Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing portable containers for users of vehicle services. In an embodiment, a method includes associating a portable container with a user. The method also includes providing a plurality of storage areas disposed about a geographic area. The plurality of storage areas are configured to temporarily store the portable container. The method also includes receiving a request to pick up the portable container from one of the plurality of storage areas. In addition, the method includes delivering, by way of a vehicle service, the portable container to a user location, a specified location, a different storage area of the plurality of storage areas, or a carrier vehicle.

Abstract: Provided are various systems and processes for improving last-mile delivery of real-time, on-demand orders for perishable goods. In one aspect, a method is provided for aggregating on-demand deliveries using a depot dispatch protocol which may implement automated order transport and retrieval systems. The method comprises dispatching merchant couriers to transport on-demand orders from merchants to a merchant depot where the orders are aggregated and batched based on optimized delivery routes and destination proximities. Batches of orders are then transported to a customer depot corresponding to an area of delivery destinations. Orders are then assigned to delivery couriers for completion of delivery to customers. Such delivery routing systems and processes may be implemented alongside a delivery tracking system for generating estimated time of arrival predictive updates for real-time delivery of perishable goods.

Abstract: A system and methods to facilitate transporting goods is disclosed. In aspects, the system can have a user interface comprising a display, a non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions, and a processor in communication with the non-transitory computer-readable medium and with the display. The instructions can be executed by the processor to process a user request for transporting the good from a pickup location to a destination location. Based on the user request, a preferred route from the pickup location to the destination location can be generated. The transporting can be controlled using a display by modifying a task icon.

Abstract: An information processing device performs an operation of a delivery service in which a vehicle cabin including a trunk of a vehicle used by a requester is designated as a delivery destination of luggage, or assists in the operation. Abstract: A method and apparatus provides a customs review system for building a customs approval database and system suitable for reviewing and verifying values and/or commodities of product parcels passing through customs. The customs review system can receive and store a stock keeping unit (SKU) for a product parcel in the customs approval database. The customs review system can also receive a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) related to the SKU and automatically associate the SKU with the URL in the customs approval database. In response to associating the SKU and the URL, the customs review system can make the product parcel as pre-approved or rejected for shipment to customs. The customs review system can search the customs approval database for the SKU of the product parcel and validate or invalid the product parcel being submitted for shipment and importation based on the search.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for image assisted delivery. A computing device may receive a first image from a first client device and a second image from a second client device. The computing device match a location in the first image to a location in the second image. The computing device may subsequently determine a characteristic of a package in the second image and determine that the characteristic of the package corresponds to package information of an order. Then, the computing device may confirm a delivery of the package.

Abstract: Presented are methods and systems to universally assess composite utility consumption (1) in which a plurality of real-time and batch sensor readings such as from multiple disparate utility sensor data inputs (3) may be acquired and stored such as into a local device (2) or a central data warehouse (6). A composite utility estimated cost generator (9) can generate missing or uncorrelated data and a collected composite utility data information correlator (11) can correlate the data so it can be applied to determine some type of composite utility cost information. For real-time calculation, a disparate utility rate information accessor (8) can obtain multiple items of disparate rate information and this can use with correlated data to create a composite utility consumption and spend so a user can manage and control utility usage for a home, building, facility, plant, specific equipment, or the like.

Abstract: A system and method for managing real time parcel delivery in an internet of things (IoT) computing environment are presented. One or more intercepting locations may be identified and determined to replace an originally scheduled delivery location for real-time delivery of a parcel to a recipient using one or more IoT computing devices. The one or more intercepting locations may be selected to replace the originally scheduled location for real-time delivery of the parcel to the recipient using the one or more IoT computing devices. Real-time delivery of the parcel to the one or more intercepting locations may be arranged/coordinated between a delivery service and the recipient.

Abstract: A device can receive, from a client device, a request to modify a schedule that includes information identifying the set of deliveries that the fleet of vehicles is to perform. The device can generate a set of modified schedules using information included in the request and one or more routing techniques. The device can determine, for each modified schedule, of the set of modified schedules, one or more scores for ranking the set of modified schedules, such as a projected delivery time score, an operational cost score, and/or an overall score. The device can provide the set of modified schedules that have been scored to the client device. The device can receive a modified schedule that has been selected by the client device. The device can deploy the selected modified schedule to instruct the fleet of vehicles to perform an updated set of deliveries associated with the selected modified schedule.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide check-in services to mobile devices using a check-in enabled network. When the mobile computer device attempts to access the check-in enabled network, a connection is established between the mobile computer device and the check-in enabled network. Check-in information is passed between the mobile computer device and the check-in enabled network to check in a user of the mobile computer device to an entity providing the check-in enabled network. The method may also include determining whether any additional actions are available to provide to the mobile device via the check-in enabled network, when an additional action is available, presenting the additional action to the user via the mobile device, and receiving input from the mobile device to take the additional action. Many additional actions may be available and are disclosed herein. The user's personal information may be protected while providing financial transactions with the system.

Abstract: Navigation data to a first location on a delivery route for a first delivery is sent to a navigation components of a delivery vehicle. Upon receipt of a notification that the first delivery to the first location is canceled, the availability of a backup delivery is determined. The location of each of a pre-determined set of potential buyers is compared to the current location of the delivery vehicle, and in real-time, a consumption of resources is calculated for a backup delivery and the return the one or more items to a designated return location. A determination of whether the backup delivery to a particular potential buyer is favorable as compared to the return the one or more items to the designated return location and, if favorable, navigational instructions are transmitted in real-time to the delivery vehicle to deliver the one or more items to the particular potential buyer.
