    Abstract: A modularly constructed, trailerable, skid mounted, multi-compartmented concrete mixer and cement storage silo having a plurality of longitudinally aligned, bottom mounted, driven feed chains. In a combination construction, a single motor is cooperatively coupled to the feed chains of each mixer compartment and the feed chain of the cement silo to feed the cement/sand/aggregate in metered quantities to a turreted, separately powered auger where water is added and along the length of which the concrete is mixed. A silo vent column includes a plurality of fabric collection filters and means for vibrationally removing and reclaiming the cement. Air infiltration ports mounted along the bottom of the cement silo and one or more vibrators mounted to the mixer adjacent the sand and aggregate bins prevents crusting. Alternatively, the silo may be self-powered, and/or the mixer and silo may be transported independent of one another and/or without the trailer.

    Abstract: The apparatus includes a frame in which a vessel is mounted. Water is delivered into the vessel through one inlet, polymer is delivered into the vessel through a second inlet, and a further liquid is delivered into the vessel through a further inlet. A pulsating pump delivers the polymer to the vessel and a continuously operated pump delivers the further liquid into the vessel. Either pump can be energized separately or both pumps can be energized depending upon the situation. For example, the polymer pump is energized when it is desired to deliver an emulsion polymer to the vessel and the other pump is energized when one wants to deliver a solution polymer.

When the channel (2) is oscillating about the drive shaft (A-B) said rod (12) imports a back and forth movement to the sliding element (9) and thus to the arm extension (3) and to the wiper blade (not shown). Solid anti-friction means are provided between the sliding element (9) and the channel (2). The solid anti-friction means may consist of a plastic sheath (13), or of a ball bearing, or of a roller bearing, etc.

    Abstract: A dual-spindle blender includes a container having two intersecting lobes forming a figure-eight cross section with a cutter blade assembly disposed centered in each lobe. The bottom of one of the lobes is lower than that of the other lobe so that, when small quantities of material are treated, it preferentially falls into the lower bottom to produce a deeper pool which can be operated on by the associated cutter blade assembly. In one embodiment of the invention, the cutter blade assemblies are at the same height and are spaced with their planes of rotation non-intersecting. In another embodiment of the invention, the cutter blade assemblies are displaced in height, whereby the blades are offset from each other. In this embodiment the offset of the blade heights optionally permits their planes of rotation to intersect without suffering blade strikes.

    Abstract: A container lid can be used for open-mouthed containers having a peripheral curl about the rim of the container. This peripheral curl defines a rim receiving cavity which may be snap fit over the rim of the container to attach the lid to the container. The container may thereafter be effectively closed by the lid. This lid may additionally have a central web portion for providing support for the lid and a drink-through element having a raised element within a well portion of this drink-through element. By applying a downward force to a top surface of the raised element, eye-shaped slits may be formed at frangible areas adjacent the corners of this element. These eye-shaped slits permit contents within the container to be discharged therethrough. For instance, a beverage may be held in the container. After applying a downward force to the raised element to form slits in the container lid, the beverage may be ingested directly through the lid.
