Abstract: A system and method for predicting, forecasting and suggesting voyage plans for a vessel by considering design parameters, weather in sailing routes and a user's preference for best weather or best economy or fastest way to reach the destination. Voyage plans are optimized using the above parameters, and directions are continuously provided in the form of heading and speeds to be maintained by the vessel during the course of the voyage.
Abstract: A mobility information provision system includes a collector, a mapping unit, a generator, and a controller. The collector collects information about movement of mobile bodies. The mapping unit maps positions of the mobile bodies on the basis of the information collected by the collector. The generator generates course-related information by using information including the positions of the mobile bodies mapped by the mapping unit. The controller controls movement of each of the mobile bodies on the basis of the generated course-related information. The mapping unit maps a position error of a first mobile body together with a position of the first mobile body, in a case of determining that the position error occurs on the basis of the information collected by the collector. The generator generates the course-related information that allows the first mobile body to move within a range including the position and the position error thereof.
Abstract: Techniques for facilitating the autonomous presentation of a self-driving vehicle are provided. In one example, a method can include a system operatively coupled to a processor, where the system: determines a feature of a self-driving vehicle based on information regarding an entity in a pending transaction; determines a task to be performed by the self-driving vehicle based on the feature; and generates an instruction for the self-driving vehicle to perform the task.

Abstract: A method to determine, in real time, a use-life of a steering system includes tracking an attribute signal associated with the steering system. The method further includes, based on a determination that the attribute signal rises above an upper threshold and subsequently falls below a lower threshold, selecting a subset of categories based on a frequency content of the attribute signal. The method further includes selecting a category from the subset of categories based on a peak load occurring in sequence to the attribute signal via a secondary attribute signal. The method further includes incrementing a counter for the selected category. The method further includes computing the use-life based on a ratio of the counter for the selected category and a predetermined count for said selected category.

Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for blended control of remote operation of vehicles are presented. The sensors of automated vehicles can detect conditions for which there is no preprogrammed response. In these situations, automated vehicles can engage a remote operator mode. Remote operation of vehicles can be difficult. These techniques can use the automated driving system of the vehicle to monitor the driving commands from a remote operator and the sensor information of the vehicle. The commands from the remote operator can be analyzed by a supervision module in the automated vehicle. The supervision module can also receive vehicle sensor information. The supervision module can correct or adjust the remote operator commands as necessary to avoid collision, dampen remote operator induced oscillations, and provide for a smoother, safer, and more realistic driving experience.
Abstract: A driving control device for a remote controlled helicopter includes an rpm detection unit that detects an rpm of a main rotor, a gyro sensor that detects angular velocities of control axes including roll, pitch and yaw axes, and a control unit that generates a control signal of a control actuator for controlling movements of the control axes based on the angular velocities detected by the gyro sensor and a steering signal sent from a transmitter. The control unit has information on the gyro sensitivities of the control axes and information on a set rpm of the main rotor which are preset for each of the flight states of the remote controlled helicopter, and corrects the gyro sensitivities based on a difference between the set rpm corresponding to a selected flight state among the flight states and an rpm of the main rotor detected by the rpm detection unit.

The cluster vehicles of the first main cluster orient themselves to the first leading vehicle. Abstract: A POI request comprising query criteria and information identifying a starting location is received. A network version starting segment is identified based on the information identifying the starting location. A route determination algorithm is expanded, starting at the starting segment. When the route determination algorithm is expanded to a new segment, it is determined whether any POIs associated with the new segment match the query criteria. Responsive to determining that a POI associated with the new segment satisfies the query criteria, a POI route from the starting segment to the POI is extracted. Map version agnostic identifiers are generated for each segment of the POI routes. Each of the map version agnostic identifiers are coded using at least one coding function. A bloom filter having the coded map version agnostic identifiers as members is generated. The bloom filter is provided such that a mobile apparatus receives the bloom filter.
