    Abstract: A device includes a semiconductor light emitting device and a wavelength-converting material comprising Sr—SiON:Eu2+. The Sr—SiON:Eu2+ wavelength-converting material absorbs light emitted by the light emitting device and emits light of a longer wavelength. The Sr—SiON:Eu2+ wavelength-converting material may be combined with other wavelength-converting materials to make white light. In some embodiments, the Sr—SiON:Eu2+ wavelength-converting layer is combined with a red-emitting wavelength-converting layer and a blue light emitting device to generate emission in colors, which are not achievable by only mixing primary and secondary wavelengths. In some embodiments, the Sr—SiON:Eu2+ wavelength-converting layer is combined with a red-emitting wavelength-converting layer, a blue-emitting wavelength-converting layer, and a UV light emitting device.

    Abstract: A spark plug has a central electrode, an insulator surrounding the central electrode and a metallic shell retaining therein the insulator and provided with no thread thereon. The spark plug is clearance fitted in a plug hole of a cylinder head, without being screwed into the plug hole, in such a manner that a front end portion of the metallic shell is accommodated in a front end section of the plug hole with a clearance therebetween provided with a sealant so as to transmit heat from the spark plug to the cylinder head. The clearance is preferably given by the following expression: 0.005≦D−d1≦0.05, where D is an inner diameter (mm) of the front end section and d1 is an outer diameter (mm) of the front end portion. By this, the spark plug can be easily attached to the cylinder head and attain improved heat resistance.

    Abstract: An electric lamp has an envelope with an inner surface and two electrodes located at each end of the envelope. The electrodes transfer electric power to generate ultraviolet radiation in the envelope which is filled with mercury and a charge sustaining gas. The inner surface of the envelope is pre-coated with an aluminum oxide layer to reflect ultraviolet radiation back into the envelope. A phosphor layer is formed over the aluminum oxide to convert the ultraviolet radiation to visible light.     Abstract: A color display tube (1) is disclosed having an improved suspension system of the color selection electrode (12). The positional stability of the color selection electrode (12) is of eminent importance for the color purity of the color display tube (1). If the color selection electrode (12) slightly shifts, the electron beams (7,8,9) may impinge on electroluminescent material of the wrong color, leading to discolorations. It is recognized that this positional stability is improved by applying free end portions (22) of a smaller diameter on the supporting elements (17) because this will lower the friction between the free end portions (22) and the suspension means (20). This smaller diameter has the disadvantage that the insertion of the color selection electrode (12) into the display window (3) of the color display tube (1) becomes more difficult. This invention solves this problem by applying free end portions (22), which are provided with a centering tip (44).

Consequently, because the conductive strip is held in place by magnets and is non-adhesive, it can be removed and replaced repeatedly during the testing of the solder electrodes and anti-reflective film without potentially damaging the solder electrode or degrading the performance of the conductive tape that is typically used as the ground path in a completed cathode ray tube.
