electrical resistance heating element) for forming a thermally generated aerosol that incorporates components of tobacco. During use, the cigarette is positioned within the device, and after use, the used cigarette is removed from the device and replaced with another cigarette.

The transmitter device is coupled to the spark plug and is electrically disposed between the high voltage connector and the electrical conductor. Further, the transmitter device is configured to draw an excitation current from the electrical conductor. The transmitter device includes an optical signal generator that is configured to generate an optical signal in response to the drawn excitation current. The receiver device is disposed in optical communication with the transmitter device and configured to receive the optical signal from the transmitter device.

Abstract: A software system that has an embedded browser, an authenticator and a data channel module where the authenticator is adapted to authenticate a user, to authenticate a data channel and to bind the user authentication with the authenticated channel is disclosed. The authenticator is further adapted to communicate with the user via a graphical user interface of the embedded browser using graphical and control primitives of the authenticator and/or using a stand-alone graphical user interface of the authenticator, and the data channel module is adapted to communicate with service provider servers via a secure protocol, to communicate with the embedded browser and to communicate with the authenticator. A method of authentication using this system increases security and user comfort when accessing services and data requiring authentication is also disclosed.

Abstract: Cartridges for vaporizer devices are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, the cartridge can include an atomizer and a channel extending through the cartridge from an inlet to an outlet. The atomizer includes a wicking element that is configured to substantially draw a vaporizable material from a reservoir and into the atomizer, and a heating element that is configured to substantially vaporize the vaporizable material into a vaporized material. The channel has an airflow path and a vapor path that intersect at a first junction between the inlet and the outlet. The airflow path is configured to receive and substantially allow air to pass therethrough, and the vapor path is configured to direct the vaporized material into the first junction so that the vaporized material mixes with the air to substantially form an aerosol downstream of the atomizer. Vaporizer devices are also provided.

An elevator includes a tube nest for receiving a support tube containing the pre-roll and selectively raises the pre-roll to be pierced by the needle. A needle heater is supported for travel along the needle as the elevator moves up and down. The elevator tube nest includes a motor-driven rotatable base for rotating the support tube and pre-roll during infusion. A stepper motor equipped with an encoder controls the raising and lowering of the elevator. The needle may include two or more spaced spray ports. A needle pointer indicates to a user the location of the needle spray ports. The fluid vessel includes a stirrer motor, and the current draw thereof is used to determine the viscosity of the fluid. Different support tubes are provided to accommodate different pre-roll styles.
