  • Patent number: 9475665
Abstract: A paper roll holding structure for use in a printer includes two side plates to guide a paper roll. Each side plate has a guide surface opposing an opposite side surface of the paper roll. Holding members are arranged in the paper roll holding structure to hold the paper roll. Each holding member has a first end to be inserted into an axial hole of the paper roll and a second end formed at the opposite side of the first end. Also, support members are arranged on the guide surfaces of the side plates to restrain the holding members from moving downwards from a substantially vertical position. The support members are further configured to support the second ends of the holding members in such a manner as to allow the holding members to swing upwards.

  • Patent number: 9469272
Abstract: A motor vehicle seat belt retractor having load limiting features for controlling seat belt restraint loads for a retractor having a spool for storing belt webbing and rotatable with respect to a retractor frame, and a locking mechanism for locking the spool to provide vehicle occupant restraint. A load limiting element coupled with the spool limits restraint loading of the seat belt webbing upon locking of the spool. A rotational displacement limiting mechanism limits the displacement of the load limiting element, the limiting mechanism having a cam forming a spiral flight rotatable with the load limiting element and a cam follower engaging the spiral flight. The cam and the cam follower interengage to reach an end position preventing further relative angular displacement beyond a predetermined angular displacement of the load limiting element. Embodiments provide various configurations for the cam and cam follower elements.

  • Patent number: 9463965
Abstract: A pulling tool is provided with a rotatable drum having a cable wound thereon. A motor is drivingly connected to the rotatable drum and the rotatable drum and motor are disposed within a unique housing structure. The rotatable drum is driven by a planetary gear system that is disposed within the rotatable drum to provide a compact assembly. A belt and pulley system is provided for delivering torque from the motor to the planetary gear system. The rotatable drum is provided with a two-piece stepped construction that allows the planetary gear system to be assembled within the drum and allows for the initial wraps of a cable around the smaller diameter portion of the stepped drum.

  • Patent number: 9409546
Abstract: A device for retracting a seatbelt, having a shaft and main drive spring which prestresses the shaft in a retracting direction of the seatbelt, and a locking wheel rotatably arranged relative to the shaft, and a blocking device with a locking lever for blocking a rotational movement of the locking wheel in the retracting direction, and a compensating spring arranged such that when the locking wheel is blocked, said compensating spring transmits to the shaft a prestressing force counteracting the prestressing force of the main drive spring. • Patent number: 9409747
Abstract: An electronic device cover provides a protective cover for an electronic device and also extends and retracts a plurality of audio and data transfer modules at varying speeds and lengths. The electronic device cover is configured and shaped to receive myriad types and models of electronic devices. A proximal end of a communication cord extends from the electronic device cover to provide communication modules such as ear buds, or head phones to a user. A distal, shorter end of the same cord extends more slowly and at a slower speed from a different end of the electronic device cover to provide connections to the more proximal electronic device, power sources, and other electronic ports. The cords extend at different speeds and lengths due to a differential affect.

  • Patent number: 9358950
Abstract: In a placement face of which a general face is configured with a circular cone shape, restriction faces are formed. When a sensor ball rolls along an axial direction of rotating shafts, the sensor ball accordingly contacts one of the restriction faces or another of the restriction faces. From this state, in order for the sensor ball to roll further along the axial direction of the rotating shafts, the sensor ball has to rise up the one of the restriction faces or the other of the restriction faces that respectively have a larger angle of incline than the general face. By contrast, in order for the sensor ball to roll in directions orthogonal to the axial direction of the rotating shafts as seen in plan view, the sensor ball only has to roll over the general face.

  • Patent number: 9333943
Abstract: A restriction rotating body is provided at a carrier plate, on the opposite side of a sun gear to a planet gear. When an internal-toothed gear is displaced together with a sensor gear in the rotation radial direction thereof, the internal-toothed gear presses a shaft portion of the restriction rotating body, and further, a gear portion of the restriction rotating body presses the sun gear. Due thereto, the amount of relative displacement of the internal-toothed gear with respect to the sun gear can accordingly be reduced. Moreover, since the restriction rotating body does not mesh with the internal-toothed gear, the restriction rotating body can be easily assembled after assembly of the planet gear. The planet gear can accordingly be easily assembled prior to assembly of the restriction rotating body.

In one form, a rotation sensor includes a magnet in which N-pole magnets and S-pole magnets are arranged alternately and circularly and that rotates in conjunction with the rotation of a spool, and first and second Hall elements and that are disposed apart from each other in the circumferential direction of the magnet and detect the poles of the N-pole magnets and S-pole magnets. In that case, the first and second Hall elements and are both unipolar detection type Hall elements that detect only the S-pole. The magnetization width of the S-pole magnets is set large, and the magnetization width of the N-pole magnets is set small.

  • Patent number: 9315359
Abstract: A core intended to support a reel of paper, particularly toilet paper, is formed by winding at least one web of cellulose wadding. The core is formed by winding at least one web of cellulose wadding having at least 0.51 g of water-soluble material per gram of cellulose wadding, the water-soluble material being designed to make the web of cellulose wadding more rigid and easier to disintegrate. Thus configured, the core that has both mechanical strength fit for the intended purpose and is far easier to disintegrate than a core made of cardboard such that it can be disposed of directly in a toilet bowl without the risk of blocking the waste pipe.

  • Patent number: 9290363
Abstract: A beam for use in construction equipment is made from tailor welded panels. At least one of the panels is made from at least two pieces of material such as steel welded together with the weld running the length of the beam. The weld between pieces of steel can either be parallel to the longitudinal axis of the beam, or the pieces can be tapered and the weld will be at an angle diverging from the longitudinal axis of the beam. The two pieces of material have a different compressive strength per unit of length in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis of the beam. In some embodiments a top panel is welded to two side panels to form two top corners of the beam and a bottom panel is welded to the two side panels to form two bottom corners of the beam.

  • Patent number: 9221425
Abstract: A webbing retractor has a clutch mechanism including a lock member; a clutch cover, and a clutch guide that is positioned between the clutch cover and a spool. The clutch guide is capable of relatively rotating between an unactuated position and an actuated position with respect to the clutch cover, the clutch guide being engaged with a trigger member positioned on a side of the spool and being normally held in the unactuated position. A spring is provided in a compressed state between the clutch cover and the clutch guide, and a pawl is positioned between the clutch cover and the clutch guide, and engages with the ring unit when the trigger member disengages from the clutch guide. An axial-direction separation restricting mechanism restricts axial-direction separation between the clutch cover and the clutch guide while allowing the relative rotation between the clutch cover and the clutch guide.
