Abstract: A smoking article may include a cigarette incorporated within an electrically powered aerosol generating device that acts as a holder for that cigarette. The smoking article possesses at least one form of tobacco. The smoking article also possesses a mouth-end piece that is used by the smoker to inhale components of tobacco that are generated by the action of heat upon components of the cigarette. A representative smoking article possesses an outer housing incorporating a source of electrical power (e.g., a battery), a sensing mechanism for powering the device at least during periods of draw, and a heating device (e.g., at least one electrical resistance heating element) for forming a thermally generated aerosol that incorporates components of tobacco. During use, the cigarette is positioned within the device, and after use, the used cigarette is removed from the device and replaced with another cigarette.

Abstract: A method for presenting one or more images to an observer on a reconfigurable electronic display includes prompting the observer to select a portion of the display that is visible to the observer and, if the observer has selected a portion of the display, presenting the images to fit within the selected portion of the display. Subsequent to presenting the images to fit within the selected portion of the display and in response to at least partial obstruction of the observer's view of the images by a visual obstruction, the images are reconfigured to be fully visible to the observer notwithstanding the visual obstruction.

Abstract: Pre-roll infusing apparatus includes fluid vessel, a fluid pump and an infusion needle for spraying fluid into the pre-roll. An elevator includes a tube nest for receiving a support tube containing the pre-roll and selectively raises the pre-roll to be pierced by the needle. A needle heater is supported for travel along the needle as the elevator moves up and down. The elevator tube nest includes a motor-driven rotatable base for rotating the support tube and pre-roll during infusion. A stepper motor equipped with an encoder controls the raising and lowering of the elevator. The needle may include two or more spaced spray ports. A needle pointer indicates to a user the location of the needle spray ports. The fluid vessel includes a stirrer motor, and the current draw thereof is used to determine the viscosity of the fluid. Different support tubes are provided to accommodate different pre-roll styles.

Abstract: An assembly for a nacelle, which includes a fixed cowl, a movable cowl that is movable between a closed position and an open position, and including an upper edge and a lower edge and, between the two edges, a reinforcing rib. The fixed cowl includes, an upper reinforcing rib and a lower reinforcing rib, a hinge including a fixed part attached to the upper reinforcing rib of the fixed cowl, a movable part attached to the reinforcing rib of the movable cowl, and at least two locks, each one including a first part secured to the lower reinforcing rib and a second part secured to the reinforcing rib of the movable cowl. An assembly of this kind serves to provide access to the inside of the nacelle while ensuring that the cowls remain sufficiently rigid.

Abstract: Cartridges for vaporizer devices are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, the cartridge can include an atomizer and a channel extending through the cartridge from an inlet to an outlet. The atomizer includes a wicking element that is configured to substantially draw a vaporizable material from a reservoir and into the atomizer, and a heating element that is configured to substantially vaporize the vaporizable material into a vaporized material. The channel has an airflow path and a vapor path that intersect at a first junction between the inlet and the outlet. The airflow path is configured to receive and substantially allow air to pass therethrough, and the vapor path is configured to direct the vaporized material into the first junction so that the vaporized material mixes with the air to substantially form an aerosol downstream of the atomizer. Abstract: A software system that has an embedded browser, an authenticator and a data channel module where the authenticator is adapted to authenticate a user, to authenticate a data channel and to bind the user authentication with the authenticated channel is disclosed. The authenticator is further adapted to communicate with the user via a graphical user interface of the embedded browser using graphical and control primitives of the authenticator and/or using a stand-alone graphical user interface of the authenticator, and the data channel module is adapted to communicate with service provider servers via a secure protocol, to communicate with the embedded browser and to communicate with the authenticator. A method of authentication using this system increases security and user comfort when accessing services and data requiring authentication is also disclosed.
