  • Patent number: 11951970
Abstract: A brake system for actuating a pair of front wheel brakes and a pair of rear wheel brakes is selectively operable during a manual push-through mode. A primary power transmission unit actuates at least one of wheel brakes in a normal braking mode. A secondary power transmission unit actuates the front wheel brakes in a backup braking mode. A primary electronic control unit controls at least one of the primary power transmission unit and a pair of rear brake motors. A secondary electronic control unit controls at least one of the secondary power transmission unit and the rear brake motors. An ABS modulator arrangement is hydraulically interposed between at least one of first and second three-way valves and at least a selected wheel brake. A multiplex control valve arrangement is hydraulically interposed between the secondary power transmission unit and the front wheel brakes.

  • Patent number: 11956554
Abstract: A remote detection method, node, and system is described. The detector includes a wireless communications module that wirelessly transmits the detection message to a remote sensing device. The remote sensing device includes a camera having a field of view and wirelessly communicates with the detector. The remote illumination and detection method performs preliminary filtering of captured image data to determine images/frames of interest with a computer vision module on board a processor in the node. The images of interest are then transmitted to a cloud computing component via a wireless or cellular network for detailed analysis to determine the presence or absence of motion or an object in each image of interest. The cloud computing component may employ machine learning computations that time and energy intensive, such as convolutional neural networks.

  • Patent number: 11953075
Abstract: A damper device that suppresses arc discharge between electrodes generated by bubbles in an electro-rheological fluid, includes an inner tube housed in an outer tube forming an outer shell of a damper device. An electrode tube is arranged between the outer tube and the inner tube. An electro-rheological fluid is sealed in the outer tube. The inner tube and the electrode tube constitute a cathode and an anode, respectively, and apply a voltage to the electro-rheological fluid located between the inner tube and the electrode tube. An insulating layer is provided on a surface of the electrode tube on a side facing the inner tube or on a surface of the inner tube on a side facing the electrode tube. When a maximum voltage applied to the electro-rheological fluid is Vmax (V), a thickness t (m) of the insulating layer is set to satisfy Formula (1).

  • Patent number: 11938913
Abstract: A power brake system (1.1) of a vehicle (2) has a pressure medium source (14) and a pressure-medium-operated primary brake system (30) operable as a service brake and steering brake system. The primary brake system has at least one foot brake valve (36a, 36b) and two wheel brake cylinders (40a, 40b) arranged on both sides on a drive axle (8) and operable independently of one another. A pressure-medium-operated secondary brake system (50), operable independently of the primary brake system (30), has a brake control valve (56) and at least one brake cylinder (62a, 62b. The secondary brake system (50) is electronically controllable and has a brake control valve (56) configured as a solenoid valve. The braking force of the at least one brake cylinder (62a, 62b) can be set by feeding or removing pressure medium to or from the latter via the brake control valve (56).

  • Patent number: 11938910
Abstract: A non-return valve device has at least part of a flow channel for a fluid and a movable cord-like sealing element arranged in the flow channel. The sealing element is configured such that it can be moved at least partially between a closed position and an open position, wherein, in the open position, a fluid flow is permitted through the flow channel, whereas in the closed position, the fluid flow through the flow channel is blocked by form-fitting engagement with the sealing element.

  • Patent number: 11932068
Abstract: A suspension element includes a main body having an end cap defining an internal volume and a tubular element slidably engaged with the main body. The suspension element further includes a first piston and a flow control element. The flow control element is configured to prevent movement of the tubular element relative the main body in a direction. The suspension element may further include a locking member and a piston. The locking member may be configured to engage a barrier of the main body when the first piston traverses at least a predetermined distance towards the end cap. The locking member may be affixed to the tubular element and may fully surround the tubular element. Together the flow control element and the locking member are configured to prevent movement of the suspension element.
