Embodiments include identifying, by the router, a rule related to the TCP or UDP packet. Embodiments include forwarding, by the router, the packet to an interface of a kernel based on the rule. Embodiments include receiving, by the performance component, in response to the TCP or UDP packet, an additional packet from the interface of the kernel. Embodiments include determining, by the performance component, a performance metric based on the TCP or UDP packet and the additional packet.

Abstract: The present web-based system and methods enabled by an application executable on a computing device of the system allow subscribers to develop a private circle and interactive family & friends tree within a private social network, and to schedule delivery of selected content to a designated recipient, either on a future date or upon occurrence of a future event having a date unknown to the subscriber. The system may determine a delivery date for the selected content, even if no date is specified by the subscriber, based on data obtained from other subscribers to the private circle and/or machine learning analysis, and may validate the delivery date before delivering the content. The system may enable parent subscribers to the private circle to add newborn and/or unborn children to the private circle, and may enable subscribers to prepare a digital will and integrate the will with the subscriber's account in the private circle.

The method includes selecting a representation from a manifest which expresses a set of representations available for each chunk of the video asset and generating a dynamic manifest for the video asset in which the representation selected for the at least one chunk is recommended for streaming to the client device. The selection of the representation recommended for the chunk may be based on at least one of historic viewing behavior of previous viewers of the chunk, content analysis information for the chunk, a level of available network bandwidth, a level of available network storage, and data rate utilization information of network resources including current, average, peak, and minimum data rate of network resources.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to a delayed presentation of authentication challenge for users, such as in the context of a chat session. In various embodiments, a server system receives an indication of a request for service initiated by a user in a chat session within an application executed by a client device. The request for service involves an authentication of the user that is dependent on the authentication being successfully completed within a particular time period after the authentication is initiated. The server system delays the initiation of authentication for the request for service until a readiness condition is satisfied. The readiness condition includes the server system being available to process the request for service, as well as subsequently detecting engagement with the user relating to the request for service. In response to the readiness condition being satisfied, the server system initiates the authentication of the user.

Abstract: Many hybrid cloud topologies require virtual machines in a public cloud to use a router in a private cloud, even when the virtual machine is transmitting to another virtual machine in the public cloud. Routing data through an enterprise router on the private cloud via the internet is generally inefficient. This problem can be overcome by placing a router within the public cloud that mirrors much of the routing functionality of the enterprise router. A switch configured to intercept address resolution protocol (ARP) request for the enterprise router's address and fabricate a response using the MAC address of the router in the public cloud.

Abstract: A method of delivering an orphan delivery receipt for a mobile-terminated message to a messaging platform from which the mobile-terminated message originated. A network of data exchange connectors is deployed, wherein each data exchange connector is associated with a messaging platform. When one of the messaging platforms receives a delivery receipt it cannot reconcile, the delivery receipt is replicated to all data exchange connectors. The data exchange connector associated with the messaging platform from which the mobile-terminated message originated identifies and consumes the delivery receipt based on predefined filtering criteria. The data exchange connector publishes the delivery receipt to the originator messaging platform. The originator messaging platform correlates the delivery receipt with the mobile-terminated message and posts the delivery receipt to a corresponding enterprise customer.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide for synergistic domain name system DNS security updates for an enterprise network operating under a Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN). A system may be configured to collect positive and/or negative unified threat defense (UTD) results, deploy a rules-based model that, when a threat or clearance is detected across several SD-WAN edge network devices, triggers an update to a local security blacklist/whitelist, wherein the update comprises a signature, and push the update to other devices that have not yet seen the threat or clearance.

Abstract: Embodiments include a method, system and computer program product for detecting impersonation attempts in social media messaging. Aspects include receiving, via a social media network, a message from a sender to a recipient and analyzing a content of the message to extract factual statements from the message. Aspects also include analyzing a profile of the recipient to extract facts from the profile and comparing each of the factual statements to the facts from the profile. Based on a determination that one of the factual statements are verifiable by at least one of the facts, aspects include assigning a likelihood score to the factual statements. Aspects further include calculating a legitimacy score for the message based at least in part on the likelihood score of each verified factual statement from the message and transmitting the legitimacy score and the message to the recipient.
