  • Patent number: 6553941
Abstract: An improved squeegee with integral nozzle and wiping blade for the washing and grooming of animals, especially large animals such as horses and other livestock, includes a body portion, a valve to regulate the flow of water, a nozzle oriented to direct a spray of water generally perpendicularly downwards relative to the body, and an arcuate wiping blade. The arcuate shape of the wiping blade enables it to be oriented relative to the surface being cleaned so that the curvature of the blade conforms to the shape of the surface. The apparatus is connected to a supply of water such as a garden hose, such that when it is drawn across the animal's body, water from the nozzle wets the animal's coat, and the wiping blade then removes water, soap, and dirt.

  • Patent number: 6550419
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an improved system for the packaging, presentation, and delivery of a semi-solid arthropod diet, for the feeding or oviposition of arthropods. The arthropod diet delivery system of the invention has a diet-filled reservoir covered with a stretchable membrane, wherein the reservoir membrane has a plurality of stretched, thinned outwardly projecting areas thereon (feeding protrusions) which are filled with the semi-solid diet. The interior of a protrusion is in fluid communication with the diet-filled reservoir. The arthropod diet delivery system may optionally further include stretched, thinned inwardly projecting areas in the stretchable reservoir membrane (intrusions), which are particularly advantageous as oviposition sites for certain arthropods. The invention is also directed to methods of making the arthropod diet delivery system wherein the protrusions are substantially simultaneously created and filled with diet.

  • Patent number: 6532948
Abstract: A toy rocket set that includes a rocket and a launcher for the rocket that utilizes compressed air to launch the rocket. The upper end of the launch tube has an end cap secured thereupon by a threaded connection. An annular elastomeric element is retained between the end cap and the launch tube body. As the end cap is tightened onto the launch tube body, the elastomeric element is compressed resulting in an adjustable frictional engagement with a radially enlarged nose cone on the rocket. The centerpoint of the parachute is secured by a tether to a removable link in the rocket body. The removable link is retained within the rocket body by a slidable rod. During flight, when the rocket inverts, the rod slides within the rocket body to release the link and permit the parachute to deploy to an open position.

  • Patent number: 6532949
Abstract: An electro-pneumatically operated kit assembly is provided for connection to a paint ball gun body, the kit assembly having a trigger initiating a programmed electrical control unit which actuates a first solenoid valve to move a hammer to open an air distribution path to allow pressurized air into the barrel to fire a paint ball sitting within the barrel of the gun body. The first solenoid valve then closes and a second solenoid valve opens to move a bolt away from the path of projectile storage path to release the next single paint ball into the barrel to await another trigger actuation. The first solenoid valve controls the movement of the hammer while the second solenoid valve controls the movement of the bolt so that the hammer and bolt move independently from each other.
