Abstract: Through a missing entity process any point of sale (POS) terminal can be used to help a missing entity contact find a missing entity. A missing entity system can receive a request that includes at least missing entity account information and merchant information as transmitted from the POS terminal. The request may be a missing entity service request (an API call) requesting a missing entity alert or a conventional transaction request, such as an authorization request or a preauthorization request. Upon receipt of the request, the missing entity system can obtain contact information for a missing entity contact associated with the missing entity account information and communicate, via a messaging application, the missing entity alert to the missing entity contact using the obtained contact information. The missing entity alert notifies the missing entity contact of the location of the missing entity as indicated by the merchant information.

An authentication server 300 includes: a storage unit 2 for storing settlement destination information indicating a destination of a request for electronic settlement in a store and first face data of a salesclerk of the store in association with each other; an input unit 1 for acquiring second face data of the salesclerk of the store from a user terminal that makes the electronic settlement; an authentication unit 3 for collating the second face data that has been acquired with the first face data stored in the storage unit; and an output unit 4 for outputting the settlement destination information associated with the first face data to the user terminal based on a result of collation.

Abstract: A casino cage cashout system includes integrated chip validation and transaction record generation. The system includes an interface to a chip reader. An output of the chip reader is used to generate chip information, including chip value, such as for causing an automated cash dispenser to dispense cash in an amount equal to the value of the chips being redeemed. The cage cashout system is also integrated with an anti-money laundering (AML) system, wherein the cage cashout system automatically generates a transaction report which include information regarding the chip cashout and transmits that report to the AML system.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for automated inventory using data associated with stock keeping unit SKU and fulfillment centers (FC) to initialize a data structure comprising a plurality of nodes, determine a weight associated with each FC based on the capacity of each FC, assignment SKU to one or more FCs, perform a preliminary mapping for the plurality of FCs, determining whether to rebalance the preliminary mapping of the quantity, and rebalancing the preliminary mapping based on the weights associated with each FC, to promote maximum utilization of the network.

Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein provide fraud mitigation via dynamic transaction card wireless communication. A mobile device may cause a dynamic transaction card to periodically scan its environment to detect wireless enabled devices proximately located near the dynamic transaction card. Based on identifying the wireless enabled devices frequently located near the dynamic transaction card, a set of approved devices may be determined. During a transaction, a dynamic transaction card may scan its environment for other wireless enabled devices proximately located near the dynamic transaction card. If wireless enabled devices detected by the dynamic transaction card are all, or a subset, of the devices that are frequently located near the card, then the transaction may be authorized. However, if the wireless enabled devices detected by the dynamic transaction card are not all, or a subset, of the devices that are frequently located near the card, then the transaction may be unauthorized.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices disclosed herein may be collectively referred to as a “platform.” A platform consistent with embodiments herein may be used by individuals or companies to track an amount of liquid poured from at least one liquid container. The platform may comprise a tracking device and a computing hub in operative bi-directional communication. The device that may be configured to a liquid dispensing container such as, but not limited to, a bottle. The device may be configured to receive a liquid from the container and transfer the liquid through a chamber within the device. As the liquid is transferred through the device, a computing element and sensing component integrated within the device may be configured to track an amount of liquid dispensed through the device. A communications module may then communicate the data with the hub.

Abstract: Examples methods, apparatus/systems and articles of manufacture for auditing point-of-sale images are disclosed herein. Example methods disclosed herein include comparing a region of interest of an image displayed via a user interface with a plurality of reference product images stored in a database to identify a plurality of candidate product images from the plurality of reference product images as potential matches to a first product depicted in the image. For example, the candidate product images are associated with respective confidence levels indicating respective likelihoods of matching the first product. Disclosed example methods also include displaying, via the user interface, the candidate product images simultaneously with the image in a manner based on the respective confidence levels, and automatically selecting a first one of the candidate product images as matching the first product based on the respective confidence levels.

Abstract: In some examples, a system may receive transaction data indicating payments into a first account over time and payments out of the first account over time, the first account associated with a user. In addition, the system may access a data structure including historical account data that indicates variations in a balance of the first account over time. The system may determine an indicated minimum balance for the first account based on inputting the transaction data and the historical account data into a first predictive model configured to predict a minimum balance for enabling predicted payments out of a user account. The system may determine, based on a difference between a current balance of the first account and the predicted minimum balance for the first account, that the first account has a surplus of funds. Based at least on the surplus, the system may send an instruction.

Triggering events may be defined in terms of sensor data. The triggering event may be defined by a user or through machine learning. The order may be placed using a predetermined modality or a dynamically-determined modality based on one or more criteria, such as price, shipping speed, and the urgency of the order.

A communication connection between a collection device and a payment device is established, wherein both the collection device and the payment device are in an offline state. Payment data sent by the collection device is received by the payment device through the communication connection established to the collection device. Payment processing based on the payment data and account information of the payment device is performed by the payment device, to obtain a payment result. The payment result is returned, by the payment device to the collection device through the communication connection. Collection processing is performed, by the collection device, based on the payment result and obtained account information of the payment device, to obtain a collection result.

Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for enabling merchant devices to interoperate with one another in a more robust manner, such that overall operation and efficiency within a merchant establishment is improved. For instance, the techniques described herein may enable the intelligent routing of requests between devices within the merchant establishment based on real-time locations of the devices, which devices are associated with which orders, and the like.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for authenticating mobile payments from a customer account to a merchant. The systems and methods may include a financial service provider receiving a request to authorize an electronic transaction at a point-of-sale. A financial service provider server computer may verify that the customer is present at the point-of-sale using received location data. An image having distorted text such as a captcha may be transmitted to a device at the point-of-sale, and the customer may read the captcha aloud. A voice sample of the customer may be sent to the financial service provider for comparison to stored voice recordings, to verify that the customer's voice sample is authentic if the voice matches a previously generated voice recording for the account. If the voice sample is authentic, the financial service provider may authorize the mobile payment.

Abstract: Methods and systems of exchanging data using payment cards with universal reference numbers are disclosed. A merchant computing system includes a merchant input/output assembly receiving a universal reference number from a customer at a point of sale. A merchant database retrievably stores a plurality of universal reference numbers and customer information associated with each of the plurality of universal reference numbers. A transaction circuit receives the universal reference number from the merchant input/output assembly, retrieves customer information associated with the universal reference number, and provides an output relating to a transaction based on the customer information.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for intelligent grouping of travel data for review through a user interface. In one example, a method for providing grouped travel data to a user interface of an application includes receiving travel data from an application running on a remote device; generating one or more travel data-based features from the travel data thereby creating featurized travel data; applying a pattern mining technique to the featurized travel data to detect a plurality of patterns in the featurized travel data; for each trip record in the featurized travel data: determining a plurality of trip record groups in which the trip record falls based on the plurality of patterns; and adding the trip record to a trip record group of the plurality of trip record groups according to a prioritization scheme; and transmitting the trip record group to the application running on the remote device.

Abstract: An automated transaction machine (ATM) can include a housing, a display, a cash recycler, and a check receiver. The display can be mounted to the housing and directed toward an exterior of the housing. The cash recycler can be configured to receive a first note of currency from a first user of the ATM and dispense the first note of currency to a subsequent, second user of the ATM. The check receiver can be positioned in the housing, an intake portion with an inlet communicating with the exterior of the housing, and a check reader portion configured to receive a check from the intake portion, scan data displayed on the check, and store the check. The intake portion can be positioned below the display and the check reader portion is positioned behind the display.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using machine learning to dynamically assess contract parameters are disclosed. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may train a machine learning model using real-world pricing and contract data, access parameters associated with a potential contract for an entity, and analyzing, using the machine learning model, the accessed parameters. Based on the analysis, the machine learning model may output a set of potential terms for the potential contract. Data indicative of this output may be availed to the entity to be used in negotiating and executing the contract, among other uses.
