  • Patent number: 6619278
Abstract: A projectile assembly that enables a compressed gas powered projectile to be fired from a traditional ammunition firearm. The projectile assembly includes a casing that is shaped like the casing of traditional ammunition. A projectile is set into the tip of the casing. Within the casing is located a compressed gas cartridge. The projectile assembly is loaded into the breech of a traditional firearm. Once the firearm is fired, the firing pin of the firearm strikes a piercing pin within the casing. The piercing pin, in turn, strikes and pierces the compressed gas cartridge. The gas pressure displaces the projectile from the tip of the casing and propels the projectile down and out the barrel of the firearm. The casing is designed so that a new compressed cartridge can be placed in the casing and the projectile replaced.

  • Patent number: 6619238
Abstract: An animal leash system includes at least two ropes which can serve as leads. One of the ropes is relatively short and is used as a heeling lead. A plurality of rope clamps are adapted for friction fit about the ropes to facilitate binding of end portions of the rope allowing for various leash configurations. The clamps also facilitate coupling of the ropes to produce a double lead arrangement. A slip ring allows for use without a collar in one configuration of the leash system, while a clip secured to an end portion of the leash allows for attachment to a typical collar in another configuration. The proximal end of the leash may be formed into a handle to allow a user to hold the leash.

  • Patent number: 6606932
Abstract: The invention provides a method and apparatus for neutralizing mines and obstacles that can quickly and efficiently clear a specified surf zone without human intervention. In a preferred embodiment, the invention utilizes firing tubes including a combustion chamber, a mechanism for supplying an aluminum fuel to the combustion chamber; and an ignitor for igniting the aluminum fuel within said combustion chamber to generate pressure waves. The firing tubes arranged in arrays located on sides of a main body of an autonomous vehicle. Activation of the firing tubes on a rear side of the main body is utilized in a preferred embodiment to propel the vehicle forward. Forward propagating pressure waves generated by firing tubes arranged on forward facing first and second sides of the main body are utilized to destroy mines and other obstructions located within a selected surf area.

  • Patent number: 6598333
Abstract: A scope mounting system includes a one or two-piece base and a plurality of scope support assemblies. Mating portions of the base and scope support assemblies have parallel v-notches engaged with parallel flat lands to set the position of each support assembly relative to the sighting direction of a weapon to which the base is attached. The “flat land to v-notch” interengagement guarantees that the flat portions of all v-notches will engage one another to prevent movement along the weapon's sighting direction. Each scope support assembly clamps to the base in a way that prevents movement thereof in a two-dimensional plan perpendicular to the weapon's sighting direction.

  • Patent number: 6591536
Abstract: This laser-sighting system can be constructed as a compact side module for use with a revolver or automatic pistol. Features on the side of the firearm such as the yoke screw and the other side plate screws of a revolver are used to secure this laser-sighting system in a favorable location on the side of the firearm frame above the trigger guard forward of the grip, but behind the leading edge of the firearm's trigger guard. The takedown pins or slide stops found in this same location on many automatic pistols can also be used for this purpose. The system uses a very thin self-contained laser-sighting module that does not interfere with the holstering, concealment, or handling of the firearm. The system can also contain a white light or colored LED for illumination and communication.
