Abstract: Near-infrared activatable fluorescent small molecules for the photodynamic treatment of cancer are provided. Methods of treatment include contacting a plurality of cells of the cancer with a near-infrared activatable fluorescent small molecule and directing a near-IR light to the molecule for an amount of time sufficient to induce release of the active platinum species and a reactive oxygen species.
Abstract: The present invention includes CSNK1A1 inhibitors that are useful in treating or preventing a cancer in a subject. In certain embodiments, the cancer comprises a hematological cancer, such as but not limited to acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and/or MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome, including 5q-MDS). In other embodiments, the cancer comprises colon cancer.

Abstract: Described is an intra-mammary teat sealant and a corresponding method of forming a physical barrier in the teat canal of a non-human animal for prophylactic treatment of mammary disorders during the animal's dry period. The method includes the step of infusing a bismuth-free teat seal formulation into the teat canal of the animal. The method also prevents the formation of black spot defect in dairy products, especially cheddar cheese, made from the milk of animals so treated.
Abstract: The invention relates to novel compounds of the formula (I) in which R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, A1, A2, A3 and n each have the meanings given above, to their use as acaricides and/or insecticides for controlling animal pests and to processes and intermediates for their preparation.
Abstract: The invention describes a natural fungicide which comprises gallnut and myrobalan extracts which exhibit a synergistic effect against Alternaria brassicicola, and can be used to control crop fungal diseases.
