Abstract: A co-user list may be configured based on user interaction in a virtual world environment. A first user may be enabled to navigate the virtual world environment using an instant messenger application that includes the co-user list. A second user that is located proximate to the first user in the virtual world environment may be detected. An attribute associated with the second user may be determined. The co-user list may be configured based on the attribute associated with the second user.

Abstract: A retail vendor application installed on a user device receives configuration parameters for a user interface button that can be used by a user of the device to purchase an item available for consumption. The application determines, based at least in part on the configuration parameters, an activity trigger that, if detected, causes the application to present the button to the user. The application monitors sensors and applications on the user device to obtain data that can be used to detect the activity trigger. In response to detection of the activity trigger, the application updates an interface of the user device to present the button. If the user selects the button, the application generates a purchase request for the item that is sent to a retail vendor service for processing.
Abstract: A system and method for communicating a multimedia presentation between a presenter and an audience is described. Services provided via a network facilitate the communication, and include real-time determination of remaining portions of a presentation responsive to “on the fly” presentation modifications, automated filtering and prioritization of audience feedback to a presenter, and integration with one or more customer data resources.
Abstract: An information terminal includes: a display section; a display control section; a touch panel; a gesture detecting section that detects, when the display control section allows the display section to display images in three or more split regions of a display screen, a pinch-out gesture of spreading two fingers touching respective adjacent two of the three or more split regions; and a region setting section that makes, upon detection of the pinch-out gesture, a setting that the adjacent two split regions are aligned along directions of the pinch-out gesture and that the display screen is split into two split regions to be exclusively placed therewithin. The display control section allows an enlarged display of the images of the split regions subjected to the pinch-out gesture in the split regions set by the region setting section and avoids a display of the images of the other one or more split regions.
Abstract: A touch-sensitive graphical user interface (GUI) may include a touch screen configured to display a graphical user interface including an arrangement of one or more virtual widgets, each virtual widget having a shape and including one or more user interface elements displayed via the graphical user interface. The arrangement of the one or more virtual widgets is configurable. A microcontroller may be configured to sense a touch at the touch screen, identify a virtual widget corresponding with the touch, and initiate an action including at least one of (a) controlling an actuator to provide haptic feedback at an area of the touch screen on which the identified virtual widget is displayed or (b) controlling an electronic device associated with the user interface system.
Abstract: This disclosure concerns an interactive head-mounted eyepiece with an integrated processor for handling content for display and an integrated image source for introducing the content to an optical assembly through which the user views a surrounding environment and the displayed content, wherein the eyepiece includes predictive control of external device based on an event input.

Abstract: A breathing apparatus has one or more electronic processors and a touch screen communicatively coupled to at least one of the processors. The processor is configured to provide a user interface on the touch screen for modification of at least one operational parameter of the breathing apparatus. The user interface includes at least two touch sensitive display areas on the display area of the touch screen for modification of the operational parameter by an operator of the breathing apparatus. Each of the two touch sensitive display areas is dedicated for different types of user interaction, i.e. different user interaction modes are provided for by each of the two different display areas.

Abstract: Systems and methods for changing the orientation of information displayed on a display device mounted on a control pedestal at a position between two seats. One method involves changing the orientation of information displayed on a display device located on a control pedestal of an aircraft so that, instead of sub-optimal joint viewing of the displayed information by two pilots, an individual pilot may be able to read the displayed information more easily. The system enables either pilot to select a respective more optimal orientation for the displayed information for individual viewing. Each pilot may separately then quickly switch the display mode back to the “up is forward” orientation for joint viewing. Returning to the “up is forward” orientation may also be set to occur as a function of time.
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating and maintaining digital story progress bars may include (1) providing an interface that displays posts within a series of different digital stories, (2) displaying, within the interface, a progress bar including (i) a current-story section associated with a story-indicator corresponding to a current story whose posts are currently being displayed, and (ii) an upcoming-story section associated with a subsequent story-indicator corresponding to an upcoming story queued for display after the current story, (3) transitioning from displaying the posts of the current story to displaying the posts of the upcoming story, and (4) in response to displaying the posts of the upcoming story (i) altering the current-story section by replacing the story-indicator with the subsequent story-indicator and (ii) altering the upcoming-story section by replacing the subsequent story-indicator with a post-subsequent story-indicator corresponding to an additional upcoming story.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for searching and filtering media content, comprising presenting, with the aid of a computer processor, a first media stream from a previous filtering result. The first media stream may be generated from content aggregated from a plurality of different sources over a network. Two or more graphical elements associated with two or more content filter panels may be provided in a user interface for filtering the first media stream. The two or more content filter panels may comprise at least a first panel for filtering by media source and a second panel for filtering by social tag. A navigational gesture may be received on the user interface indicating a selection of a content filter panel. A second media stream may then be generated in response to a selection of an item provided by the selected content filter panel.
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing interaction between a user device and an interactive display system using near field communications are provided. The interactive display system includes a display panel configured to present visual content and near field communication (NFC) devices behind or within the display panel. The interactive display system detects a user device adjacent to the display panel using at least one of the NFC devices. The interactive display system determines a position relative to the display panel for the user device. The interactive display system exchanges data with the user device based on the position. The interactive display system may receive data that includes displayable information from the user device and present the displayable information on the display panel at or near the position for the user device. The interactive display system may simultaneously interact with more than one user device.

Abstract: Designing and previewing web pages include accepting user input to select a customer segment and a first point in time in a time frame of a time line; displaying a representation of components of a web page visible over the time frame according to visibility rules, the selected customer segment, and the first point in time; accepting user input to select a second point in time in the time frame; and displaying the representation of components of the web page visible over the time frame according to the visibility rules, the selected customer segment, and the second point in time.
Abstract: Computer-implemented methods for allowing users to specify interactive graphical designs are provided. The graphical designs can comprise multiple dimension versions—such as a tablet dimension version or a phone dimension version. Some of the methods involve an inheritance structure that defines a first dimension version of the design as a child of a second dimension version of the design. Specifications for properties of widgets in the graphical design are applied to the design in accordance with the inheritance specification. Some of the methods involve an inheritance characterization that determines how properties of a widget are affected by the inheritance structure across different dimension versions. Some of the methods involve an existence property for the widgets.
