Abstract: An ammunition cartridge for an air gun includes a housing, a partition, a cap, at least one projectile, and at least one gas flow aperture. The housing defines an interior space. The housing has a rear portion and a forward portion. The partition is disposed in the interior space and engaged with the rear portion. The cap is releasably engaged with the forward portion. The at least one projectile is received in the interior space between the partition and the cap. The at least one gas flow aperture extends through the partition and provides a fluid flow path through which a pressurized gas provided by the air gun enters and pressurizes the interior space to propel the cartridge through a barrel bore of the air gun.
Abstract: A handguard assembly includes a handguard and a key. The handguard includes a receiver surface that faces toward a receiver of an associated firearm and a muzzle surface that faces toward a muzzle of an associated barrel of the associated firearm and in an opposite direction as the receiver surface. The handguard extends between the receiver surface and the muzzle surface so as to define a longitudinal direction. The handguard defines a key bore extending in the longitudinal direction from the receiver surface toward the muzzle surface. The key is received in the key bore of the handguard so as to be surrounded by the handguard such that the key is concealed from view when the handguard is installed on the associated firearm.
Abstract: In some examples, a charge holder for a grenade has an envelope made from one or more layers of a sheet material to define an interior volume to receive a charge having a charge volume less than or equal to the interior volume and a neck configured to connect to a flashbang grenade body, wherein a ratio of a charge volume of the interior volume to an envelope material volume is about 5.0 or greater.

Abstract: A packaging arrangement for 30 mm×173 mm ammunition rounds. The packaging arrangement has a heavy duty standoff device of defined height, which standoff device mounts a very high strength support plate and a heavy duty restraining plate. The support plate has through holes (of diameter slightly less than the rounds defined maximum diameter) to hold the rounds of in an upside down position and from sliding/moving. The height of the standoff device keeps the rounds from being able to touch the bottom of the metal box. The restraining plate has multiple recessed areas sized to accommodate the back ends of the said rounds. The packaging arrangement is lowered into a metal box with handles for carriage purposes. On top, there are Homosite filler pads, and the box accommodates a top lid.

Abstract: An example simulated weapon includes a delayed trigger and a pellet ejector. The delayed trigger includes a chamber and a piston slidable between armed and triggering positions. A spring biases the piston towards the triggering position. A locking member releasably locks the piston in the armed position. Release of the piston by the locking member causes the spring to move the piston from the armed position to the triggering position. The pellet ejector is coupled to the delay trigger to be triggered by the delay trigger in the triggering position. The pellet ejector includes a pressure chamber to receive a pressurized fluid and a pellet chamber to receive pellets. A valve is disposed between the pressure chamber and the pellet chamber communicates pressure from the pressure chamber to the pellet chamber. A barrel that extends through the pressure chamber is connected to the pellet chamber to eject the pellets.
Abstract: A system for improving firearm safety is provided. The system comprises a firearm with a trigger mechanism for firing and a trigger safety member proximate the trigger to prevent accidental firing. The system also comprises a locking assembly associated with the trigger mechanism and safety member comprising a transceiver that receives a message from a remote wireless device. The locking assembly further comprises a motor that activates based on processing of the message received by the transceiver. The locking assembly further comprises an eccentric that executes a first turning motion based on action of the motor.
Abstract: An assembly for directing propellant gas to an action of a firearm includes a barrel and a gas block. The barrel has a plurality of gas ports that communicate with the bore of the barrel. The barrel and the gas block define a passage that receives pressurized propellant gas from the bore by way of the barrel gas ports, and directs the propellant gas to a gas port of the gas block. The plurality of barrel gas ports and the passage act as a manifold in which the propellant gas is taken from multiple locations within the barrel, combined into a single flow, and directed into the gas block via the gas block gas port. The pressurized gas is then routed to an action of the firearm by way of a gas tube and a gas key.
Abstract: A system for improving firearm safety is provided comprising a firearm comprising a trigger mechanism for discharging the firearm, a trigger safety member to prevent accidental discharging of the firearm, and an electronic housing contained in a pistol grip of the firearm. The housing receives a message from a mobile device, determines that the message contains an instruction associated with an owner of the firearm, and transmits, based on the instruction, a command regarding the trigger safety member. The electronic housing transmits the command along an internal cable to a motor embedded in the trigger mechanism and receives the message via a transceiver component of the electronic housing. The motor, based on the command, turns an eccentric component to one of block and unblock the trigger safety member. The electronic housing further comprises an externally visible LED indicating one of engaged and disengaged status of the eccentric component.
Abstract: An illumination device for a firearm may include a housing supporting multiple lamps. A switch actuator of the device is rotationally coupled to a rear end of the housing. A cam is coupled to the switch actuator, such that the cam rotates with the actuator, the cam having a first end including a magnet and a second end having a shaped cam surface configured to interface with a cam follower. The actuator and the cam are biased toward a neutral position. Selective rotation of the cam causes a magnet of the cam to operate one or more magnetic switches. The cam is transitionable between a plurality of discrete positions, e.g., including a pair of toggle positions in the first rotational direction from the neutral position, and a pair of momentary positions disposed on the cam in the second rotational direction from the neutral position.
