Abstract: An apparatus and method of inducing black soldier flies to emerge, mate and lay eggs is provided. The method involves exposing at least one male black soldier fly and at least one female black soldier fly to artificial light in an enclosed space The artificial light includes at least one wavelength in a visible spectrum and at least one wavelength in an ultraviolet spectrum.

Abstract: A storage rack with a spring device has a bracket constructed to be fixed to a vertical surface, and a frame oriented substantially parallel to the vertical surface which is pivotably connected to the bracket. The bracket and the frame have one or more attachment locations for pivotably connecting to opposite ends of the spring device. The frame has at least one mounting location for releasably attaching at least one object support. The spring device is constructed to generate a lift force to deploy the frame and an object supported by the at least one object support to a substantially horizontal storage position. The lift force may be tuned by adjusting the connection of the spring device between the pivotable connections with the bracket or the frame.

Abstract: A pen support rack for securing pens and preventing unauthorized access comprises a support member defining a rack body having a base, a trunk, and a plurality of branches and an integrated fingerprint scanner. Each branch includes a locking loop for receiving the body of a conventional pen, with its clip secured over the loop so that the pen hangs from the locking loop. Each locking loop is operative to selectively lock a pen inside through operation of an integrated electromagnet. Thus when an authorized user seeks to secure a pen to the pen support rack or remove one from the pen support rack, the user would place his finger on the fingerprint scanner. If the fingerprint is accepted by the fingerprint scanner, a signal is sent to the microcontroller causing it to toggle the provision of electricity to the electromagnets on the locking loops.

Abstract: A display rack including a support, one or more bracket attached to the support and merchandise supports, such as shelves, supported by each bracket. The support may be a vertical support and a plurality of bracket mounting locations may be spaced vertically along the support. Each bracket may include adjoined first and second beams. The beams may be adjoined proximate the inner ends and extend to free outer ends. Each beam may include a leading side which faces in a common forward clockwise or counterclockwise direction about the support. Each shelf may be secured with respect to the leading side of each beam and may extend from the leading side in the forward direction. The brackets and shelves may be configured to present merchandise entirely around the rack for improved merchandise visibility and accessibility.

Abstract: An exemplary equipment support system includes a pair of U-shaped tubular arms spaced apart from one another and in a generally equivalent horizontal position. The apparatus comprises an elongated part with an adjustable mechanism configured to fit inside a fishing rod holder. At least two lateral supports opposing parallel members with an adjustable mechanism and extendable middle sections are combined to support the sporting equipment thereon.

Abstract: A system for performing computing operations includes a rack that rests on a floor and a stabilization device coupled on the top of the rack. The stabilization device includes a mounting portion coupled to the rack, a ballast member, and one or more spring devices coupled between the ballast member and the mounting portion. The ballast member reduces displacement of the rack from seismic loads transmitted from the floor to the rack to mitigate effects of the seismic loads on the rack.

Abstract: A lid holding device for supporting a pot lid off of a countertop while cooking in order to prevent creating a mess thereon. The lid holding device includes a pair of elongated rods, wherein each elongated rod is preferably configured as a J-shape. The elongated rods are parallel to one another and include a first end and a second end. The first ends are angled upwards and able to receive an inverted lid thereon so as to allow a user to avoid having to place the lid on a countertop. The lid holding device further includes a single mount having a pair of channels disposed thereon. The second end of the elongated rods are disposed within the channels in order to maintain a parallel position. The device can be secured to a support surface by inserting a fastener through the support surface and into the upper side of the mount.

Abstract: A display assembly is provided with a base, and a plurality of receptacles supported by the base. Each of the plurality of receptacles is sized to receive a plurality of cards. Each of the plurality of receptacles has a distal end with an opening for display, receipt and removal of at least one of the plurality of cards and a proximal end to provide a limit to a depth of receipt for the plurality of cards within the receptacle. Each receptacle is oriented such that a direction from the distal end to the proximal end is angularly offset from vertical about a fore/aft axis relative to the base for customer access of at least one of the plurality of cards. Multiple arrays of receptacles are provided with a central array having a quantity of receptacles that is different than the other arrays to create a non-rectangular overall profile.

Abstract: A merchandise display support that can be adjusted to accommodate and showcase a wide variety of merchandise has a base and a hollow slatwall tower rising from the base that is fabricated from a plurality of individual layers. The individual layers may be of any suitable geometry, including waves, curves and other artistic shapes. Each layer is produced individually and defines an outer periphery of material preferably surrounding a hollow interior. The layers are stacked and secured to adjacent layers to create slatwall grooves that yields a three-dimensional slatwall display rack that can take nearly any contour or geometry. Illumination sources may be provided within the slatwall grooves and are protected by the geometry of the grooves from contact or interference with slatwall merchandising hooks and are not directly visible to a customer. The tower top may also have lights to illuminate the merchandise.

Abstract: A multi-component divider including a first divider component and a connection mechanism for a second divider component. The second divider component connects to the first divider component when the first divider component is connected to a base. The second divider component extends above the first divider component, thereby extending the overall height of the divider. The base and multi-component divider can be used in locations where there is limited space between shelves, such as a shelf in a freezer or refrigerated display, or in any application where a higher divider may be preferred, but cannot be installed. The base can additionally include a pusher moveable along a longitudinal direction of the base, wherein the pusher is also adjustable linearly along a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the base.

Abstract: The present invention provides a display system for flat articles generally including a rack, one or more carriers, and a plurality of flat articles. The rack comprises a plurality of vertical rack supports and a plurality of horizontal rack supports forming bays between the vertical rack supports. The one or more carriers have an upper mounting bracket, a lower mounting bracket, a pair of upright members, and at least one pair of support members, and are attached to upper and lower horizontal rack supports within each bay. The pair of upright members are coupled to each of the upper and lower mounting brackets in a horizontally spaced-apart manner, and the pair of support members extends between the pair of upright members in a vertically spaced-apart manner. The plurality of flat articles may be slidably engaged with the pair of support members so that a front surface is exposed for viewing.

Abstract: A foodware storage system includes a storage rack, a hook assembly, and a foodware item. The storage rack includes a rod having an adjustable length coupled between a first support and a second support to maintain the rod in an elevated position above a surface upon which the storage rack is placed. The rod is disconnectably connected to at least one of the supports. The hook assembly includes a hanger and a hook. The hook is suspended from the hanger and the hanger is configured to slidably move along the adjustable length of the rod. The foodware item has an aperture dimensioned to receive the hook such that the foodware item can be hung from the hook to dry when wet.

Abstract: A snap-in card top riser is provided having a riser and a display module. The riser has a hook profile that is adapted to be received into a channel on the display module so that the riser is secured to the display module in a manner that restricts removal of the riser from the display module. The channel has one or more tabs that are configured to cause the hook profile to compress while the tabs are engaging with the hook profile. The hook profile, once fully received into the channel, returns to an original or uncompressed position to prevent removal of the hook profile from the channel.

Abstract: A shelf for a modular shelving system includes a frame having a rectangular configuration. A front shelf member has a first end portion and an opposite second end portion. A rear shelf member is positioned parallel with the front shelf member and has a first end portion and an opposite second end portion. A first side shelf member is coupled to and extends between the front shelf member first end portion and the rear shelf member first end portion. A second side shelf member is coupled to and extends between the front shelf member second end portion and the rear shelf member second end portion. A cross-member extends between and is removably coupled to the first side shelf member and the second side shelf member. One or more support assemblies are removably coupled to the cross-member and reconfigurable to facilitate supporting a plurality of different dunnage.

Abstract: A merchandising security system includes a support adapted to be secured to a first associated merchandising structure and at least one product barrier movably mounted to the support. The at least one product barrier extends away from the support so as to approach a second associated merchandising structure spaced from the first associated merchandising structure. The product barrier is at least one of slidably mounted in relation to the support and pivotably mounted in relation to the support, wherein the product barrier includes first and second members which cooperate to retard a forward movement of an associated object supported on the first associated merchandising structure. At least one of the first and second members is mounted in relation to the support via a hinge.

Abstract: A storage rack may include a plurality of sections for holding a respective plurality of items. A first section may include, for example, a first vertical support, a second vertical support substantially parallel to the first vertical support, and a first set of horizontal supports substantially perpendicular to the first vertical support and the second vertical support. The first set of horizontal supports may include a first horizontal support disposed at a first height and a first depth in the first vertical support, and a second horizontal support disposed at the first height and the first depth in the second vertical support. The first horizontal support may extend from an inner wall of the first vertical support towards the second vertical support for a distance that is less than half of the distance between the first vertical support and the second vertical support.

Abstract: A portable washing and drying apparatus useful for washing and drying baby bottle components and other baby-feeding accessories in limited spaces. The apparatus has a flexible membrane to place baby-feeding accessories so that the apparatus can lie in sink basins that have a variety of sizes and shapes. The membrane has a plurality of interspersed holes and a plurality of projections to hold accessories. The membrane may have vertical partitions that separate the flexible membrane into drying and washing regions. The membrane is supported by at least two frame members secured to opposing sides of the membrane and can be spatially adjusted from each other. In one configuration, the frame members have hooks that extend therefrom and attach to an external support, such as a towel bar. In another configuration, the frame members are connected by a chain and hook, so that the apparatus can hang from a shower rod.

Abstract: The cup holder assembly adapted to retain an object includes a retainer formed of a flexible material. The retainer includes a first upper edge, a first bottom wall, and a first side wall. The first upper edge defines a first open end having a diameter larger than the diameter of the first bottom wall. The first side wall extends between the first bottom wall and the first upper edge to define a frustoconical shape. The first side wall deforms outwardly upon insertion of the object to provide frictional resistance to retain an upright orientation of the object.

Abstract: A bottle rack assembly selectively supports one or more bottles. The bottle rack assembly includes a first support structure defining a first opening and a second support structure defining a second opening. The bottle rack assembly includes a support shelf that is received within the first opening of the first support structure and within the second opening of the second support structure such that the support shelf is supported between the first support structure and the second support structure. The support shelf includes a first support platform extending along a first support direction that is substantially perpendicular to a first direction and a second direction along which the first support structure and the second support structure extend. The first support platform defines a first support channel defined within a first upper surface of the first support platform.
