Abstract: When migrating a virtual server between a plurality of physical servers, a pre-migration connection relationship between the virtual server and a storage area used by the virtual server is maintained after the migration of the virtual server by using a cooperative mechanism between a plurality of storage apparatuses even if the storage area used by the virtual server is migrated between the plurality of storage apparatuses. A computer system and virtual server migration control method for the computer system is described.

Abstract: A cloud frame provides a framework comprising a monitoring and network services to support hardware nodes such as computing nodes and storage nodes. Cloud frames may be organized into a cluster of cloud frames. Hardware nodes in a cloud frame environment may conduct self-allocation of needed resources, which in turn may be provided by other hardware nodes in the cloud frame environment.

Abstract: A controller function residing underneath a client application in a TCP/IP stack or session layer monitors state and status information associated with session-based application layer functions (e.g., content retrieval) and uses this information to migrate one or more sessions from a first client interface to a second client interface (e.g., 3G, 4G, LTE, 802.11x, WiMAX) and to a different application function serving entity (e.g., a different content server, cache server, service provider).

Abstract: A system and method for parameter driven data format conversion in a client/server architecture are disclosed. A format conversion framework is provided in a protocol layer between the client and the server. The format conversion framework passes a format conversion identifier (ID) with a request from the client from the client to the server. A conversion module is looked up by the format conversion framework based on the format conversion ID, the conversion module providing a conversion routine. The format conversion framework then executes the conversion routine on a result returned from the server to the client based on the request, the conversion routine converting a format of the result into a format used by the client.

Abstract: Automated systems and methods are provided for establishing or maintaining a personalized trusted social network for a community of users, with little or no input from any given user. To establish the personalized trusted social network, one or more trusted sources are identified for a given user. The identified trusted sources are added to a user profile for the given user. Also, identified are any annotations, bookmarks, or the like that the identified trusted sources have associated with any shared content. These annotations provide access to microcontent items that the identified trusted sources have integrated with the shared content to thereby enhance or enrich its context. One or more profiles are constructed or updated to track the associations between the identified trusted sources and their annotations. The profile information can be applied to enhance and personalize search and browsing experiences for the given user.

Abstract: A method for moderating an electronic message includes intercepting the electronic message at a server computing device, and evaluating content of the electronic message at the server computing device to determine if the electronic message is required to enter a moderation workflow prior to delivering the electronic message to at least one recipient. The method also includes sending an approval request message from the server computing device to at least one moderator device, receiving a first moderation decision message at the server computing device from the at least one moderator, sending an update message from the server computing device to the at least one moderator to update the approval request message to include one or more properties of the first moderation decision, and removing the approval request message from the moderation workflow.

The delivery manager can be programmed to adaptively initiate delivery of the media content in the media delivery format and via the delivery mechanism according to the constraints of the delivery parameter.

The transactional middleware machine environment comprises a first message queue associated with a server in a first transactional machine, wherein the server operates to be accessed using a queue address in the first message queue. The transactional middleware machine environment further comprises a second message queue associated with a client in a second transactional machine. The client operates to send a service request message to the server directly using the first message queue, and the server operates to receive the service request message from the first message queue and send a service response message directly to the client using the second message queue.

Abstract: Presented are methods and apparatus for optimizing access to service capabilities information for clients associated with user in a communication system. Communications requesting service capabilities information is directed through one or more capabilities application servers for inspection before forwarding the requests to their destination user's client device. If the capabilities application server has previously stored the information then the reply is generated from information stored on the capabilities application server and no request is forwarded to the user's client device, optimizing the process by reducing network communications.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for identifying transparent network communication interception appliances in a network topology. The mechanisms collect network configuration data from a plurality of devices in the network topology and analyze the collected network configuration data using one or more heuristics to identify patterns in the collected network configuration data indicative of the presence of a transparent network communication interception appliance. The mechanisms calculate a confidence measure value based on results of the analysis of the collected network configuration data. The mechanisms further send a notification of a detected presence of a transparent network communication interception appliance to a computing device in response to the calculated confidence measure value meeting or exceeding at least one threshold value.

Abstract: A method and a device are disclosed for operating a data processing network which includes a plurality of geographically spaced-apart data centers and a large number of client computers, data being transmittable between each of the client computers and at least to one of the data centers, wherein one or more virtual servers is operateable in each of the data centers. According to at least one embodiment, access data is collected including information on geographical location of the client, geographical location of the virtual servers and the degree of utilization of the virtual servers. The access data collected is analyzed and, using the result of analysis, a migration plan, which is improved with respect to the mean latency, is created for the deployment of the virtual servers among the data centers. The virtual servers are migrated between the data centers in accordance with the migration plan.
