  • Patent number: 9694219
Abstract: The inventive concept is a safety device, which is an emergency safety system constructed so as to be clamped to a climbing tree stand typically used by an outdoorsman, particularly a hunter. The objective of the device is to safely expedite the vertical positioning of a tree mounting strap during ascent and/or descent of a tree. This is accomplished by means of symmetrical left and right assemblages of rigid mounting arms, brackets, and retention clasps which, when combined, hold a the tree mounting strap loosely around the circumference of a tree trunk. Should the climber experience an imminent fall from the tree, the arms of the safety device will cause the un-tensioned tree mounting strap (to which the hunter's body safety harness is attached) to collapse against the tree trunk. This tightening action will arrest the fall immediately and prevent serious injury.

  • Patent number: 9689135
Abstract: Coverings for structures which can be installed in the ground are known. In order to lock the covering on the structure, closures are known which comprise a snap bolt which is designed in such a way and is mounted movably on the covering (20) against the force of a spring device in such a way that, during closing of the covering (20), the snap bolt is forced back and snaps in behind a counterbearing (14, 14?) fixed to the structure in a closure position. To simplify the arrangement and also to improve durability, it is proposed that the snap bolt is mounted in a housing (40) which can be fastened in a housing receptacle of the covering (20).

  • Patent number: 9676261
Abstract: The subject invention provides for a weatherstrip assembly for sealing between a frame and a closure member of a vehicle. The assembly includes a trim portion having a body and a flange extending from the body. The flange is capable of moving between an initial position and a final position. A seal extends from the body for abutting and sealing the closure member. An adhesive is disposed on the body for coupling the trim portion to the frame. The adhesive is disposed opposite the seal such that the seal extends away from the adhesive. A retaining member is selectively mounted to the flange and spaced from the adhesive for selectively engaging the frame to selectively hold the flange in the initial position relative to the frame. The retaining member is removed from the flange while concurrently moving the flange toward the final position.
