  • Patent number: 11810106
Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating a transaction between a first entity and a second entity using a digital currency are described. In some aspects, a computing node participates in a private distributed ledger for a financial institution and stores one or more transaction blocks representing transactions in a digital currency. The digital currency is issued by the financial institution and is fixed with respect to a fiat currency. The computing node is configured to receive a transaction for transferring an amount of digital currency from a first entity to a second entity, generate a new transaction block representing the transaction, transmit the new transaction block to other computing nodes participating in the private distributed ledger, receive an indication of validity of the new transaction block, and insert the new transaction block into the private distributed ledger.

  • Patent number: 11749007
Abstract: A digital image of a check may be divided into segments. The segments may be processed to determine the edges between the background data and the check data in the segments of the digital image. A histogram of each segment may be determined and used to determine the edges of the check image portions in the segments and thus the edges of the check. The data outside the edges of the check image portions in the segments may be considered to be background data and may be identified and/or removed. The segments, with the background data removed, may be recombined into an image of the check and provided into a digital image file that may be transmitted to an institution system for deposit of the check in an account.

  • Patent number: 11741535
Abstract: This invention describes a new financial language which cures a deficiency sustained by money when it became computer handled: money lost its identity and became a number, as compared with banknotes and physical coins which had a material identity. The new language writes digital coin such that they have value and identity fused together. This new language allows for restoration of the old notion of the cash register. This invention describes a digital cash register offering operational advantages as to clarity, security and accountability.

  • Patent number: 11720951
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an intelligent quote-to-cash software agent (“the Agent”) that enables users to efficiently interface with a quote-to-cash system from external messaging applications. The Agent is able to communicate with users using natural language and to identify quote-to-cash system action requests and associated parameters from natural language communications. The user may communicate with the Agent from one of plurality of messaging applications that are not associated with the quote-to-cash system. In response to identifying a quote-to-cash action request and associated parameters in a communication session with a user, the Agent calls the quote-to-cash system and obtains the applicable quote-to-cash output requested by the user. The Agent forwards the quote-to-cash system output to the user via the external messaging application selected by the user. The Agent may initiate communications with the user to inform the user of an opportunity in the quote-to-cash process.

  • Patent number: 11687931
Abstract: A method of facilitating a transaction with a payment card of a cardholder. The method includes receiving a deceptive PIN comprising a set of characters in which one character is a deceptive character. The deceptive character is different than each of a set of actual characters of an actual PIN of the payment card. The method includes identifying the deceptive character and a position of the deceptive character among the set of characters of the deceptive PIN. The method includes determining a reconstructed PIN by replacing the deceptive character with a corresponding actual character at the position in the deceptive PIN. The actual character is determined based on a predefined mathematical expression and a predefined value for the predefined mathematical expression. The method includes authenticating the reconstructed PIN by matching the reconstructed PIN with the actual PIN. The method further includes facilitating the transaction upon successful authentication.
